Hi All,

I have an issue where i need to stop my MS Dynamics CRM ver. 4.0 plugin for Outlook 2010 from automatically populating the Trusted Sites of IE with the CRM website.

The reason being is that we have an application that requires the same website to be part of Local Intranet only.  As soon as the site is part of Trusted Sites it stops working as expected.

I have two environments, one with IE 9 and one with IE 11.  The IE 9 environment does not have an issue with both of the sites being part of Trusted Sites AND Local Intranet.
The environment with IE 11 doesnt work if it is part of Trusted Sites and MUST be only part of Local Intranet.

Our system is:

Windows Server 2008 R2
Outlook 2010
MS Dynamics CRM v. 4.0 update 21
Internet Explorer 11

Any help is apprecaited

Im using the Microsoft "Data Migration Utility" from the SDK download, and have managed to export the schema and data into a Zip file, I then connect to my O365 instance and start the upload, map the users then I run into issues. Im getting errors about missing fields in the O365 tenant.

I assumed that as I was exporting from the on-premise solution it would include all the customisation I had.

Any advise/ideas what I need to do to export my config and import it into O365?

Thank you

We are trying to use dynamics crm 365 for our insurance agency broker company.
like we have agency(company), agent (1099 license agent), insurance carrier. and we are not sure
which crm default entities should be fitted above 3.

We understood we can customized by adding new one entity. but we just try to follow what crm already have so I hope I can find experts here know what to do.

We have a CRM database we use for sale staff, I inhertied it as part of a network when we took over.

yesterday the domain controlled crashed so to get everyone up and running we setup a new DC, new domain and joined everyone too it.

Now when we go to the CRm website http://SERVERNAME:5555 we get user not recognised, but ofcourse the users are now NEWDOMAIN\username instead of OLDDOMAIN\username

I have regained access to the SQL database but cannot get into the CRM deployment manager as it says "only the deployment administrators are able to use the deployment manager"

Is there anyway I can make the CRM available to anyone on the network or alternatively how I can add the new users through SQL?

I am facing dynamics 2011 and our developers are no longer with us. And I see there is button in the ribbon and I would like to see how to codes look like on the button. I know there is solution there but I am not sure how to get file to see the codes inside.

I am pretty new in dynamics 2011 but I am mature asp.net developers. please see if you can direct me to find it.

Our client has Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009:
Kernel Version: 5.0.1500.6491
Application Version: 5.0.1500.6491
running on Server 2008 Terminal Server

We have an issue where the export to excel feature is not available for remote users.
The application is published on a remote app, with the server it is sitting on, not having Microsoft Office installed.

Local users (who have the AX installation installed), can use the export to excel add in. This is because it must detect their local Microsoft Office installation.

However remote users, cannot use this function. It doesn't even show.
Is there a way for AX 2009 to call the local installation of Microsoft Excel for remote users. All remote users have Microsoft Office installed on their machine.

Thanks

I'm writing a script to change settings within AX depending which environment it is in (Test, Dev, Prod). I have everything good to go except the BCP account entry. I have not found it in the Database, so wanted to know what table to look in. This way if I need to move live data from Prod to Test, all I need to do is run the script and changes all those settings to the Test settings. Any help would be appreciated.

We are in the process of building a new MS Dynamics GP server. We have installed windows server 2016 std and SQL server 2014 std. and Dynamics GP 2016. We have set the maximum memory in the Server properties to 60GB out of t he 64GB RAM "installed" in  this VM.

We are currently upgrading the databases from GP 2015 to GO 2016 SQL Server and the OS and SQL Server are only using 5 GB RAM and the GP Expert thinks it should be using much more RAM at this point.

Can anyone give me some ideas on what to check for why SQL is not using much more RAM?

I had this question after viewing MS Access alternative for the web.

Frankly, I was looking for cheap alternative for MS Dynamics. The only way to get something like that is to develop by myself.
So how do you think if i start to develop the system built like this scheme:

Javascript UI (frontend)  - PHP (application server for business logic) - MySQL (or Maria DB) as storage.

I want to make frontend fully emulated desktop application with code run on client side. The software has to be simply and fast customizable, also the software has to be lightweight and able to be placed on vitual hosting, with no limits (per user, per record) , no monthly payments. Once developed and works for free.

I wonder if someone else needs such software?

