How do I remove a mapping to a SharePoint site via File Explorer?
OS: Windows 10
In File Explorer there is an entry for SharePoint site.

Theory: The best course of action to remove it is to go to HKCU, look for the Network folder and remove the entry associated with the SharePoint site.

Or I could just create a new Windows 10 profile.
See if I can disconnect the the mapping to the SharePoint site.
Open OneDrive for Business and look for the SharePoint site then un-sync it.
Look for the SharePoint sync client and then un-sync the SharePoint site.

Research: https://support.office.com/en-us/article/open-in-explorer-or-view-with-file-explorer-in-sharepoint-66b574bb-08b4-46b6-a6a0-435fd98194cc

Any ideas on what I should do?

User was granted permission to a SharePoint site, but is unable to upload the file, in other words, the upload option is missing when the user visits the SharePoint site.

Method tried: Have the user go to office.com, clicked on the OneDrive tile,  on the left hand pane, the SharePoint site is not present. So I suspect that the permissions were not correctly granted to the site. But the good  news is that the user can login to the SharePoint site.

Is there another way to upload a file to a SharePoint site, beside using the upload button on the column bar. For instance, just dragging the file to the SharePoint site?

Hi all,

I am building an InfoPath 2013 Form in SharePoint 2013. The first 1/3 of the Form is for end users to submit ideas and suggestions, but the remaining two sections of the Form will be for managers and approvers.

Is there a way I can design the Form so the person making the submission can only see that 1st section of the form and not the rest?

I have a wordpress site hosted on ngnix.

We have a need to store  4 jpg images in the site so our sharepoint online page can pull these images into an email.  Ultimately we wanted  a storage place that outlook could get this and build this prescripted email.

The issue though is we some concerned that if someone got the url they could access this.

Is there a way to prevent this folder from being accessed by the outside world, crawled etc...or prevent if someone in theory could get this url?

There has been some incidents in the past in my organization where users are sharing documents from SPO/ODB with external users.

Is there a PS script to get the list of docs that were shared internally or externally and by whom?

It would be of great help.

Haven't fooled with SharePoint since 2007 so forgive my basic and stupid questions here:
I have a need to create a list with 12 columns that is viewable by all, but only editable by a few folks on a certain page within SharePoint O365.  I remember creating these in 2007 as Document Libraries and then setting it's default view to DataView so it would look like Excel columns/rows but that doesn't seem to be working in SharePoint O365.  To further that, column A will be a yes/no check box and if no then highlight entire row a light red in color with all other rows set as yes to be a light green color.

Wondering if you good folks could help. TIA

Hi, I want to delete the title field from a sharepoint online list. Is this possible? I do not want to rename it or hide it if possible. Also I note when I hide the title column it no longer appears on the page but when I try to add a record it still appears! thanks.

Hi I Donno if you can do this or not but thought would ask.

I have a intranet connection that I want to put an excel file on and myself as administrator can add and delete data from it.

I have locations that can view the excel file but  I need it to be in read only and I also need some sort of button in the workbook  that a person can select a row and when click on paid they have to input their name and location and it disappear off the read only screens all over the locations but still be visible to the administrator until he deletes them himself.

Is this possible

Hi experts,

Is is possible to save output from a powershell script to a Microsoft Teams site, or a Sharepoint online site instead of saving locally?

Below example I'm saving to C:\Temp\Outlog.csv and also emailing results.

$TestAdd = "TestGroup"
$TestRemove = "TestRemoveGroup"
$inputfile = "C:\samaccountname.csv"
$outfile = "C:\temp\OutLog.csv"

$adGroupMembersAdd = Get-ADGroupMember -Identity $TestAdd | Select-Object -ExpandProperty distinguishedName
$adGroupMembersRemove = Get-ADGroupMember -Identity $TestRemove | Select-Object -ExpandProperty distinguishedName
$dtFormat = 'yyyy-MM-dd HH:mm:ss'
$results = Import-Csv -Path $inputfile | ForEach-Object {
	$adUser = Get-ADUser -Identity $_.SamAccountName
	$out = $adUser | Select-Object -Property UserPrincipalName, @{n='Time'; e={Get-Date -Format $dtFormat}}, @{n='Group'; e={$TestAdd}}, Action
	If ($adGroupMembersAdd -contains $adUser.distinguishedName) {
		Write-Host -ForegroundColor Cyan " $($adUser.UserPrincipalName) is already a member of $($TestAdd)"
		$out.Action = 'Existing'
	} Else {
		Add-ADGroupMember -Identity $TestAdd -Members $adUser.distinguishedName
		#Write-Host -ForegroundColor Green " $($_.SamAccountName) added to $($TestAdd) successfully" #Add output by UPN
		Write-Host -ForegroundColor Green " $($adUser.UserPrincipalName) added to $($TestAdd) successfully"
		$out.Action = 'Added'
	}
	$out
	$out = $adUser | Select-Object -Property UserPrincipalName, @{n='Time'; e={Get-Date -Format

All of our staff are using Office 365.
We have a separating staff member that has extensive pages/files of OneNote documents. We need to give another person Full rights to all of her OneNote documents. As an example, for OneDrive we this type of permissions via SharePoint admin console. We prefer not to share individual pages as this is very cumbersome.

Does anyone know procedures to give Full access to another persons OneNote documents?

I have a client who has is using Office 365 Business Premium. They want to add Project to their subscription...

After consultation with Microsoft, I was told that Project Online Professional is the version I require.

Well, I have started a Project Online Professional trial but get an error message when I try to assign the Project license to a user with O365 Business Premium: "You can't assign licenses that contain these conflicting services: SharePoint Online (Plan 1), SharePoint Online (Plan 2). Review the services included with each license and try again."

Has anyone else encountered this?

What version of Office 365 should I be looking at to go with Project Online Professional?

Microsoft Word:

Word experienced an error trying to open the file.
Try these suggestions.
*Check the file permission for the document or drive.
*Make sure there is sufficient free memory and disk space.
*Open the file with the Text Recovery converter.

Hi

We have customers that cannot patch SharePoint as quickly as possible. So I have some questions:

1)    How high do you measure this vulnerability, since attacks can be done remotely?
2)    Do we have a temporary possibility to reduce the risk without patching?
3)    If yes, what would you recommend me? (Is there a way to block ports etc. ?)

Thank you in advance
