Hello Experts,

A per URL below, we have some users experiencing an issue with emailing from OneNote.

When "Inserting Meeting Details" into onenote, it appears that onenote is pulling email address information from an incorrect field. It appears to be that some people's addresses are showing up as NTID@domain.com

This issue only happens for a few users, and not all of them. There is no pattern, my NTID and email address do not match either, but it pulls properly, whereas other users their NTID and email address do not match, and do not pulls properly.

It seems like the fix is to create a GPO to apply all users and follow steps in the link above.

I would like to validate with you the following: Please, elaborate your answers

Should we correct the SIP addresses OR the route of making this registry change/applying Group Policy?

What is the best practice for cases like this? Should we implement the fix via GPO, or make everyone to match their SIP address and email address?

Are there any other 0365 products that may be experiencing same issue because of different SIP and email addresses?

What is the service impact of changing SIP addresses for domain users?

Please, provide the name of the application affected, i.e. SFB, One Note, Cisco Jabber, Oulook, authentication, ADFS?

I work with sharepoint foundation newest bulid and OneNote 2016 (office 365). And I have a OneNote file inside of a library and saved as web template. If I produce a new web, I have a new OneNote. That works fine. But when I open the OneNote the first time, the section has a message "loading process running... please wait" (german: Ladevorgang läuft... bitte warten). Nothing happens.
I can generate new sections, thats ok, but my template sections remain in this loading state.

In the library generated in this way, the "section" property is set as required even when I switch it off bevor I save the web as template.
Strange, isn't it?

Does anyone know how to solve this?
Thanks in advance.

Hello Experts,

I have been pretty impressed with Microsoft 'SideNotes', see image. It allows you to comment/annotate from certain websites. However, there isn't any information on how to manage the notes. For example, I can view all the notes I've ever taken, however I can't delete them, or prevent them from being shared.

Can someone shed some light on SideNotes please.

Please note, this isn't the same as OneNote.

Controller disconnects from Xbox One randomly yet constantly.  On average it disconnects about once every 2-3 minutes making gameplay nearly impossible.  In other words every 2-3 minutes the controller starts “blinking” and whatever game I am playing pauses and the Xbox displays “controller disconnected.”  I then have to wait for the controller to stop blinking (reconnect) then try to continue play.  I stated on “average” every 2-3 minutes, but sometimes it is non-stop (disconnect, reconnect, immediately disconnect, repeat.

I had a friend bring over two of his controllers to test them to see if it is a problem with the controller you sent me or both the controller and the console.  While playing, the controller you sent me disconnected at least once every few minutes.  His controllers disconnected approximately 5 times in the course of a half hour of play.

I played the Jackbox Party Pack that connects to your smartphone via the Wi-Fi connection and had no issues over the course of at least an hour of play with a friend using only smartphones. Does that rule out the Wi-Fi Chip? Should it be the RF Module Board or both that are replaced?

TROUBLESHOOTING STEPS ALREADY TAKEN:

- Plugged controller in via USB cable and “updated” to latest firmware.
- Hard wired the xbox one to the modem eliminating it needing to wirelessly connect.
- Moved the xbox one from the enclosed shelf to the top of the entertainment center so that is is not surrounded by any other materials; …

I've been having serious problems with OneNote 2016. The first problem is renaming sections (or naming them in the first place); when I try to add a new section and name it, the name automatically reverts to "New Section 1." When I try to rename it, the same thing happens. After opening and closing the app multiple times, I have finally been able to rename and have it stick. However, I can't figure out why this is happening (and it continues to do so), and I need to fix it. I am able to rename Pages, but only by typing the title in the Page itself.

My second problem involves the navigation pane. When I first opened OneNote, it worked fine (I'm actually a big fan of having it on the left and seeing section titles there). However, now it has changed to only display pages. When I right click on the pages/sections and select "navigation panes" or when I am in a page and click on the "navigation panes" button at the top, it only allows me to select "Pages Only" or "Hide All." If I press the back arrow at the top of the pages pane I can see all the navigation panes, but as soon as I click on a page the same thing happens. If I open and close the app multiple times sometimes it allows me to view all panes or view pages and sections, but not consistently. When it does work I have the issue with section names.

It's been awhile since this came out, so I figure if this is a bug a lot of people are having it would be fixed (or at least addressed) by now. I've been searching …
