Hi,

Please tell me howto convert an audio cd to mp3.
Tried VLC but it puts the audiocd in 1 MP4 instead of several MP3's.

FreeMP3 ripper convertor doesn't recognize the cd (worked fine before). Have bought 'iSkysoft media convertord deluxe" but it seems it only supports video conversion not MP3.

Please advise.

[Webinar] Cloud and Mobile-First Strategy

Maybe you’ve fully adopted the cloud since the beginning. Or maybe you started with on-prem resources but are pursuing a “cloud and mobile first” strategy. Getting to that end state has its challenges. Discover how to build out a 100% cloud and mobile IT strategy in this webinar.

I have a video conference in a few hours with someone on an app called "whats up". I cant find it on the apple store. Maybe its misspelled.

What is the correct app name?

Is there any software application that will route audio output back to the microphone input?  Got some audio files that can only be added via microphone.

Thanks!

Using firefox I've gone to the site http://video.foxbusiness.com/v/5633634268001/?playlist_id=933116635001#sp=show-clips and tried to play any clip, but I get nothing. If I run it in IE it works. What play does this site want? Can it be installed in Firefox?

Hello,

In Windows 10, is there a way to show a full-screen slideshow and not see your desktop icons and open windows, etc?

This was doable (on-demand) in past versions of Windows by setting the screensaver to display a slideshow then clicking to run the screensaver. However, it appears that Windows 10 does not have a screensaver. Is that correct?

I did find a background setting for playing a slideshow but the images are just that, in the background, so the taskbar and desktop icons and any open windows are still visible.

PowerPoint shows slideshows (of slides that have inserted images) but I'm looking for a way to simply point to a folder and then launch a slideshow displaying the images in that folder (either in order or shuffled).

By the way, I also noticed that the background slideshow gives you a minimum of only 1 minute to change images. It would be nice to have a change option measured in seconds and also a way to go back or forward through the slides.

I'm sure there are a lot of apps out there which will do this but my question is really to find out if Windows 10 has the ability.

Thanks

I have numerous extension tfs files which where downloaded from an Eyemax 950H DVR system. The video files can not be opened using any normal viewers and I have spoke with Eyemax with very little help. All viewers listed on their download site do not work. The files can not be recreated as they have been over written and the videos are of a crime taking place. I'm the private investigator assigned to the case.

The file appears like this  0000001.tfs

Any help would be appreacired

I'm trying to convert a .MKV file into a .DIVX format because the device I'm using requires a .DIVX container. I am using the DivX Plus Converter (free version) and when I convert it the sound is out of sync. I think this is because the .MKV file is 25.253 FPS and the converted .DIVX is 29 FPS. When I convert a 29 FPS .MKV to a 29 FPS .DIVX the video works fine. Is there way to convert a 25 fps .mkv to a 29 fps .divx without having the sound out of sync?
Thanks

We currently have a student led live feed that runs in the morning and then at the close of school.  We are using a sony camcorder on a tripod that takes the input from a mic that the kids use and then a logitech webcam that captures the video.  We send these to a laptop running VNC and stream the production to the classrooms via vnc over the LAN.  I know this is a crappy setup, but it works.  We are looking for something more reliable and user friendly.  Possibly even having it streamed over the internet so parents can watch.  Does anyone have any experience or suggestions to accomplish something like this?

How can I play MP3 files one after another on a Samsung Galaxy S8 phone?

I have a seminar I need to listen to that is contained within 60 10 minute MP3 files.

Currently I play on of the 10 minute files and then I have to select the next file on my phone to play the next 10 minute session.

What is the process to select all files in the folder to play one after another so I won't have to manually select which files to play next?

Years ago, Moodlogic was the best way to organize mp3 files. It compared the mp3 to the gracenotes db and was incredibly accurate. It has since been taken down and I have tried several apps that all do a poor job. I am looking for the best current app.

Hello.

I need a software that will stream an activity on server and user will be able to watch this stream on some webpages (in domain network).

ScreenStream does its job but the stream quality is too bad.

It should be a software suitable for Windows Server OS.

