I have a rotating GIF file. What is a way to stop it from spinning so it will be a still image. Thanks.

I typically use movie maker to combine some mp4 files.  I usually split each of these, removing unnecessary elements, and then attempt to save for upload to youtube.
90% of the time, I get the dreaded out of memory error.

I'm on Win10 with plenty of storage and memory - I think it's just a limitation of the software frankly.
So I'm looking for suggestions on something that I can use to accomplish similar tasks - of course, for free. :^)

Hello,

What is the best way to string multiple images together to create a video file?

I have 300 images which I extracted from a short (10 sec) video using Camtasia (v9). After some simple image editing, I now want to recombine the images to create a modified video. However, I cannot determine how to do that in Camtasia or if it is even possible.

I also came across the following site but do not understand the suggestions nor how to use the suggested software:

How can I combine 30,000 images into a timelapse movie?

I'm hopeful that someone knows of a more straightforward solution.

Thanks

Hi to all of you,
I'm going to attend an online training (Go to meeting) of 4hours a day and I need to record both video and audio on my PC for a later review.
I have a windows 10 I3 core 8GB ram and the screen resolution is 1280X1024
Can you please reccomend me an opensource software for this activity? files should be also compressed by a codec.

Thank you
Carlo

I have a Youtube video and as the audio plays the video portion is actually just a series of photos that depict what is being said.
I need to replace 3 of the still photos with something else. I have a Youtube video maker that works great. I use it to create videos that are only a few seconds long and the video portion is a still photo.
I think this program can be used to string together images but I do not think I'll be able to have the photos I change match the audio that is being played. Any ideas?

when I throw a YAMAHA RX-V379 receiver  into the mix and have it like this

{XBOX 1X}<-------->{YAMAHA RX-V379}<------------>{SAMSUNG MU8000 4K TV} I get static and lines on the screen .

If it is configured without  the {YAMAHA RX-V379} like this

{XBOX 1X}<-------->{SAMSUNG MU8000 4K TV} it works fine with no static and not lines on the screen , it is perfect

so I know it is the YAMAHA RX-V379 but how to test or further analyize this issue I am stuck

What are the best methods for recording content showing within Kodi 17.6 and saving it in a universal video format such as .AVI or .MPEG that can be watched later on a Windows, Mac, or Android device?

I will only be doing this with non copyrighted and non restricted content.

Are there any Kodi plug ins that will do this?

Hi Experts,
I need some advice. We are looking to buy some refurbished notebooks. We will be using these notebooks to run Powerpoint presentations for the events that we do so they will need to be stable and powerful enough to deal with embedded hi-res videos etc. The two options of laptops we have:
Option 1: Proline Professional W540SU Notebook, 14" HD Screen, Core i3-4000M CPU, 4GB DDR3 RAM, 500GB SATA HDD, Intel HD Graphics 4600
Option 2: Dell Latitude E6420, 14", Core i5-2540M CPU,  4GB DDR3 RAM, 500GB SATA HDD, Intel HD Graphics 3000

Which would be the better option for our requirements? I3 with the better graphics or I5 with older HD graphics? 2nd option is about R 600 more which is about $48. I know these are much older generation systems but if they will work fine then that is all we need. I dont want an issue when we want to play 1080p video within our powerpoint presentations or outside of powerpoint. it has to run smooth and no lag

Thanks

Hello

I was wondering if they is a media player that support multi instances which I can open each instance with a different settings.
What I am trying to do is to open for example VLC player over and over but each time with a different audio playback device - but it  always opens it with the last saved settings...Tried some more players and they work the same

Is there a player that support this? or is there a parameter to define maybe via command line to open each instance with a different audio setting?

Thanks

I've been using Plex Media Server to watch my movies stored on a Synology DS1513+ for sometime now. With the technology moving from h.2264 to h.265 (HEVC), I decided to convert all movies to that protocol. Plex supports HEVC but doesn't do much of a job with metadata and posters. The new Apple TV 4 running the Infuse 5 Pro app, however, does an excellent job of both. The problem is how other family members can connect using Apple TV 4/Infuse from their own house like they do with Plex.

