Hi Experts,

I have a client that did a mail blast using mailchimp and says that those emails went to Junk or Promo folders.

If I was to do the blast using PHP and loop one by one email, would this be avoided?

Thanks,

Dear Experts

I have been told by few that even if we have good list that is opted in contacts if we use email marketing tool like mail chimp, campaign monitor etc   and engage with customers about our new product offerings still the mail will deliver to spam. I am not accepting this but they say such mails will either go to spam or they go to promotional emails category. please suggest is this how it works. thanks in advance

Hi

One of the staff use mail chimp and sends out the news letters through mail chimp campaign.
When the news letter is viewed in outlook 2013 it looks ok, but if I view through OWA 2007, the formatting is all over the place. Please let me know how to trouble shoot this.
Will there be any settings in exchange, that I need to enable or disable. OR will this be something that needs to be done in mailchimp.

Thanks  and any help would be great.

There is no MailChimp 'Content' heading in design mode, along with 'Design' and 'Comments' which do exist.

The 'Content' pane is required to access Content Blocks in the design mode.

This URL - http://kb.mailchimp.com/campaigns/content-blocks/about-content-blocks - lists the Content Block Types which can be dragged into the design area.

I need a text block to create image with wrapped text

I am using free version of MailChimp

One of our RSS feed URL's has been https://neighborsofchampaign.com/feed?cat=-4  originally set to pull our General News feed from a Wordpress site.  These RSS feeds are being used with MailChimp campaigns.

Other specific Wordpress categories are formatted  https://www.neighborsofchampaign.com/?cat=210&feed=rss2

Questions:
1. What is the -4 value effect on the RSS feed?  Note: the actual category ID for General News is 3 in our case.
2. Is the domain/?cat=xxx&feed=rss2  the formal way to format rev 2 of RSS?

I am the designated admin for multiple MailChimp accounts.  Recently noticed one of our subscription links for a production site, seems to have one of my development domain names within the URL.

Our production site for our Calendar subscriptions is https://calendar.neighborsofchampaign.com

The MailChimp subscription form link is:
http://etcil.us13.list-manage2.com/subscribe is the URL in question.

Odd thing is:
"etcil" happens to be one of my development domains.

The subscription form does its job, but has me concerned should the time come where my development site become unavailable.  This does not seem like a coincidence and has me bugged :)   Looking for help back tracking to understand what the connection is?

Hi
Can anyone help here?  I found a user trying this recently, thus uploading client addresses to it for mailing.   We blocked it as we have an internal solution.
Where is the data stored?  Would anyone else use this for corporate mass email marketing?
Thanks

if you look at my code over mobile, the sentences that wrap tuck under the numbers and the shorter sentences get indented too much. looks great in desktop but does anyone know how to fix these 2 issues in mobile?

Hi there. I am running an email with Mailchimp and over mobile, I have 3 yellow buttons at top that I can't seem to get centered and they appear left-aligned. Here is the html:

<style type="text/css">@media only screen and (max-width: 480px){

			padding-bottom:4px !important;
        }

    }

Our company uses mailchimp to send out company emails.  Because of security in outlook 2013/2016, they have to click the "click here to download pictures" link to download the images.  I have a list of mail servers that mailchimp uses and was wondering if there is a way in exchange 2013 to add these to a whitelist and then make it prevent the users from getting this message.  I understand I can turn the feature off using group policy, however, I would rather only allow it off for certain mail senders.  Is this possible?

Thanks

I have a user who wants to use Mailchimp to send newsletters to their list contacts.  Although I see emails would be originating from Mailchimp’s servers, they would actually be shown as originating from our domain (with the help of SPF and DKIM records).

In view of this, could this potentially affect and risk the reputation of our domain and/or own mail server in a blacklist scenario?  Or would a potential blacklist be isolated solely to the IP addresses of the Mailchimp servers...

We have recently switched our DMARC policy from "none" to "quarantine".  We utilize MailChimp and have followed their instructions to add their server information to our SPF and DKIM records.  When we send out our test campaign, both SPF and DKIM pass but DMARC is failing.  As I understand it, this is because SPF and DKIM are passing based on the "mandrillapp.com" domain, but this doesn't match the domain in the From field (ourdomain.com).  Redacted message header from a test mailer is at the bottom.

Firstly, am I understanding the issue correctly?  Secondly, does somebody have a recommendation on what adjustment I can make so that these messages are not flagged?

It appears from this article (http://wiki.asrg.sp.am/wiki/Mitigating_DMARC_damage_to_third_party_mail) that I can take steps to obscure the from email address so that it is not suggesting that the message originates from myaddress@ourdomain.com.  Ideally, however we would prefer this to remain so that recipients can click reply directly.

Thanks in advance!

I see there is a $10/month fee

I do see "499 subscribers remaining until your plan requires an upgrade."

I see the Pro version costs $200/month

I need this to be able to send out thousands of email, way more than 2,000. But I can not spend $200/month.

