Hi Experts,
How to add background colour for SharePoint 365 LIST
Hello Experts,
My organization recently migrated from SharePoint 2010 on premises to SharePoint online.   I successfully configured a unique search function in the 2010 environment.  When the site was migrated to SharePoint Online, I am unable to receive any results from the search box that comes out-of-the-box in SharePoint.   I have recreated the search results page in SharePoint Online and still am not successful in receiving any results.   The search criteria must be able to search the meta data in the lists and libraries.  I administrative privileges to the site, but not to the cloud.  Where should I start to look for a solution to my dilemma?  This sub-site is very dependent upon this search function.  Is there an alternative?

Hi Experts,
How to add SharePoint 365 (online) to Outlook.I need to add Calendar and Emails.
if it's possible, without doing each user, how to do every once out look Calendar update
We have a calendar in SharePoint which we need to migrate to a shared calendar in exchange 2016
We have the ICS file from share point but need to know how to create the shared calendar on exchange 2016 and then import the ICS file into the new exchange shared calendar.
I created an intranet to sharepoint (online) , which provide info and documents to the users.

I added the users as visitors (so they can't do any modification). I would like to change the permissions to the documents.
I need the users to be able to upload their documents. There is any way to be able to upload data to documents and the same time to be visitors to site so they will not be able to apply any modification?
How to do this ?
I am trying to connect to my SharePoint webservice through a add on for VS code called SPGo.  I am getting a 407 error. Proxy Authentication Required. I then am trying to use node-sp-auth to find the correct parameters so I can use SPGo. My company uses OneLogin (ADFS). I don't understand how to make the call to get the required information for the proxy.  I think I am supposed to pass the user and pass with a key using SAML.

On another note.  I am making a call from within SharePoint to the API to get my list items without issues.  I think the issue is because of MFA.  I do however have the proxy script address.

The call is just:

			url: "../_api/web/lists/....",
	        type: "GET",
	        headers: {
	            "accept": "application/json;odata=verbose",

Does Workflow Manager 1.0 support in-place upgrade of the operating system?  We have an ongoing effort to retire all of our Windows 2008 servers, and I'm trying to determine if it's possible to perform an in  place upgrade of the OS from Win2008 to Win2012 R2.  Our workflow manager instance is hosted on a dedicated server, outside of the SharePoint farm.  If needed I can build out a new server running 2012, but I'd like to just upgrade the existing server if it's possible.  I can't seem to find anything about this online.  Thanks.
I need a python 3 script to upload files to sharepoint 2010. I can't find anything that works because apparently REST api doesn't work for 2010.

We have Windows 2012 Domain Controllers and windows 10 workstations on our network. We have gone with 0365 and we are going to use SharePoint online and our active directory gets synced with Azure AD.
We have 100 staff and I would like to create a security group called “All Staff group” and would like to give permissions to this group to access the resources.
Firstly, do I need to create a Universal -Security group OR Global- Security group?
Secondly, after creating this group, do I need to add all the 100 staff to this group?
Thirdly, do i need to add any values in the attributes?

Any tutorials  and help much appreciated.
If I setup a retention policy in SharePoint that moves all files in a folder to archive after 5 years, what would happen if I deleted a file in that folder prior to those 5 years ending?  Would there be a warning message or would it deny me from deleting it?  Can I set it to prevent deletion during the retention period?
what is needed to put Sharepoint in cluster?
I have a single Sharepoint (foundation) server and single SQL standard.
Is it possible to put foundation server in cluster?Do I need load balancers?
What do I need to build sharepoint cluster?
Thank you
I have an internal sharepoint website (this site is internal only - NOT available from the web) that has been recreated in O365. I recently configured http redirect in IIS to simply point traffic for that internal server - to be redirected to

I now want to get rid of that server. I need to use internal AD DNS to:

1. Ensure any internal traffic to URL https://central.CompanyName.local (old internal site) will still be pointed to (for anyone that's still using the old URL to access the new O365 site).

