Office 365 is a group of software plus services subscriptions that provides productivity software and related services to its subscribers. Office 365 allows the use of Microsoft Office apps on Windows and OS X, provides storage space on Microsoft's cloud storage service OneDrive, and grants 60 Skype minutes per month. Office 365 includes e-mail and social networking services through hosted versions of Exchange Server, Skype for Business Server, SharePoint and Office Online, integration with Yammer, as well as access to the Office software. All of Office 365's components can be managed and configured through an online portal; users can be added manually, imported from a CSV file, or Office 365 can be set up for single sign-on with a local Active Directory using Active Directory Federation Services.

We are running our Exchange mail in a Hybrid environment.  All user mailboxes have been migrated to O365.  I was unable to send an announcement from a mailbox this morning as the recipient limit was reached. When I attempted to send the email from that mailbox I was confronted with, "Your message wasn't delivered to anyone because there are too many recipients. The limit is 500. Your message has 1181 recipients.

My question is....can a user send to more than 500 recipients or is 500 the default in Exchange Online and that can not be modified?

Office 365: When I choose to create a new document, how can I get it to default to Personal, not Featured templates?

I have Office 365. I have 18 years of Personal (or Custom) templates. I can now choose them when I want to create a new document.
My irritation is that when I create a new document, Word, Excel, or PowerPoint default to Featured and I need to click the Personal link to get to my templates.
In the last 10 years, I have created thousands of documents and have probably searched for Microsoft-supplied templates less than 5 times.

we have now airwatch for our mobile devices management

all mailboxes are on office 365, we have ADFS on premise

wanted to know what are the advantages of air watch integration with office 365

or can we remove completely air watch and put all mobile device management in intune?

is there any way we can do it

any reason why we should use workspace one over airwatch?

We use Office 365 for Exchange. One employee's email account was compromised. HR received a request for changing direct deposit bank, from this employee's email address, and HR replied the email. But the request wasn't from the employee. The employee could receive all the normal emails, but not the ones related to this request.

How can we trace the original request email? How can we fix this issue?

Hi Experts, we are in a Hybrid mode with Exchange 2010 currently. In O365 we have another domain which is not part of Azure AD Connect and so is completly in O365. When we point Public Folders for Hybrid migrated users to on premise Exchange servers the users who are not part of the sync and are completely in O365 keep getting a password prompt. Once we disable the pointing to on premise Hybrid server for Public folders the password prompt stops for users who are not part of the Azure AD Connect sync.

I was thinking of enabling Public Folders in O365 and pointing the users who are only in O365 to these public folders (which it should by default) and point the other users who we are migrating to on premise Hybrid server. I believe there is a powershell script that can be run to do this on each mailbox

Thanks

I need 1 or more example  of retention policy like below

There is an organization-wide retention policy which protects data which is not older five years and an org-wide policy which deletes all items which are older than two years. Items created three years ago will not be deleted because of the first policy, while items older than five years,
which are not protected anymore, will be deleted because of the second policy.

if you can give any example with regard to CEO  or important people  or for only marketing group for an org of 500 employees

Hello Experts,

Has anyone upgraded from Microsoft MDM to Intune? How seemless was the migration? What type of issues did you run into?

Thank you,
Steph M

We have a client who was on o365, we installed an on prem 2016 exchange and put into hybrid mode. All accounts were then moved to the on prem server.

We have some users using ios devices who cannot sync their email, account setup goes though but they wont show any data.

I tried to extract the message header of a spam email that we are receiving in inbox and noticed that it doesn't have a SPF. My question is, is this suppose to be accepted even if it did not permit to send the email? Why is it not being blocked by EOP?

      received-spf      None (protection.outlook.com: daemon-domain.com does not designate permitted sender hosts)

I have been having nothing but trouble with an install of Office 2016 on a W10 computer. So I tried upgrading to O365 and the problems have only gotten worse. So as a last resort I want to apply the Dell Recovery and start over. My question is how do I deactivate the O365 license so when I am done I can reinstall it back onto this computer.? Are there any videos on how to handle the O365 licensing. After installing Office for 30 years a certain way I found www.office.com to be over complicated and not easy to navigate. Microsoft really needs to hire people and watch us old fools try to learn new tricks. We know what we want to do but everything is moved and the terminology has changed.

