Mobile web development, also known as responsive web design, is an approach to web design aimed at crafting sites to provide an optimal viewing and interaction experience—easy reading and navigation with a minimum of resizing, panning, and scrolling—across a wide range of devices (from desktop computer monitors to mobile phones). A site designed with RWD adapts the layout to the viewing environment by using fluid, proportion-based grids, flexible images, and CSS3 media queries.

Dear Experts,
Recently, one of my clients requested I look into finding him a good combination of rugged tablet and mobile printer for his workers to use on the road. This is his description:
"They need to connect via cellular, not just wifi.
Print load is small – perhaps 6-15 prints a day – 1 or 2 pages per print… but need to withstand dirt and mild abuse.
Tablet will access internet and use web for application they will be using.
That website may integrate with google maps, and they may use it for navigation, and they may use email app on tablet"

My past experience with rugged tablet is only with Fujitsu, which I do not see anymore, and I want to make sure that I select a combination that will fulfill their needs without being too difficult to connect to Internet, Cellular, etc.  I do see some portable printers with battery, such as
Canon Pixma iP110 or HP OfficeJet 200 Mobile Printer, but I do not have any experience using them.
If you could share some working sample combinations, I would greatly appreciate it.

Automating Your MSP Business

The road to profitability.
Delivering superior services is key to ensuring customer satisfaction and the consequent long-term relationships that enable MSPs to lock in predictable, recurring revenue. What's the best way to deliver superior service? One word: automation.

Our Lync 2013 Server hosts to sip domains.  a.com and b.com

I have an employee who can log in to b.com fine on his computer but not on his mobile device.
Users in both a.com and b.com can log in on both computers and mobile devices, myself included.
I attempted to log in as the problem user on my iPhone and was unable.

The troublesome user account's sip domain is username@b.com.
Not sure what is going on.  I tried removing then adding the AD account from the Lync solution via the control panel.
I've compared AD and Lync 2013 account information with a b.com user that CAN log in on a mobile device and they are configured the same way.

I'm at a loss.

Hey folks. Web design and css is not my day job, more of a side hobby. That said I've been working iteratively on my site for a while now, and have worked myself into a corner when trying to make the site mobile friendly.

Overall I've had pretty good luck taking a two-column dynamic layout I tracked down a few years back and adapting it to mobile. I achieved the dynamic sizing for web with some nested divs that by necessity have a greater width than the window and need to be hidden, though.

On mobile, this only works if I assign overflow-x:hidden; to html, body. If I follow proper procedure and assign it, or the website scrolling setting, to document.body instead (or any other combination therein), the smooth scrolling is broken. I like the smooth scrolling, so even though it cost me the function of tapping the time bar to move to the top of the page, I went with it. It worked, right?

I accepted this compromise until I started to go further and taking my sidebar menus and try to make them fixed position nav menus for mobile. Even that worked fine until I created a logobar that would pop in upon scrolling away from the top of the page. The same compromise that broke "tap to top" has broken any JQuery scrollTop functions I tried to include, on mobile, using a simple enough technique I found here.

Now I have the choice, make any change at all to this css and lose smooth scrolling and gain my logobar and tap to top: as seen in test page 1

I'm trying to understand internals of mobile networks (GSM, 3GPP) and routing calls between them.

When new Mobile Network Operator (MNO) starts its operation, how does other mobile (and fixed) networks all over the world know, how should they route calls to this new network?

Where can I find more information about this topic?

I am a single technician managing 7 stores.
I would like to go more mobile via cell phone iPhone.

I'm looking for something that I can create my own forums and have reminders along with documents.

I'm leaning towards making my own in access however if something is better I don't want to recreate the wheel.

In addition since it's just me I don't want it to be costly since it's an employment job. They have there own software however I want to Crete my own flow and ways of doing things we are allowed to do.

Reaching out of other pros see what you use!