2. Ensure any internal traffic to the new URL is directed to that O365 site.

How can i configure DNS to do this?
Hi All,

Hope someone can help. Half way through a 2010-2013 SharePoint Migration. I have run the SPtest against the old database and it has come up with a few error. One of which being that reporting services is not configured. I have been looking at the guide here:

Which says the SQL feature needs installing before enabling within SharePoint, I have the install files for SQL 2014. When I run them I do not get the SharePoint reporting options, either when running a fresh sql install or adding new features.

What am I missing?

Sharepoint 2013 SP1, Virtualbox, Windows 2012 R2

I am trying to install SharePoint on Virtualbox for a testing area.  I have done this before successfully but I am having what appears to be a common problem (a google search provides hundreds of solutions).  The problem is getting the AppFabric installed as a prerequisite.  The prerequireinstaller fails with an error or states that the AppFabric step was skipped.

I have always good luck with EE for solving problems, so let me know what you have found to overcome this problem.  Let me know if you need more details

How do I setup a retention policy in SharePoint online that will indefinitely prevent files from being deleted on specific folders?
SharePoint Lists,  MS Access and the 5000 record limit.

So I am very familiar with the 5000 list limit with SharePoint.   And my SP admin will not increase that threshold.  I understand because of the performance.
But here is the issue I am facing and it's odd.

So I have two list in SharePoint.  tbl_Parent_Inventory and tbl_Child_Inventory.  They were created in Access first, with a one to many relationship from the Parent to Child.  Then upsized to SP.  I reached the 5000 limit with the parent table and it would not allow changes in the child inventory.  Which has not reached the 5000 limit.

I also have one other list, tblAuditTrail.  This list holds all the actions that have been performed on all the forms.  There is 24,000 records there.  I have no issue viewing these records in Access.  All 24,000 show up.  I can make changes to them and I can add more.  I can see all the records in the other two tables.  But I can not make changes.

So my thinking is the relationship between the two tables is the issue.  But I am not sure.  Has anyone else encountered this before and if so how did you overcome it.
SharePoint 2016 Farm 2 Nodes
Windows 2016 Data Center

I am trying to access Central Administration

Takes a very long time to present this error:

Server Error in '/' Application.

Recently I had to rebuild my SQL Servers

All Databases are online now

The SharePoint User Code Host service stops every now and then also.

All Application pools are started in IIS

Added the accounts back in SQL

This happens on both Node 1 and Node 2.

Is a reinstall needed?

Do not know what else to look for.
I have a web part in my SharePoint 2010 site that pulls from a link list and puts all of my links into a dropdown list.  When an item in this list is selected, the users goes to whatever link it points to.

We are migrating to SharePoint Online and I no longer have this functionality.  I see several articles online about how to create them in "previous" versions of SharePoint, but cannot locate any web part or instructions on how to do this in SharePoint Online (O365).

Any ideas?  Open to purchasing a web part, or figuring it out myself with code.

I've got the PeoplePicker from to work.
Now I'd like to add other controls like labels, textboxes and drop downs to populate the other fields in my Sharepoint list.
How do I do this?
Below is my render method which includes a label, textbox and default button.  I don't know how to update the Sharepoint lists with what is in the textbox when I press the default button?  The People Picker works.

public render(): React.ReactElement<IPnPPeoplePickerProps>
    const txtFirstName = getId('anInput');
    return (
      <div className={ styles.pnPPeoplePicker }>
        <div className={ styles.container }>

SharePoint 2013 On-Premise

We have a user showing all content on one one side (in a column) of the page when opening a Team Site.  We are looking for a way to reset the page.    The links on the page continue to work but the page is not formatted correctly.

We have tried 3 different browsers, clearing the cache but this formatting issue continues.  This only happens for this user, all other 400 users see the page correctly.

I have put the zip file from into a webpart (after unzipping it). I'm trying to update my Sharepoint list.

With the PersonName field (Set as Person or Group in Sharepoint online) commented out it works. However when the PersonName field is not commented out it fails with this message. I followed the import instructions, but was wondering if my node modules directory is incorrect or if there is a difference between the Sharepoint used and my version of sharepoint online.

 private addSelectedUsers(): void {
  Title: getGUID(),
  //With these lines commented out it works. I changed the field name from User to PersonName when
  //I created the column.
  PersonName: {
      results: this.state.addUsers
   }).then(i => {
