Mobile web development, also known as responsive web design, is an approach to web design aimed at crafting sites to provide an optimal viewing and interaction experience—easy reading and navigation with a minimum of resizing, panning, and scrolling—across a wide range of devices (from desktop computer monitors to mobile phones). A site designed with RWD adapts the layout to the viewing environment by using fluid, proportion-based grids, flexible images, and CSS3 media queries.

Can you tell me the code adjustments (both html and css) to get this: (top row of buttons and blue box)
Note that it's an online store service so sometimes you have to hard-code text-align:center

1. Looking good on all devices
2. With the circles centered at all browser widths (right now they go to the left)
3. blue background on all devices and browser widths
4. anything else that needs adjustment.

Prohibit use of Internet Connection Sharing on your DNS domain network and Don't Allow hosted networks have been enabled through GPO and I want to make sure that the GPOs are working fine.

When the GPO is applied, on Windows 10 Mobile Hotspot is disabled and on either on Windows 8.1 or 10, when the user goes in CMD with administrator privileges to create a hosted network the below occurs:

You must run this command from command prompt with administrator privilege
Attempts to start any hosted network results in the below:

The group or resource is not in the correct state to perform the requested operation.
I want to make sure that this is expected behavior as a result of the GPO. Although it is prohibiting users from creating hosted networks, I am looking for proof that these errors are actually the result of the GPO being applied. Tried looking into Event viewer but cannot find relevant events.

Any heads up on if these are actually valid errors as a result of the GPO?

Thanks in advance

I am looking for an app that can tell me how to get from A to B from my car but also base this on traffic etc.

I know there is Apple Maps, Google maps and so on but does this take into traffic and roadworks?
HI all,

This is more of a hobby based question.

I want to get friends, family & work colleagues to take part in recording our training activities in Miles / Km's as a way to encourage fitness in the new year with a bit of a leaderboard for the competitive ones.

Not all of them are on the same mobile app or social media platforms so I'm looking for someone to recommend a basic website which we can log into and record our activity, nothing more than an online excel spreadsheet really.

Any recommendations will be appreciated.
I have tried on 3 machines (Win 7) and 3 mobiles (Android) but only one combination shows up as COM3 in Hyperterminal.
My purpose is to send SMS via Serial port. I can send successfully from this one combination.
I want the others to work too. All mobiles connect to the machine and I can access the Internal and External drives.

By COM3 I mean COM1,2,3,4....
Wonder how many IT engineers using MS Surface as a primary device instead of a traditional laptop.  Any pros/cons?
Easy to connect to dual screen displays via the docking stations, etc.  Network port throughput?  Memory, CPU?

Any suggestions input appreciated.
User has a Macbook Pro that will only attach to a single access point in the building and will not roam from one access point to another.  There are 1700 devices that work just fine and are very mobile.  This device drops the connection and shows that WIFI is on but not connected.  Attempts to connect pops up the connection and asks for a password but will not accept it with an error invalid password.  I have tested it as well in other buildings which all use the same wireless access SSID and pw.  It will connect to the first access point it finds in the building but will not roam to another.

I updated the OS to High Sierra to see if that would make a difference but the results have been the same.
Dear Experts, is there a way to delete completely personal information (personal blog, mobile number, address, ...) on the Internet?

eg: I dont want people see my information when they "googling" my phone number?

Please suggest.
I use Delphi and want to send SMS via the COM Ports + Mobile phone combination.
I am using the AT+ commands but I get SMS which includes the commands. I want only the message to come.

I need to display a module on mobile only.  I put it on the desktop in the top right position and set the module class suffix as [space]hidden-desktop.  It does show on the mobile, but still shows on the desktop.  Is there another setting to make, so it won't show on the desktop?  Thanks.
Hello, can you please tell me if I am using Outlook with my home WIFI versus mobile data outside the home, would my IP address change?
Quick it possible to connect the Outlook mobile app to an Exchange 2016 ActiveSync On Prem environment (no office 365 in place)?
Hi Friends.
I need some advice, but please do if you have any experience.
I need to install Driver E-Log on 10 tablets and handle it to my company drivers.
My boss request is to lock any other apps, preventing drivers to use internet
I went to Google PlayStore and I've found a lot of apps and I've tested 10
The problem is that any of this apps not locking itself (except Perfect Applock) so anyone can go to settings, or if settings are locked too, they can put finger on this applock app and uninstall will shows up. So bottom line anyone can uninstall app, so they can go to internet finally.

Perfect Applock has option to self lock to prevent shot down but this setting can be disable in Settings and settings is not protected, so bottom line useless.

So maybe someone of you using some AppLock app on Android and can suggest me one, that is going to lock apps I select and is going to lock itself and without password no one will be able to uninstall it.

Thank You in Advance.
I am using bootstrap on my site and I generally like it a lot but I would like to make some of the objects a little smaller.  Lists, form objects, nav, tables, etc.