I am working on a plugin and have written a function to pull back any incidents that have the ticket number passed into the function. A fairly simple function but for some reason I am receiving back a -1 value from the property TotalRecordCount on the EntityCollection. My understanding is that this means it is not finding any records at all but I know that there is a record with the ticket number being passed in. I must be missing something anyone have any thoughts?
 internal EntityReference fetchCaseByCaseNumber(string caseNumber, IOrganizationService service, ITracingService tracingService)
        {
            Entity incident;

            //tracingService.Trace("Creating QueryByAttribute");
            //QueryByAttribute querybyattribute = new QueryByAttribute("incident");
            //querybyattribute.ColumnSet = new ColumnSet("incidentid", "ticketnumber");
            //querybyattribute.Attributes.AddRange("ticketnumber");
            //querybyattribute.Values.AddRange(caseNumber);
            //EntityCollection incidents = service.RetrieveMultiple(querybyattribute);

            tracingService.Trace("Creating Query...");
            QueryExpression query = new QueryExpression
            {
                EntityName = "incident",
                //PageInfo = new PagingInfo() {count },
                ColumnSet = new ColumnSet("incidentid", "ticketnumber"),
                Criteria = new FilterExpression
                {
                    Conditions =

I have a requirement to migrate data from Non MS CRM system to MS CRM system using SSIS. Can anyone share or guide me on this.

Which one is the best to extract data from source system (XLSX or CSV).  And Steps to follow during migration please

Hello,

I need to do data migration, the input would be .csv or excel file(s).
What would you prefer?

1. Import Wizard
2. SSIS

What are the pros & cons for both approaches?
Is there any other approach?

FYI, I've multiple files with millions of records along with documents or attachments mapping as well.

I am trying to access an online CRM 2016 organization to create a report using Visual Studio 2012.  The format I used in CRM 2015 (https://apolloconsulting.api.crm.dynamics.com/XRMServices/2011/Organization.svc) apparently has changed:

I found a post that discusses this but I am still not able to access to the organization.

I need someone to make me smarter on how to access an CRM 2016 using the organization service.

Thanks

I am trying to help a small non-profit choose and implement/integrate a CRM.  They have a custom application, written in MSAccess, that handles all their business.  The board-of-directors wants to move the donors into a more modern, perhaps more powerful, CRM.

They need to be able to track donations, do strategic queries, and support both email and snail mail activities.

In addition to my own search results, I wondered if any of you might have some recommendations.

Hi all,

Yes want some guide in how dynamic works.

So i have office 365 with dynamics enabled.

I am trying to understand that :

How much its going to cost to use online version if its per giga byte or just one license cost per month.

Also if my supplier build an application for me in dynamics 365 can i move that to my version or do i have to do the configuration again?

Regards,

Ammar

We are trying to find a way to grey-out all the controls when the user enters the window.  We can do this control by control, but we are searching some command or function that can do this.

I am working on developing a way to receive emails to a specific contact (or queue) to archive emails related to a contact.  These are not necessarily emails being tracked within CRM 2016.  The contact receiving an email may not have an email address in which case the email should go to a global contact with information from the email.

Thanks

We use MS Dynamics CRM to send emails to our hotel guests.

I know little about how it works, but am looking for some guidance on how to make changes as to when these automatic emails go out (i.e., send immediately after check-out).

Can anyone point me in the right direction or can direct me to a good resource for CRM?

Anyone know if there is any documentation/Web sites that detail what each security operation enables in GP 2010?

I am trying to create an appointment as part of a plugin for Microsoft dynamics CRM 2015. I can successfully create tasks and other custom entities but the appointment creation fails. I am guessing I am missing something simple. Below is a sample of the relevant code.

        public void Execute(IServiceProvider serviceProvider)
        {
            ITracingService tracingService = (ITracingService)serviceProvider.GetService(typeof(ITracingService));
            IPluginExecutionContext context = (IPluginExecutionContext)serviceProvider.GetService(typeof(IPluginExecutionContext));
            if (context.InputParameters.Contains("Target") && (context.InputParameters["Target"] is Entity))
            {
                try
                {
                    Entity entity = context.PostEntityImages["PostImage"];
                    if (entity.LogicalName == "new_occasion")
                    {
                        tracingService.Trace("EventAppointmentSynchPlugin: Creating the appointment activity.");

                        DateTime startTime = (DateTime)entity.Attributes["new_departureenddate"];
                        DateTime endTime = (DateTime)entity.Attributes["new_starttime"];

                        Entity ne = new Entity("appointment");

                        ne["subject"] = "Test Appointment";
                        ne["description"] = "Test Description";
                        ne["location"] = "Office";
