We have an issue on a large Citrix Environment with One Note 2010 backup files and also the Cache file location.
When a user is logging on and opening One Note (users have many  notes open on taskbar). The backup is ran once per day as per default and then fills the Citrix Vdisk cache up causing issues. To get around the backup issues we can setup a GPO and disable backup and also redirect the folder to the user home file store.

The main issue we have is around the One Note Cache how do we successfully tackle that. When a user opens One Note with all the Notes a cache database is created in local / appdata  with cache data, in some cases this can grow to a very large size on a Citrix worker server and will also fundamental cause Vdisk cache issues.
The only solution I have see is to use Symbolic link to redirect the folder / files to a drive location other than the drive of the worker server.

There is also an option set to optimize files, which can cause an issues where it optimizes the databases as per default, can this also be disabled ?

Has anyone else worked around this issue in a VDI / Terminal Server / Citrix environment ?

How do I migrate Microsft OneNote notebooks to a new Office365 user account?

I'm currently using OneNote 2016 on my computer and the App on my iPad
I am piloting One Note for our School Improvement Plans for our school district.  I need to be able to merge cells to use one note for this purpose.  How can this be done, or when will it be available?  I love one note and would love to have it as our primary recommendation for district wide use.
I'm looking for advice on how to resolve a OneNote performance issue where OneNote fails to finish synchronizing across all the folders in a very large shared folder structure. Can someone tell me if what we're trying to do is possible, or advisable? Here are the salient points:

1. We want to use OneNote for multiple reasons, including reference information for what types of information & files are in different folders at each level of the infrastructure. Of course, we want this information to be searchable at every level.

2. There are currently 3500+ folders, and it will probably grow to more than 15,000 folders as we consolidate multiple share drive locations into a single structure.

3. Whenever a user opens OneNote files in the new folder structure, s/he just waits and waits, and most of the time OneNote is not able to return any content. (This issue holds true in most situations unless we create a OneNote Notebook manually in a subfolder - in that situation, if a user opens that notebook, only subfolders are synchronized and any OneNote files in folders above it are ignored.)

4. We are starting to look at using SharePoint as the backend to OneNote. The purpose here is to see if we can make OneNote sync with SharePoint and not scour the entire folder structure looking for changes. Has this been done, or is this a worthwhile direction to explore?

Any comments, questions and advice are welcome.

I work with sharepoint foundation newest bulid and OneNote 2016 (office 365). And I have a OneNote file inside of a library and saved as web template. If I produce a new web, I have a new OneNote. That works fine. But when I open the OneNote the first time, the section has a message "loading process running... please wait" (german: Ladevorgang läuft... bitte warten). Nothing happens than, this text remains.
I can generate new sections in OneNote, thats ok, but my template sections remain in this loading state.

In the library generated in this way, the "section" property is set as required even when I switch it off bevor I save the web as template.
Strange, isn't it?

Does anyone know how to solve this?
Thanks in advance.

Controller disconnects from Xbox One randomly yet constantly.  On average it disconnects about once every 2-3 minutes making gameplay nearly impossible.  In other words every 2-3 minutes the controller starts “blinking” and whatever game I am playing pauses and the Xbox displays “controller disconnected.”  I then have to wait for the controller to stop blinking (reconnect) then try to continue play.  I stated on “average” every 2-3 minutes, but sometimes it is non-stop (disconnect, reconnect, immediately disconnect, repeat.

I had a friend bring over two of his controllers to test them to see if it is a problem with the controller you sent me or both the controller and the console.  While playing, the controller you sent me disconnected at least once every few minutes.  His controllers disconnected approximately 5 times in the course of a half hour of play.

I played the Jackbox Party Pack that connects to your smartphone via the Wi-Fi connection and had no issues over the course of at least an hour of play with a friend using only smartphones. Does that rule out the Wi-Fi Chip? Should it be the RF Module Board or both that are replaced?

- Plugged controller in via USB cable and “updated” to latest firmware.
- Hard wired the xbox one to the modem eliminating it needing to wirelessly connect.
- Moved the xbox one from the enclosed shelf to the top of the entertainment center so that is is not surrounded by any other materials; …