Thank you for any help.

I am using Debian 7.11 on this particular system. I have open media vault installed on it, but have lost the password. The system asks me for the open media vault root password every now and then, especially when performing tasks in the GUI of the Debian desktop, like rebooting the system or mounting a disk. I usually work around the issue by using the command prompt, where I have a sudo user and the root password of the Debian system.

So how do I recover or reset the root password of the open media vault installation?

Hello, I am looking for some type of software that would be able to help me sort video files I have saved on my computer. Most of the video files were ones that I saved from youtube or from my digital camera, but I have literally thousands of movie files that I have accumulated over the past few years. I want to delete probably 75% of the movie files, but I have to go through them one by one.

For example I have to double click a single video file, wait for VLC player to load, then after a few seconds the video plays. I use the mouse to quickly fast forward and scan through the video to determine if it is a keeper or not. If it’s a keeper I have to close out VLC player and drag and drop the file into a “videos to save” folder. If I determine I no longer need it I have to close out VLC player and send that media file to the recycle bin.

I have to do that task over and over for each video and I have about 7000 total files. Also VLC media player has to be closed out each time I  move or delete a video file, because if the file as active it will not let you change the destination of the file.

It would go much faster if I could load the files into VLC play list, and after I scan through the video to determine if I want to save it or not, if a program let me give that video a rating such as  5 stars (meaning it’s a keep file) or rate it one star (meaning that one can be deleted). Then once I rate it I could just hit the “load next file” button for VLC player and I can …

Hello and Good Morning Everyone,

As an extension to my previously closed questions regarding Playstation 4 consoles, I am wondering if they support playback of DVD and Bluray media or disk.  I will be purchasing a PS4 this month and wish to harness all of it features and potential.

           Thank you

I'm trying to stream content using Livestreamer from YouTube to VLC. However, the streaming starts but the video is frozen. I notice no audio is present as well. Any ideas what It could be? I tried the smallest resolution 144p and I get the same results as if I try at 1080p.

I have a couple MP4 videos that I need to merge together into one file and upload to YouTube.

When I try to process the videos using any number of software apps, my PC just shutdown about half way through processing.   I have used Adobe Premiere Pro, Pinnacle Studios and three different small conversion tools.   In every case the computer just crashes.

I get these videos once a week to process and the same thing happens each time; so it's not just one set of videos, it is all the ones, at least all the videos that come from this camera.   The videos are in MP4 format.

Any help on what this may be and how to start looking into it would be appreciated!

I hear that waiting until the URL for a meeting arrives for first set up WebEx can be time consuming. So, is there a way to do this initialization beforehand?

Thanks.

When viewing a mpg or mp4 video from our cloud storage area we  have to wait until the entire 16gb file is download to start viewing.  Is there a way to make it similar to streaming? (that is to view as it is being downloaded)

Some time back we download an apps that you  would place the YouTube link and it would display the video in the apps, no web browser needed.   We haven't found the apps but wanted to know if there is an apps that can display a YouTube link and also stay on top of all open apps (so iy can be displaying continuously with no interruption of apps being opened and closed).

Hello,

What is the best/simplest way to create a customized tracklist to display when playing a CD?

My mother is a (young) 83 year-old who spends quite a bit of time driving in her car each week. She really enjoys listening to recorded talks but has exhausted her supply and is tech-UN-savvy. She's quite comfortable using the CD player in her car however, so I told her I would be happy to create some CDs containing talks from the public domain.

The talks download as MP3 files and we agreed that the simplest navigation scheme for her would be to have the tracklist display as follows:

    |    Track #    |    Speaker Name    |    Date    |    Venue    |    Title    |

I haven't created many CDs in that manner but it seems like downloaded files (or maybe all MP3 files) usually contain data which appears by default in the tracklist. If that is correct, and:

if I've got the data I want to use in five corresponding columns in an Excel spreadsheet, what is the best method or software for:
    1) overwriting the default data and
    2) creating a tracklist from my spreadsheet?

By the way, I've got VLC Media Player installed. Is that a good option?

Thanks
