I work for an IT team in one of the departments at our organization. The organization purchased licenses for Adobe Acrobat DC recently and the central IT group had a meeting to show us how to use the Adobe Enterprise Portal to assign the licenses. These are subscription licenses which will be renewed annually. When we assign a license to a user, they get an email from Adobe with a link to download and install the product. They have to authenticate to download the installer (which really is just a link to download the installer). THEN after they install Acrobat DC and launch it, they have to authenticate again. Problem is, many users are not admins on their computers so our team got the actual install file (msi) and, using the Adobe Customization Wizard here

made a customized installer we could push out with SCCM to the Windows computers we wanted to upgrade to Acrobat DC. Then we sent instructions to the user to launch DC and go through the registration/authentication process to use the product.

We also decided to customize the install file so it did NOT install the feature called "Send and Track" because we do not want our users to be sending attachments to the Adobe cloud. This all works on the Windows side.

We also have a Jamf Pro instance at our organization.

I have a document based app but I have secondary windows with grids for entering data that are modal.
User clicks button to open secondary window... lets say they add some data there... then they click
the red ball to close the window (instead of clicking the save button).

Should we revert back to the data before they opened the window?
In which case their edits are lost.
Should we save the changes but just close the window?
Hi I have a certificate which I need to distribute to all my MACs.
All of them are on a domain.
An office of 9 Macs. All up to date OS wise. All are joined to the domain xxxxxx.local and can log on and authenticate as domain users.

Connecting to the server to access a share  brings this message: There was a problem connecting to the server. URLs with the type "smb:" are not supported.

Only happening on one Mac. Any ideas? I've removed it and re-added it to the domain fine!!! It picks up and IP address just fine but SMB seems problematic. I had been fine for the past 10 days since I bought and installed it...

Does anyone know of a one click solution to open up .MSG folders in Mac Mail?

I have tried MSG Viewer but the user has to jump through hoops just to open one attachment.

There must be a better way?
Trying to upgrade to Mac OS Sierra from El Capitan.

Start the install by copying file to local desktop, double clicking the file and install starts fine.
After the first install wizard starts, and all ready to restart, mac then just hangs with blank screen with mountain backdrop and no menu bar and wont restart, even if left overnight.

Have tried several times to install.
Tried running first aid several times to check disk, this runs ok and then you click on done, restart the mac and try the install again but no joy.
Tried enabling 'root' user but install doesn't even start.
Tried deleting files in '/library/launchagents' and '/librarylaunchdaemons'

Can anyone shed any light on this issue of a way to install sierra please?.

Many thanks for your time and input.
Back story - MyCloud NAS disk not recognised by PC or Mac.

Removed disk (inside MyCloud case was a WD 4TB RED)  which I connected  to S-ATA port on PC.

Used an application call UFS Explorer to transfer (mostly) media files to external Toshiba USB disk.

All files copied over. Or so I thought but a large number of  .mp3 files will not play. They are however all visible.

Strange Issue common to both WD4TB and Toshiba. When both of these are plugged into a Mac system. The message "the disk you inserted is unreadable" appears.

What could be the problem?
We have used ajax call with "async: false" through out our web application, now in Safari browser(in Windows and Mac OS both) if response gets delayed more than 5 seconds Safari browser throws dom timeout exeption.

	type: "POST",
	contentType: "application/json; charset=utf-8",
	url: "Web method url",
	data: jsonData,
	async: false,
	success: function (data) {
	error: function (data) {
	complete: function () {

The straight solution we found through different blogs is to set "async: true" or implement setTimeout() logic, that will fix the issue we have already tested that.

But we are looking for another solution that is there any way like by any property in configuration or AJAX call or any browser setting we can increase JavaScript Execution time for Safari browser.

I have an iMac running Sierra. This is connected to a network printer in a small office. The network printer has a static IP address. The other Macs in-network, have no issues printing to this device at any time.
On the iMac in question, my client is running Parallels with Windows 8.1 installed. Simply put, they can print from the OSX side only when Parallels is closed. After you open the virtual machine, the printer simply goes to Offline and cannot be connected to. There is no problem printing in the virtual environment.
Obviously, they can close Parallels to print to get by, but ultimately this is a system that did work up until a week or two ago. I have reinstalled the latest printer drivers from the manufacturer in OSX. I have also found many, many forums addressing this exact issue. Some dating far back, but none of the solutions see relevant to my scenario. The client believes they may have changed a setting in Parallels inadvertently. This is plausible but honestly, I am a PC/Network guy and do not interact much with OSX.
Ultimately we just want them to be able to print again normally in OSX and Parallels simultaneously.
I am running a Apple MacBook (Retina, 12-inch, Early 2016) and OSX 10.13.1 (17B48) as a company note book. Today it is the 3rd time i discovered item in my trash which do not belong to me. I can not say if this has happened before nor how long this is already happening. I found this more or less by accident. The files must belong to one of my colleagues. I have colleagues running PC's and Mac's. We are working in a co-working-space where we use our own router but use the network from the landlord. All trash items so fare where just colleague stuff wich i know from the content of course. the first time i discovered this i turned of all kind of file-sharing etc... but it keeps on happening.

I'm currently encountering an issue with Java Development under Eclipse IDE on Mac OS X.

Eclipse cannot terminate the program, when stopping by pressing the stop-button. When i start the program in debug mode, however it can terminate the program. On Windows I also do not have this issue.

When running the .jar-file on mac, also the program cannot be terminated correctly, on Windows there is no problem.

Does anyone know how to solve this?

Any hints appreciated.

Hello Experts. I have a Mac Pro running Mac OS 10.10.5. There is a Smalltree 4-port NIC installed that I use for iSCSI connections to our SAN.  Each NIC is on its own subnet. My question is, how do I keep the 4 ports I use for the SAN from registering their IPs on my DNS server. I want the Mac's LAN to register but not the iSCSI connections. When they register, it messes up name resolution. I've tried entering just to see if would suffice but it didn't. I appreciate your time!
I want to connect the iMac to additional two monitors .
So the iMac will be in the middle and one monitor on each side.

Now when I tried it , I got an error , that it's taking too much of the computer resources .

What is the est way to accomplish this?
I've been working on a MAC server which has recently died that has a directly attached Apple storage array. We were able to replace the server with another used server which is almost identical but had to reload the OS. We've swapped in the LSI fiber channel card and attached the array. After we fire everything up we can see and manage the two raid arrays on the storage however we only see two sharepoints/mounts. The problem we are having is that data / volumes or possible an addition mount point appears to be missing as in all the data is old or folders that used to be there are gone. We are in the process of trying to restore but in the meantime does anyone have any thoughts or ideas?