I have a few questions based around Office 365?

Background
Client has publicdomain.co.uk for the on premise Exchange email
Client has publicdomain.onmicrosoft.com on their Office 365
publicdomain.co.uk had been restored on Office 365

I'm not bothered about the Exchange Migration, I'm quite happy with that, my questions are...

1. Can users log into O365 as BOTH username@publicdomain.co.uk AND username@publicdomain.onmicrosoft.com ? (users are Azure AD Sync'd in)

2. I Need to enable usernameXYZ@publicdomain.onmicrosoft.com FULL access to all the mailboxes in Office 365, Im assuming PowerShell is the easiest way to do this?

3. Will ALL O365 users automatically get username@publicdomain.co.uk AND username@publicdomain.onmicrosoft.com as SMTP addresses?

Regards,

Pete

Hi,

Currently we are running an on-premise SharePoint 2016 server, we are interested in moving some of our on-premise infrastructure to Office365. We are already using Azure AD Connect to sync our Active Directory to Azure.

I have installed the SharePoint Online Management Shell on the on-premise SharePoint server, along with the latest version of of the SharePoint Migration Tool - 2.1.101.0

After connecting to both Office365 and the on-premise SharePoint site that I want to migrate, I see the following error:

The SharePoint version is not supported

I have also tried to use the SP Online Management shell to do migration, but get the same error.

Is migrating from SharePoint 2016 not supported at the moment? Is this something that is going to change in the near future?

Failing that, is it possible to migrate using some other method which will preserve all metadata etc?

Any information much appreciated,

Kind Regards

Hello All,

I need help with the If and Equal statements in powershell.
What I'm trying to do is create a powershell script to automate user creation in O365 and on prem.
Once the user is created and their job title matches a certain title then I want all group memebership to be copied from another user

For creating a user in O365 I have the code below

Import-Csv -Path "C:\O365NewAccounts.csv" | foreach {New-MsolUser
-DisplayName $_.DisplayName -FirstName $_.FirstName -LastName $_.LastName
-UserPrincipalName $_.UserPrincipalName -JobTitle $_.Title
-LicenseAssignment test:ENTERPRISEPACK}

Open in new window

Now I have this script to copy from one user to the other
Get-ADUser -Identity <CopyUser> -Properties memberof | Select-Object -ExpandProperty memberof |  Add-ADGroupMember -Members <New User>

Open in new window

How can I join those two powershell together with the IF and Equal?
Would something like below work?

$JobTitle = 'Job'

  If ($JobTitle -eq 'Sales')  {

  'Get-ADUser -Identity SalesUser -Properties memberof | Select-Object -ExpandProperty memberof | Add-ADGroupMember -Members NewUser'

  }  ElseIf ($JobTitle  -eq 'IT')  {

  'Get-ADUser -Identity ITUser -Properties memberof | Select-Object -ExpandProperty memberof | Add-ADGroupMember -Members NewUser''

  }  ElseIf ($JobTitle  -eq 'HR')  {

  'Get-ADUser -Identity SalesUser -Properties memberof | Select-Object -ExpandProperty memberof | Add-ADGroupMember -Members NewUser'

  }

}

Open in new window

For example If job title equals Sales then get user DisabledSalesAccount and copy all of it's group membership.
I would like to list out certain job titles such as Sales, IT, HR, etc. If job title does not equal any title in the script, then ignore.

Right now I'm running two script to create the user and copy group membership.
If anyone can help point me to the right direction, that'll be great.

Thanks in advance!

What is the process for setting up an Office 365 shared email account within the built-in mail app on an iPhone?

The user who will be setting up this app already has full rights to both this shared email account and full rights to send emails directly from this shared email account.

This shared email account automatically appears within Outlook 2016 on this user's Windows 10 computer.

What is the process for setting up this shared email account within the built-in mail app on an iPhone?
