Office 365 is a group of software plus services subscriptions that provides productivity software and related services to its subscribers. Office 365 allows the use of Microsoft Office apps on Windows and OS X, provides storage space on Microsoft's cloud storage service OneDrive, and grants 60 Skype minutes per month. Office 365 includes e-mail and social networking services through hosted versions of Exchange Server, Skype for Business Server, SharePoint and Office Online, integration with Yammer, as well as access to the Office software. All of Office 365's components can be managed and configured through an online portal; users can be added manually, imported from a CSV file, or Office 365 can be set up for single sign-on with a local Active Directory using Active Directory Federation Services.

Autodiscover is not working for Exchange 2013 and I need it to so I can migrate the mailboxes to O365. OWA is working, however. I cannot create the endpoint connection in Office365. I cannot even setup Outlook offsite/onsite to connect to a mailbox. Somehow their mailboxes are still working for those that are currently setup.

After migrating batches of users to Office 365, in a Hybrid environment, it seems that users lose the ability to 'send as' the shared mailboxes that are housed on-premises.
The Full Permissions and Calendar permissions seem to work fine across environments.

I am having to run Add-RecipientPermission "On-PremMailbox@contoso.com" -AccessRights SendAs -Trustee "O365User@contoso.com" to give them those permissions back.

Is there anything I need to check that would allow these permissions to carry across until we have migrated all user and shared mailboxes?

Thanks

I am new to SharePoint, having just taken a week-long class.  I am trying to figure out some things for my firm.  We use FileSite as our DMS, so we would like to keep files within the DMS.  I figured out how to put a FileSite NRL link in a SharePoint documents library.

My question is about versioning.  I would like to use versioning with approvals, but is that possible when using links instead of documents?  If not, is there any sort of workaround, maybe a column for version number and another column for status, including a list such as; draft, interim draft, final draft, approved?

Hi Experts,

we have a strange ADFS problem.
I hope you can help me out.

Several users cannot connect to O365 trought ADFS.
The error message is, the password is wrong.

The users have changed their passwords on their workstations and the shit started....
When the users connect to adfs link , he cannot login.

adfs link
This happens from his workstation after the password change.
But when the user goes to another workstation, he logs in, then it works.

Conclusion: after a password change from the own workstation, all microsoft products are unusable.

Do you have any ideas what to check ?

Hello experts,
Just curious how you control and manage users who need to get certain services (eg, Sway, Planner etc) in your environment. Do you just leverage O365 groups (dependent of AD security groups?) or there are other options out there?

We have enabled automatic updates on a few machines in our company but the automatic udate don't seem to work. Furthermore when we force the update we get a mesage saying that the machine is up to date but in fact it is not since the version on the machine is1803 (build 9126.2315). I have attached a screen shot of the current version on my machine machine.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Hi experts,
We are in the process of identifying what is the best choice for IDP (identity and provider authentication) for Office 365 - 1) stay with native Azure AD passthrough or 2) using a 3rd party IDP.

Just wanted to know your experiences what are the benefits and disadvantages.

Thanks!

I have an Exchange 2010 hybrid environment. We use Office 365 for our mail now, but keep the hybrid environment as we manage users, etc on-premise and do some SMTP relaying against the hybrid server. I'm to the point where I want to remove the old Exchange server from the environment and have the hybrid Exchange server do all of the work. I have a link from MS that talks about how to do this. However, when I looked at the link in depth, it's really about removing the hybrid environment, which is NOT what I want to do.

Ultimately I want to remove the old original Exchange server and be left with the hybrid one that the consultant set up. Is this as simple as just removing an Exchange server from the environment where it's not the last Exchange server?  If so, does someone have a link to some good documentation on this?

In the Microsoft article covering implenting DMARC for Office 365 (here) the section about setting up a monitoring record states:

"Start with a simple monitoring-mode record for a sub-domain or domain that requests that DMARC receivers send you statistics about messages that they see using that domain. A monitoring-mode record is a DMARC TXT record that has its policy set to none (p=none)....

