I have run it on about 500 files and it mostly runs OK but it has failed about 30 times. Do you think that the delay needs to be increased? Is there anywhere to look for why it failed?

Use Case: Protecting a Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure

Microsoft Azure is rapidly becoming the norm in dynamic IT environments. This document describes the challenges that organizations face when protecting data in a hybrid cloud IT environment and presents a use case to demonstrate how Acronis Backup protects all data.

File storage in the cloud for Mac, PC, iPhone

I want the cloud storage location to act as a network file share, not a  file distribution center where copies everything to every device you have.  With the small size of SSD drives that is proven to be impractical.

How do you store items in the cloud and not have them synchronize everywhere.

I am testing out Cloud Mounter and Commander 1 Pro on the MAC

A friend of mine is an Android user.  In the past, I could use Messages on my iPhone and Mac to text message them.  The outline of the messages with them would be green (which usually indicates they're a non iPhone user).

A recent update on my Macbook have suddenly made it not possible for me to get texts from my friend.  I still get texts on my iPhone, but they are not showing up in Messages anymore on my Macbook.

How do I turn this back on?

What are the correct methods for setting up a local NAS as the destination for holding Time Machine backups on a Mac OS Sierra v. 10.12.6 Mac?

The path where I would like to store these backups is 10.99.199.249.

I have typed in the following command within the terminal:

sudo tmutil setdestination -p afp://TimeMachine@10.99.199.249/Backups/MBP

Open in new window

However, I receive the message "Failed to open session. (error 5)
The backup destination could not be set"

What can be done to fix this issue so that I can use the NAS as the backup destination for the Time Machine backups?

What is the process for mapping Box.com as a shared network resource within Mac OS X?

We would like to be able to access our Box.com cloud resource directly without having to access and local or network resources.

How can this be done?

Someone has created this Macro for me to import data from a number of workbooks into the one in which the macro is running.  All workbooks are in the same folder.  Trouble is, although this runs fine on a Windows PC (Excel 2016), it doesn't run on a Mac (also 2016).  It comes up with an "Run-time error '53' File not found".

Incidentally, the last line calls another Macro I recorded that just Word Wraps a column in the workbook.  The last line of that calls another macro that adds in some text to say that the macro has run successfully.  I don't think the error is about the calls but if you can suggest how to add the lines into the first Macro, below, that would be great.

Any ideas what is preventing this run on a Mac?
Thanks

I have 2 macOS 10.12.5 + HP 2055DN LaserJet + HP OfficeJet Pro 8210 all Ethernet [CAT-5] connected to Apple Airport Extreme.

Ever since I backed up one of the Macs with resident Acronis, a request to print from either Mac returns:

This printer has been paused. Do you want to resume printing?

If you do not want to resume the printing of jobs, you may add this job to the printer for later printing. If you select Resume and the printing of jobs cannot be resumed, this job will automatically be added to the printer.

Cancel / Add to Printer / Resume

The result of all this is NO Printing! Nada, Zilch - nothing. No matter which option I select or how long I wait. Rebooting all except Airport Extreme does not help. Sometimes the 8210 control panel displays ‘Printing’ - it does not.

As some of you may know, I have been trying for some weeks to establish a fixed IP address for this printer.l NO Luck Yet…

When I power up the printer, the IP address is: 10.0.1.134 - before the Acronis backup, I could print from both Macs until the 8210 timed out and I had to reboot the 8210.

As you might expect I am getting desperate…

If it were not that I need the color printer and there is an AC unit in my office window, the 8210 would be a candidate for Defenestration.

A solution would be most welcome !!

I am looking for a way to create a web app in the dock of macOS (just like you are able to do in Windows with Chrome and then pin it to the task bar).

For example, we use Zoho CRM.  So I would like to be able to click on a icon (with a custom icon or fav icon for website) and be able to open a window with it.

Is this possible?

I have tried the 'rm -rf' on the folders that it says online are the cache folders for chrome, but was only lucky with clearing 1of the folders - ~/Library/Caches/Google/Chrome/Default/Cache.  I tried manually deleting the files from the other folder that a search result said was another chrome cache folder but the cookies did not clear.

Stopped there, wondering if anyone has invented this wheel?  I am using Sierra OS X.  Thanks, Dawn

In Mac OS X and in both Firefox and Chrome, latest versions, new email in AOL doesn't appear unless I click on another folder such as Old Mail and then click on New Mail.

In the past, from time to time, I've had to follow this MO to see new mail, but now the site no longer delivers new mail automatically.

The fact that this is occurring in two browsers leads me to feel that this is an AOL problem and nothing I can at the moment do anything about. But your thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Please note that OS X "Lion" 10.7 and subsequent versions of OS X are not capable of running Mac OS X apps originally written for the PowerPC processor as these operating systems do not support the "Rosetta" environment. To run PowerPC applications on…

I have a client that has recently updated their Macbook Pro from 10.12.4 to 10.12.5. After the upgrade, the macbook can no longer print to any printer. When printing from any program, the print goes into the macbook print queue as a “Paused” job. The macbook can successfully ping the printers, as well as browse to their configuration pages. We have tried resetting the printer subsystem and re-installing the printers with no luck. We also went and grabbed the newest drivers for each model, also with no success. Printers include an HP Laserjet Pro 400 M451nw, a Kyocera TasKalfa 5551ci, and a HP CP2025. All of the printers work fine from the rest of their Windows clients. The mac is not domain joined, and is not using the print server to communicate to the printers.

Hi All,

Managed to export my Calendar from Mac OSX to a .ICS file which was then imported into Outlook 2013, this all worked fine with all the daily entries etc but within most of the daily entries were attachments (.pdf's etc...) which are no longer there.

I went back to the Mac to look at the calendar and they are definitely still visible, seems the export failed to do the attachments.

Any ideas ?

I had this question after viewing Excel VBA To Print range To PDF And Save Using Name In Cell.

I am attempting to set up a macro for my employer to automatically save a sheet print area as a PDF that gets its name from a cell on the sheet.  I have attempted to use the code from the above link as well as the code below but cannot get either to work.  I am a novice with VBA and am unsure of what I need to change to correct the code.

Sub SavePDFMacro()

    ActiveSheet.ExportAsFixedFormat Type:=xlTypePDF, Filename:= _
    "Macintosh HD:Users:LakeBarrine:Desktop:" & Range("E10").Value, Quality:= _
    xlQualityStandard, IncludeDocProperties:=True, IgnorePrintAreas:=False, _
    OpenAfterPublish:=True
End Sub

I am running Excel for Mac 2011 version 14.5.5

For the purposes of this request, I am trying to save to a folder in Documents called Invoices,
My account user name is LakeBarrine, and
The cell with the data I want recorded as the PDF document name is cell E10.
