Is there a way to show in a Lookup column the Company Name and Contact from a separate contact's list in SharePoint Online?  I know how to add it as a column in a view, but I was wanting to show both the Company Name and Contact name when choosing it in the drop down.

Does anyone know how to make an access form auto populate on the form the name of who is logged into office 365? My goal is to have access forms on my Sharepoint website for my staff to fill out but whenever they fill out a form, it needs to pull their login in name for verification on who filled out the form.

Greetings experts,

I am trying to locate the AppData for Microsoft Sway and Microsoft Sharepoint. I am able to pinpoint the app data of my other Microsoft Products in my C;\Users such as Word and Excel.

What I am trying to do is link a shortcut to open these applications.

Any help is much appreciated! :)

I have a problem with sharepoint online in combination with metadata and Office. We have created a Sharepoint Team site. Inside the document library we have created a document set with a bunch of shared properties. We have also activated the document ID feature, so each document is created with a uniqe, visible ID. This works fine - all documents have IDs in sharepoint.
Now we want to use this properties in Office (e.g. Word) inside the document footer.
But when I open the document properties page in Word, no additional properties are shown.  We also cannot use them inside the document.
No matter which office version we use.

Is this a limitation of document sets?
Does anybody have an idea?

Thanks in advance!

cheers, Martin
Hello Experts,

I need to create a report in MS Reporting Services connecting to a Calendar in SharePoint and get the fields, EventDate, EventID, Event Start Time, Event End Time and Description. If this is a recurrence then I need the recurrence events as well. I tried connecting using SharePoint List but it is not giving the recurrence data.

Please help.

We have a Sharepoint 2007 farm and 1 of the site collections stopped working all of a sudden. When trying to go to a site we get "File Not Found". Turned on more detailed errors and getting "Resource cannot be found" HTTP 404 The resource you are looking for could have been removed, had it's name change, or is temporarily unavailable. Also getting a bunch or this error in Application Even Viewer. "Console Configuration File Error: File Not Found. The system cannot find the file specified.
We have rebooted the server and have also moved the site collection to a different WFE and it will work for a little bit and then back to getting these errors.
Can't default site on local SharePoint install - get an error on the base url.

Built a new SharePoint server (SPserver).   did some initial setup and testing with sites at http://spserver/company/sp....

No I want to use to get to my site.   I've added the alternative access mapping (works as

but I want to just use

Right now I get a site error page.

How do I setup that default site?
A large amount of files were deleted from a SharePoint site. (Office 365)
Now One Drive is showing many clouds in the PC tray.
When you hover over them they disappear however, they come back.
Anyone seen this?  Any solution to this?
Does anyone know of a way to remove the "send by email" , "published {date}" and the search box in team site from Share point online? It is driving me crazy that I can not remove this navigation bar
I don't care if i have to go into the master page and remove a block of code.

The few things I found online does not seem to work (at least not with the current version of SP online). I've tried using CSS tag and scripts within the web part but they don't work.
I have 1 site (modern page) with a few document libraries. If i sign in as a user and go to one of the document libraries I can access, site content, site permission, and site usage via the gear icon.

I was trying to use SPSecurityTrimmedControl to block access to the gear icon for all users except Admins but that doesn't seem to have any effect whatsoever (or I'm doing it wrong). Does
work anymore for Sharepoint online?

I have this in the Seattle master page:

<SharePoint:SPSecurityTrimmedControl runat="server" Permissions="fullmask">
                                 <span class="ms-siteactions-root" id="siteactiontd">

But it does not seem to work.

I also tried changing viewpages to fullmask but that didn't work either.

<SharePoint:MenuItemTemplate runat="server" id="MenuItem_ViewAllSiteContents"
                                            PermissionMode="Any" />

any help in either removing the gear icon or just hiding site content, site permission from the gear icon would be great.

I also checked the user account. It is in a group and the …
 We have sharepoint 2013 environment . Recently our production environment went down. After contacting Microsoft we figured it out  that SQL query blockage because of large list with unique permission. We have disabled threshold for few sharepoint lists which has more than 5000 records.

Now we have use Microsoft recommended Treshold(5000) limit so we have to enable the threshold. I would like to know the best way to resolve this problem and also best recommend option , impact to break down those larger list?

Can you please advice?
How can I get / retrieve all members of a specific Sharepoint group with C#?
For example I have the Sharepoint group "Visitors" and I need all members of it respectively their e-mail adresses.
Currently within Microsoft Flow, I have a flow which on a weekly basis loops through a SharePoint list and populates a Word Document for each item within the list and saves the result in a separate document library. Is there any way that these documents can be merged into one document (ideally as a pdf).

Where some complexity is added is that the number of documents that will need to be merged will vary, meaning the documents will need to be merged dynamically (perhaps using an array) rather than statically. Can this be done?
 We have sharepoint 2013 environment. We have one custom Access Denied page where i added javascript code to check current user is part of group or not. I am getting userid from"_spPageContextInfo.userId" and use below rest api code to access username.

var ctx = new SP.ClientContext.get_current();
        this.web = ctx.get_web();
        this.currentUser = this.web.get_currentUser();
var userid= _spPageContextInfo.userId;
var requestUri = _spPageContextInfo.webAbsoluteUrl + "/_api/web/getuserbyid(" + userid + ")";
var requestHeaders = { "accept" : "application/json;odata=verbose" };
    url : requestUri,
    contentType : "application/json;odata=verbose",
    headers : requestHeaders,
    success : onSuccess,
    error : onError

Now when user does not have permission for that page and access then it's read the user id but it's authenticate fail for rest api.  Below is the error message.

 HTTP401: DENIED - The requested resource requires user authentication.
(XHR)GET - http://server/_api/web/getuserbyid(47)

How to resolve this problem? I want to read current username from that page. Is there any way that rest api will not fail?
Hi folks,

I have an InfoPath form that does not open in the SharePoint library anymore, due to the trusted certificate expiring.  I have generated a new certificate in infoPath but it states the CA route certificate is not trusted and must be added to the Trusted root cert authorities store.  This form is on an old windows 2003 server.  How do I do this so I can republish the form with the new certificate so suers can open it?

Many thanks
How do I run a Powershell command/script that calls a javascript file (stored in a folder within the main site). The powershell command/script should only apply to 1 specific site collection.

in particular, I found this script online but I can't make out how to run it:

Write-Host "Upload RemoveGearIcon.js"
$f = Add-PnPFile -Path .\RemoveGearIcon.js -Folder "scripts"
$site = Get-PnPSite
$fileUrl = $site.Url + "/Scripts/RemoveGearIcon.js"
Write-Host "Add JavaScript Link"
$jsLink = Get-PnPJavaScriptLink -Name "RemoveGearIcon" -Scope Site
if ($jsLink -ne $null)
    Remove-PnPJavaScriptLink -Identity "RemoveGearIcon" -Scope Site -Force
$link = Add-PnPJavaScriptLink -Name "RemoveGearIcon" -Url $fileUrl -Sequence 200 -Scope Site
