I have a user trying to connect Power BI Mobile to an Excel and PBIX file in On Premise OneDrive (i.e. our internal SharePoint 2016 farm).

Any credentials he enters are rejected, trying every format with domain, forward slash, backslash etc.

My suspicion is that Azure AD is expected in the mix for authentication. Is that correct or are we missing something else?

I have a situation where someone does not want even an admin to be able to remotely wipe data from a non-company mobile phone. Is there a way in Exchange 2013 to be able to turn this remote admin feature off?

Customer has a LAN with a few PCs and some tabs/phones that connect to Internet via their LAN (partly wireless). Internet access is through a 4G mobile modem (other options not available). This has worked well for nearly a year.

Lately they have experienced a lot more data traffic. Since they pay per GB to the mobile operator they try to find what is causing the increased data usage. I have checked the wireless LAN, but can't see anything wrong. Also changed the encryption key.

Question is - is there a way to easily monitor the traffic from the LAN to the 4G network. A packet sniffer might do the job, but results are quite difficult to analyze. Is there an easier way? Thinking of monitoring each LAN IP and traffic to/from the 4G router.

I have taken over development of a mobile app using Xamarin.Forms for both Android and iOS. There is a grid within a scrollview. The contents of the grid goes off screen so it needs to scroll for the user. However, the contents are scrolling over the rest of the page. I'll post some code and some screen shots. Let me know if you need anything else. This ONLY happens on Android. It displays just fine on iOS

A question I'm sure will lead to some spirited answers... what forum software:

1) do you like?
2) do you tend to recommend?
3) has robust security features (including anonymous posting for registered users)?
4) has excellent support for mobile, or even ability to have a custom app with push notifications?


I like Discourse. The VBulletin 5.0 Connect Mobile Bundle caught my attention as well, mostly for the "mobile app features", but I'm not so sure about their product.
For style points: cost. I've seen "free" (open source vs "I host it + I'm responsible") versus some cloud-based offerings ranging from $300 per month to the thousands. Obviously, I don't need to pay "thousands" per month for a forum of 3,000 people.

But I would like some user and admin feedback about Discourse before going ahead with the software.

The background: I'm donating my time (and some funds) to starting up a website for a group. The website itself is the easy part. The crown jewel of the website will be the forum. The group is a 3,000+ network of healthcare professionals that are loosely organized in a Facebook group.

The forum will be PRIVATE, meaning that except for a few, specific conversation threads, not available to the general public. The users have to register by using a specific OAuth2.0 API for validation AND an additional form with details (which will be used to start specific threads, example: "female only").

Any thoughts or recommendations?

Which one should I choose? The first one seems a good option.

I received advice here at EE earlier that I should always use a travel router when using public wifi to get better protection. However, I'm not sure about the definition of travel router: is it just a wireless router or is it something special that is called travel router? The shopkeeper didn't know anything about the term travel router, only wireless router.

Most often when I use public wifi at hotels it's wifi and not wired, although it happens there is wired also.

My company is developing a mobile App, and it is advised to block Rooted machine from using it.
The Rooted detection mechanism works, but has false positives on non-Rooted Miui Xiaomi mobiles, because they seems to have some Root-bundled function even it is new.

Is there any way to distinguish a Rooted and non-Rooted Xiaomi? to check the bootloader lock or unlock status? Grateful if any can share me some source code for the check.

we faced a problem with calendar since it is stopped to sync with mobile (what ever its type is)
this was happen after sharing the calendar with another user
we use outlook 2013 on this operation and exchange server 2007

any suggestions to make it re sync again?

I have a user who had an issue where their cell phone got randomly wiped. They are connected to our Exchange 2010 email server. I noticed that the confirmation message was coming from our servers. I can't seem to figure out why he got a remote wipe. I don't see anything in the logs. indicating we wiped his device. I ran the command below on multiple servers and I only got 1 hit for a reset that occurred months ago and not even to the same user.

Hi All,

One of a user reported issue, that user is unable to get connect the Mailboxes using with Mobile devices. Getting error message " Cannot get Mail: The connection to the server failed".

Is that anything else we can do and make changes in Active directory or Exchange mailboxes?
I have verified in the EAC and enabled the active sync option in the Exchange 2016. Please suggest me on this.

I was wondering if someone knows a script or could help get me started with a script (jquery, jquery mobile, javascript, CSS or combination) that simulate what the attachment shows. Basically, if they select an item to order it should appear in one window and the items to select from should be in the other window and some sort of animation should indicate that is happening. It is a phone interface but the click event should be able to make it useful from a regular web window. Thank  you.

I have a user on a Exchange 2013 mailbox who has never been able to send or receive email on a mobile device. Our organization uses ActiveSync for this. Other users on the same database can get and send mail, including me. I ran a Get-Mailbox | fl on his mailbox, mine, and another user who can get emails on mobile devices.. This problem exists on both iOS and Android devices. When I compared the settings, the only difference besides identifiers was that the user who cannot connect has a half-page-long value in the UserCertificate field. This is obviously the data for the certificate itself. How do I clear this / remove the certificate, and how do I repair access to this mailbox, assuming removing the certificate breaks that? I've googled, but all I get are results that have to do with server certificates and recommendations on how to find help implementing user certifices, but nothing actionable. I appreciate your help!

Internally Outlook gets the Exchange settings without issue via AutoDiscover. However, if I input the Exchange information by just typing in email address and password, it prompts me to enter the server name, Domain, username, and password.

How do I configure Exchange to just take care of that and just give green checkmarks as Office365 did. I do not wish for the users to have to enter all this information.