I was told there's a $20/month service for unlimited emails, but I can not find that.

Am I in a pickle?

Thanks

I want this service but do not have $300 as an annual fee.

My media guy has trouble with MailChimp, finding a way to do the automation and integration of the emails for sign-ups, using only free tools.

Any goo alternatives? Once I get a rate, I would consider the $300, but want to get the first few mailing out.

Thanks

Hi Everyone.
I'm having problems with a DMARC with 123-reg domain settings - Can anyone help me with what the format should be?
the dmarc is from mailchimp and they have told me to create a Cname record with this -

"k1._domainkey.mydomain.co.uk" with the value of "dkim.mcsv.net"

The problems I have/had so far in the past 8 days.
1) 123-reg DNS userface - if you enter the above "k1._domainkey.mydomain.co.uk" it cuts to "k1._domainkey"
2) Got 123-reg to input the full address for me waited 48hrs and the Cname was never listed on any 3rd Party DNS Lookup.
3) Did a full DNS report from MXToolbox and it came up saying that dmarc had Missing or Invalid Record.

after a bit hitting my head on the wall I found this on MailChimp site - which reads -
DKIM requires underscores in the CNAME file. However, in the past, DNS didn’t allow for underscores and some registrars still do not allow them to appear in the CNAME file. If you receive an error to this effect when you attempt to set up your custom DKIM, the issue is on the registrar's side. We recommend that you set up a secondary custom domain specifically for email with a registrar that allows underscores, switch DNS providers, or reach out directly to your current DNS provider about this issue.

I have asked 123-reg to confirm if this would be the problem but still waiting for the tickit to be answered (11Hrs and counting)
So can anyone shed some light on what could be going wrong? - I dont mind …

We are looking for advice on a proper SPF record.  Our current record is as follows:
V=spf1 mx ~all

But after doing some research, it seems that we should have a different setup like this:
v=spf1 mx a ip4:xx.xx.xx.xx include:mailchimp.com ?all

Where:
1) ip4:xx.xx.xx.xx = our mail server external address
2) include:mailchimp.com = mailchimp sends marketing emails on our behalf, but through their system, not ours

We have used a few of the online SPF creation tools, but all this seemed to have done is confuse us more.  We want to make sure that our emails are received without issue on other systems, but don't want to open things up too much - especially with the mailchimp service.  Any advice/explanation would greatly be appreciated.

Thanks

Bulk emailing really isn't my thing - so I'm not really aware of all the legalities/customs/conventions/etc with how lists are to be managed.

I was told today that if, say, I wanted to move my list from Constant Contact to Mailchimp (or go from any "mailer" to another) - I legally have to notify everyone on my list that the change is being made and give them the option to opt out before the switch is made.

Is that true?

Free Tool: Subnet Calculator

The subnet calculator helps you design networks by taking an IP address and network mask and returning information such as network, broadcast address, and host range.

One of a set of tools we're offering as a way of saying thank you for being a part of the community.

My client wants something like Constant Contact or Mail Chimp. They want to be able to use Reuters and Associated Press content in their newsletters. My guess is that is 2 separate things. I've used both CC and MailChimp but never Reuters/Associated Press. Lastly, my client is a healthcare provider.

Any guidance much appreciated.

I am working on constant contact for a similar task
but this question is mailchimp only (because the client has mailchimp already)

only using mailchimp or mailchimp api

is there a way to send a website user activation email
I guess sending user their userid
or sending user md5(userid)

where they click to activate their membership on a website

Instantly after member joins website by filling form, want to send email using constant contact mailchimp sendgrid.  If it requires admin interaction or can not be done on any of the 3internet mail programs please let me know

I think constant contact mailchimp require manual list submission making this task impossible

Hello,

I have an email marketing system set up on my server, and I am currently purchasing email sending from an SMTP relay service. The service has provided me SPF and DKIM records that I have set up on the domain that I have the email marketer installed on that physically sends the emails (www.mydomain.com).

I also manage email marketing campaigns for many of my clients from this system. When I send an email out on behalf of my clients, the "From" field in my email marketer looks like "support@myclientswebsite.com" which I type in. I am noticing though that many of my clients emails are ending up in the SPAM folder in bigger sites like Hotmail and Gmail.

My question is, where is the proper place to install the SPF and DKIM records? On the domain that I have the email marketer installed which I have currently, or do I need to be adding it to whatever domains I specify the "From" to be on the outgoing emails? The emails are technically coming FROM "myserver.com"... I always thought the "From" that I put in when sending it out is just a vanity name.

If I have to something with my actual clients domains, then how do sites like Mailchimp and Constant Contact work? I don't think they do anything with the clients domain, yet they still seem to have high deliverability rates.

Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks!

We are currently using Constant Contact to do our email marketing.  We have over 5000 so it's costing us $75.  Is there a different, cheaper, solution that's just as good?