Infuse documentation is a little light on connecting outside the local network and I'm wondering if others have found a way to do this? Google tells me to port-forward 445, which I did and connecting using a URL from MY house works perfectly but not when I'm outside the home. Google also tells me most ISPs block port 445 (including Spectrum) which makes me wonder if that's why others can't connect. But then, why can I?  Confusing.

Ideas anyone??

Hi,

I’m looking to either buy or make a very simple screen that can be controlled over the internet.

The screen will serve one simple purpose... show whether an office is VACANT or ENGAGED (i won’t go into the reason we need this :-)

Unfortunately a simple paper flip sign will not suffice.

I’m not even sure what to search for on the internet. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have a gas fire place controlled by a light switch. If I replaced the switch with a smart light switch would Alexa be able to control the fireplace?

Has anyone tried this and what kind of smart switch would you recommend?

Is it safe to use a Sharpie Fine Point marker to write on blank CD, DVD, Blu-ray? Forever; I've been using a regular Sharpie Fine Point marker to write on the top of blank media. I never had any problems or damage from my discs that I can think of. However, I was reading online that this can damage this disc(s) overtime. Is this true or false? What do you guys and gals use to write on blank media?

Happy New Year!

The movie "The Room" starring Tommy Wiseau came out years ago and yet I don't see it on Amazon streaming service or in iTunes. Not on HULU either.
What other places can I look to watch the movie? Legally.  I don't want to buy it.  I just want to see it once.

I have a Verbatim 25GB 6x blu-ray disc. Before I burned anything to the disc Windows 10 said total size 22.5GB. Now after I burned 20.4GB onto the disc, Windows 10 now says total size 22.3GB.

Does this sound "normal"? First time burning a blu-ray disc successfully, always burned with CDs and DVDs and never noticed this before. Never had this happen to a CD, DVD or DVD+R DL.

What are some Windows 10 screen recording software programs that runs without being detected?

I need to install this software on my own laptop before turning it over to someone who should only be setting something up for me.

This person needs to work under my user profile while I am away and I need to make sure this person doesn't look at anything he shouldn't be looking at.

What programs can do this?

I need to hand my laptop over to someone to install some software on my computer.

during this time I need to make sure this person isn't looking at things on my computer he shouldn't be looking at.

I would like to run the Camtasia screen recording software (Version 8.5.2 (Build 1099) Apr 30, 2015) on my Windows 10 64-bit OS computer without it being obvious that this program is running and recording what is being done.

How can this be done?

Or if this is something that can't be done with Camtasia what are some other screen recording software programs that will do this?

I rented a movie on itunes and I am trying to transfer it to my ipod classic 6th generation.  The movie says it is HD.  When I try to move it to my ipod it looks like it will transfer and then it moves back to the other column and is not tranferred.  I assume this is because my generation ipod cannot download it.  When I go to itunes on this movie it does show some details of size that shows an sd version that is smaller in size than the hd one.  I can't seem to find this on the itunes page for the movie.  I also see in my purchased area of itunes that you can uncheck the box that says download hd movies if available.  So here is the question, if I delete the movie (not just try to redownload) will I be able to download it again?  Will it show that I purchased it or is it gone?  I want to do this to try and start from scratch and uncheck the box that says download hd movies if avaialble.    Maybe this is not the answer, any ideas?

Hello all,
I have a client that has a boat load of pictures.  He currently backs them up on a external hard drive and also backs them up on DVDs.
He is using Ashampoo Burning Studio 18 to do the burning pictures to DVD.  Currently he has to add up how much each picture uses in size so it will not go over the amount that you can burn onto a DVD which is very time consuming.
He is wondering if there is a DVD software that will only automatically tell you how many pictures you select that will burn on one DVD.
Thanks,
Kelly W.