...You can easily see how much of your legitimate traffic is or isn't covered by them, and troubleshoot any problems. You'll also begin to see how many fraudulent messages are being sent, and from where."

But nowhere does it say how you would see these reports?  Do they bounce back to the original sender?  Is there somewhere in O365 admin these can be viewed?

Thanks,
-Rich

A user have two .onmicrosoft.com aliases and I would like to remove one of them. Is that possible?
I think I have managed to do it before, but I am not sure.

Set-MsolDirSyncEnabled -EnableDirSync $false

Waited some Hours then...

Set-Mailbox asdasd.asdas@asdaasdasd.com -EmailAddresses @{remove="yyxyxc@erwercvcv.onmicrosoft.com "}
"WARNING: The command completed successfully but no settings of '<user name>' have been modified."

It was not possible to remove this onmicrosoft.com address?

Can anyone provide some links to documentation that describes the technical differences between Power BI Pro vs. Premium?

For example, I have come to learn that Premium allows unlimited embed codes. Any 'capacity' items like that and/or anything else that will provide me a better understanding of Premium is what I am seeking to learn.

Thank you in advance for your help.

We incorrectly enabled an Archive mailbox for a cloud user, we are in a hybrid setup.  It was enabled via O365 portal and not on-prem as a hosted Archive Service first.

Now when we try to disable it online, we have to Disable In-Place Archive and get this error:

Exchange cant disable the mailbox <mailboxname> because it is on in-place hold. What program can modify business cards so that they can be imported into Outlook 365, with a desired format?

i have a user that set her work O365 Outlook Web Access (OWA) mailbox to forward to her person mail (gmail, yahoo, etc...). IT Security has asked me to find the log that shows she changed her O365 OWA mail to forward to her online personal email. She did this quite a while ago.

How can i see that audit trail/log and show the Security dept that she did in fact make that change/set her work email to forward to personal email?

I need to setup MFA for Office365.   The issue I am running into is that we have a department where they are discouraged from having personal phones at their desk during the day, they use a shared extension so calls ring on everyone's phone and some of them move between a few different locations.   Because of this I don't want to use SMS or call back options.   It also means I can not install apps on a cell phone for authentication.

Has anyone setup on the local computers a software token system to connect to Office365?

I'm to the point where I want to remove the old Exchange server from the environment and have the hybrid server do all of the work. I have a link from MS that talks about how to do this. But I have some concerns. For example, if I look at my Exchange server I have all of the pieces parts like Organization, Server, etc to make it work. If I look at the hybrid server, I do not have all of those parts in the Exchange management console. On the hybrid server I see the Org Config object, but not the server one. I am concerned if these missing parts will appear once I go thru the process of removing the original Exchange server.

Hello,

There was a message on my Windows 10 computer asking something like do you want Microsoft/Office 365 to manage this device and I clicked yes.

Since then, every email I receive in my Outlook I see two popups at my lower right.  Please see the attached.

The one in the screenshot is new.  Please advise how to turn it off.

Thanks.

A client email address seems to be sending out emails to clients asking for bank account changes etc.

The client is on a laptop using all the AVG products plus a a/v provided by solar winds.

Two clients have gotten these emails one that was not specific and one that asked for the exact invoice
that was due.

Sent items on a computer and in owa don't show that email being sent but I have message id's when I do an office 365 search
showing that they have been sent.

Below is the message headers...

Was this done via powershell or did the account get hacked?  I only see one reference to http
and I see this Transport-CrossTenantHeadersStripped:  part which I don't understand...

Both are office365 clients

I can generally figure these things out but the client has had the password changed and is running those software suites which while
not the best,  do pick up some bad activities.

Anyway we are trying to sniff out this in the right direction and would love to be told what I am reading wrong or where I should be looking

Thank you