My OS is win 10 prof 64 bit, and I installed the latest version of iTunes but my mobile phone still did not show up on iTunes.  my mobile is a LG MS323 phone.   I even bought a new usb cable from bestbuy.  During my research I found that I had to install the version 12.1 of iTunes, so I tried to uninstall the  latest version first thru Revo Uninstaller and when that failed thru the Control Panel.  But it looks like there are traces of the latest iTunes left as when I installed the version 12.1 the attached file show the error I got.
How do I do a clean uninstall of all traces of iTunes, or how do I fix this problem.  Thank  u.

If you keep the mobile phones safe in your pocket or purse, it's still at risk for picking up a virus or leaking data to thieves. Hackers don't need physical access to your phone to steal your personal information or infect the device with malware. They infiltrate your phone with innocent-looking apps or link to it via unsecured Wi-Fi networks. A Technology blogging site (http://www.mobileblog24.com/ ) talking about this problem. Before some days I take my new phone from online shopping site (https://www.buymobile.com.bd/). Some informative site (http://www.bbc.co.uk/ ) also provide disadvantage of hacking. Now I want to know how can protect my mobile phone from being hacked?

We have an Exchange 2013 setup ussing self signed certificates, everything is setup as pretty much bog standard with the exception of mailbox sizes being allowed more than default.

OWA and Mobile access works and 90% of our IPhones work, we have a few that don't.

On the majority of our Iphones when we add the exchange account it comes up with image 1 - Image 1 has 3 buttons and allows us to press details and trust the certificate - once we press details and trust it works.

Image 1: click details and accept
Image 2 shows what a few of our devices do, the continue button is missing and the details button just shows us the certificate with no option to trust it, All of our devices are running the latest ios 10.3.2 and the ones that haven't worked have even had factory resets to see if it resolves the issue.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Is there a way to tell if a mobile page was served dynamically or is using Responsive Design? Usually the mobile version is at m. but you can force the requested page to show up in the address bar, so that's no help.

Thanks.

It hangs at a black screen (still on, as it glows), with no error messages of any kind. The only way to power it down is to hold down the power button.

Hello,

I have Checkpoint Firewall, trying to route traffic for a remote user to the office then to another subnet in a different location to access RDP. Static routing is on the FW to this subnet, a policy is also set for that user to access that network and the subnet is in the Encryption domain.
In the office the access is accessible over MPLS. Can the traffic be routed to the FW over the Internet and forwarded over the MPLS link.

Thanks in Advance

How to test DASH file in Samsung mobile OR LG mobile check by default without using any 3rd party app or browser.

We will be testing only to see if DASH is in the firmware. (Yes or no answer)
They do not want to have DASH be accessed using a browser or any 3rd party app.
This only includes android testing.
Depending on how much it cost depends on how many phones they can test.
They would like to test a high end and a low end phone for each of the top 10 phone providers, i.e. Samsung, LG.
They currently use Version 3.3 DASH.

Possible Information Needed:
What phones would be best to test?
How long would it take to see if DASH is there

Ok guys, been fighting this for a couple days now and throwing my hands up and asking for help. First round with 2016, 5th round with 2013. Never had this issue with 2013 so I'm guessing something has changed or I'm just losing my mind. Phones come up with "Cannot open server connection due to security issue." Everything else is working, autodiscover, mail, owa, ecp.... etc.... I just can't get the phones to connect. I've tried my best and admit defeat, but my client needs access as fast as possible.

I would like to reserve a portion of my website to host interactive panoramic photos that move with the mouse on the PC and on the mobile while turning slowly the mobile. Facebook made it easy. Once the panoramic photo is uploaded then it's automatically converted and uploaded to become interactive. I have also found a site which suggests various jquery options: https://www.sitepoint.com/10-jquery-panorama-image-display-plugins/

However these require programming skills that I do not possess.

Can anyone suggest options that would make my life easy to achieve my aim?
FYI my site is developed with WordPress.

Thanks for any support.