My question is two-fold:
1) Is there a way to do that "across the board" by adjusting a css file associated with my bootstrap?

2) How much can I do with css on an item-by-item basis without "ruining" the mobile friendliness that bootstrap brings.  For instance, if I use class="img-responsive" for an image and then apply style="width:200px;" will that style make the image not adjust it's size based on whether it is on a mobile device or a desktop?

Thank you!
How to make mobile offline data synchronize to online when connected to network
We all understand the "Addiction" to check our emails out of hours.

I have a client who has staff that are spending too much time checking emails to the point it is becoming a health and safety issue.  The staff are in high stress roles and need to disconnect and HR are concerned that the employees are adversely affecting their own health.  Exchange provides a myriad of ways to enable an employee to be always connected but I havent seen anything that helps an org control that in some way.

Do any versions of exchange (2010, 2013,2016) have a way for me to apply the following "Policy"

At 5:30pm Sync will cease until 7:30am for a group of mobile devices or users (or all mobile devices or users).

  •    Could it be as simple as disabling a service via Task Scheduler
  •    Is there a GP that can be engaged to control this
  •    Is there that much granularity in Exchange policies to do this (I cant find any)
Looking into OneDrive for Business, for a client with a mobile workforce. I know that, with some cloud-based storage solutions, you can set it up such that when you disable or delete the account, the next time the agent on a client machine tries to sync with the cloud service, it deletes all the locally synced files from that client machine.

I don't know if there is such a capability with OneDrive for Business, and I can't seem to find anything online that even discusses the issue.

Does anyone know, and if so, how?
one of our corporate applications have recently issued a windows/android app for smartphones, to give the users an alternative to using their web app. the suppliers are a relatively small company. Some of the end user smartphone devices are currently not encrypted, but the suppliers say this is not a show stopper as security is 'contained' within the app itself. The login to the app is single factor authentication, username/password. how practical is it that security for an app would be 'contained' within itself, so if someone lost the smartphone with the app itself there would be no data specific to the app accessible on the devices storage. And perhaps more relevant what type of testing would you suggest to see what data specific to the app is stored and retrievable on the phone itself? or what types of security sensitive data do/could apps leave on the phones themselves and what could be retrieved if the device was lost/stolen?
I am using html5lightbox on a website.  It works fine when the lightbox pops up on a laptop or desktop but a mobile device, the lightbox opens but it won't scroll.

If you go here: https://www.coherent (DOT) com/company/press_release/press-releases and scroll down half way and click on a few of the Press Releases, you will see them open on your mobile device but they won't scroll. It works on an emulator but not on an actual device.

Any suggestions?
Is there any good examples to explain how should we build the data pulling section in mobile app development? I heard about the word asynchronous often but what is it actually?

I need something that explain the concept rather than pure programming examples (but good to know if it's also provided)

Any clues?

Thank you.
Installing the fortinet vpn on iPhone/pad gave me the following messages:

All activities? If we answer “no” would it make the apps unusable? Is this a concerned if we use the device for other sensitive communication like banking and remote access to other sites?
How to copy all contacts (with profile photo) from iCloud to Google?
I know I can download all contacts from iCloud by exporting a vCard file. However, it does not include the contact's profile photo.
I am attempting to put together a policy for mobile devices at my work.  This would include:

  • Laptops (Windows/Apple)
  • Apple - Ipads
  • Android Tablets

Phones, I can have the users login to the guest wifi for their cell phones but our tablets and such will need to be connected to out corporate wifi network.  It seems that in the near future different mobile devices will integrated with the corporate productivity and we will need it in order to stay competitive.

Question1:  Where are some legitimate anti-virus programs for mobile devices?

Question2:  Are these mobile anti-virus program necessary or not yet?
      a.  I would rather be proactive instead of reactive.

Question3:  What do you think about separating the work applications from the personal applications on a mobile device?
     b.  Its an interesting concept of putting your work related apps in a container that does not allow for cross contamination from other applications on that mobile device.

I wonder what other businesses are doing and what may be recommended?
I have a situation where someone does not want even an admin to be able to remotely wipe data from a non-company mobile phone. Is there a way in Exchange 2013 to be able to turn this remote admin feature off?

Thank you for any insight!
Customer has a LAN with a few PCs and some tabs/phones that connect to Internet via their LAN (partly wireless). Internet access is through a 4G mobile modem (other options not available). This has worked well for nearly a year.

Lately they have experienced a lot more data traffic. Since they pay per GB to the mobile operator they try to find what is causing the increased data usage. I have checked the wireless LAN, but can't see anything wrong. Also changed the encryption key.

Question is - is there a way to easily monitor the traffic from the LAN to the 4G network. A packet sniffer might do the job, but results are quite difficult to analyze. Is there an easier way? Thinking of monitoring each LAN IP and traffic to/from the 4G router.
