A miscellany is defined as a "collection of various pieces of writing by different authors", but it has come to mean something "Of items gathered or considered together of various types or from different sources" or "a collection or group composed of members or elements of different kinds". The word "miscellaneous" comes from the Latin word "miscere", meaning "to mix." You might have heard the expression "a mixed bag," which applies when you don't quite know what you're going to get. More commonly, a miscellaneous group is made up of an odd group of things that don't fit anywhere else.

I think my motherboard failed. It just shut off and then it smelled bad as melted plastics. I thought is from the power supply connector, the yellow female jack in the back of the laptop, so I took it apart, dissembling totally, piece by piece.
I cleaned up everything, especially the fan full of dust, using air pressure jets and also dedicated spray for electronic components, PCB.
The components on the motherboard are covered with a black sheet of plastic/vinyl-like.
After cleaning I spotted 2 capacitors carbonized – most probably the cause of the smell and failure.
They are SMD ceramic capacitors, seem size 1206, most probably MLCC.
I have the tools to remove and replace them, but I do not know their value.
Can someone help with the values of these capacitors?
I have in mind persons that either had similar experience and repaired motherboards before, maybe particular for Lenovo T410s – by chance, or if you can find somewhere the PCB sketch with the bill of materials and or/schematic.
What cause that failure? Is it the only one?
I do not know, but I would like to try to replaces those 2 capacitors. On opposite side of the PCB everything is clean, the components are untouched by the temperature.
I presume the failure comes from the small WiFi board inserted in the nearby connector. Maybe has to be replaced with another one. What I remember is that I let for few days the laptop set with power on, even when the lid was closed, and was not always on the table, but also …

I am sitting here spinning my wheels trying to set up a website that does not request the work of more than one.  Well, I am interested in setting up an affiliate, CPA or income generating website that makes passive income. I have signed up for Clickbank, MaxBounty and Other Affiliates trying to figure out a way to get some passive income. I am failing. Can someone help me with an idea that allows a complete beginner to make money online with the work of just one?  Any ideas will do! Thank you.

Hello and Good Morning Everyone,

I recently purchased an Amazon Echo (2nd generation) and wish to know how to get it to play back music.  From what little I gather, an online membership to a music store is required.  That said, I am hoping to find one which provides a 30 day free trial with subsequent months being a low flat rate membership fee with unlimited playback of music.  The Amazon Echo (2nd generation) is currently connected to our WiFi and working great.

In closing, I greatly appreciate any suggestions to online music stores which are compatible with the Amazon Echo along with any step by step guides for setting this up with the music store.  I look forward to reviewing everyone's feedback.

           Thanks again.

Do usb storage devices have any sort of internal clock on the device itself, or do the date modified/accessed/created dates shown on files stored on the device get populated by the PC's they have been plugged into?

My customer wants a device to provide a rolling (loop) video feed from the internet to 3-4 big screen TV's.  He may want to send different feeds to each or send one feed to all.  Obviously, we can buy firesticks or PC's for a one to one setup but we are looking for a simpler solution that will be easy to maintain.  i.e. not have to login every morning and choose the feed

Getting some opinions on The Guardian newspaper. theguardian.com
I noticed its not that popular in West Coast/California.  Is it a popular source of information on East Coast?
Just want to see opinions.  Maybe its more popular on East Coast because its closer to the UK.
Thanks.

I have an APC SMT1500RM2U battery backup at my house that will intermittently beep for one minute every 12 hours.

I have checked the health of this Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS) and know what the problem is but won't be able to purchase replacement batteries for a little bit.

In the meantime is there any way I can disable or turn off this UPS's beeping sound so that it will stop waking me up in the middle of the night?

What are the best mounts for mounting an iPhone X to my car's dashboard so that I can follow my iPhone X's GPS navigation?

This must be a dashboard mount that I can easily move between cars since I drive several different cars. I also want it to be easy to detach and reattach my iPhone X to such a mount since I take my iPhone X with me wherever I go. I am looking for a mount that I can put on top of my dashboard and not one that attaches to the air vents, etc.

Let me know what the best mounts are that I can buy online or through Amazon.

Are there any adapters I can purchase that will allow me to connect the front USB connector plug on a "CORSAIR VENGEANCE C70 Mid-Tower Case - Black" computer case to an Intel S2600cp server board?

The plug for connecting the two front USB connectors on this case is different than the connector on the Intel S2600cp server board.

I have attaches pictures below of both the plug for this case as well as the connector on the server board where the front USB connectors should plugin. I have also attached the S2600cp server board manual and the S2600cp server board tech specs guide.

The URL from where I purchased the case from is here.

Please let me know if there are any adapters or converters I can buy that will allow me to connect these two front USB connector cable to this server board.

Does anyone know what's the regular humidity should be in the server room?  Server room in North California it goes up to 70-75%.  I had to bump it up otherwise getting slammed with alerts.

Does it have to do anything with temperature.  Temps keeps normal 68F.  Would it help with humidity if I lower the temperature?

Hi

I'd appreciate some advice on my home buying situation and options.

I already own a home in Bethany Beach Delaware, that I use for VRBO, and do pretty okay.

If I'd like to get a $1100,000 loan from Chase, what should I consider for a top shelf home?
With 600,000 down, At 4%, that makes the monthly $3,050 for the $500,000 interest portion, which I can totally handle for 30 years.
What should I know about getting $600,000 for the principal options? Must I just wait until I accumulate that? Ask Luca Brasi for some assistance?

Thanks

Hello and Good Afternoon Everyone,

I will be purchasing an Amazon Echo (2nd generation) soon which brings me to this upcoming question.    Is there any potential of the Amazon Echo (2nd generation) having a negative impact upon my wireless and internet performance?  If so, what can I expect the drawbacks to be?

          Thank you
