Hi Experts,

We have been tasked with looking into buying office 365 licenses for a customers subsidiary company in a county outside of the EU.
The email domain needs to be the same so I believe that we need to use the same office 365 portal where we buy the licenses.  This would mean buying UK 365 licenses to be used overseas by users within the subsidiary company.
Are there any cross border Microsoft licensing barriers I should be aware of?

Using the last SharePoint site in Office 365, and after some changes (see below), all files in SharePoint Sync as marked Read Only (Padlock icon)
All files are Read OnlyIndeed if you try to save the file after making a change, you are warned that this file is Read Only and to save using a new name or in a different location.

When editing a file in Word, all files have the following error message: "REQUIRED PROPERTIES To save to the server, correct the invalid or missing required properties"
Required PropertiesWhen you click on the "Edit Properties" button, Word is asking to add a Title and a File Type. If you fail to enter a File Type, you cannot proceed.
PropertiesSame "error" appears when checking the file online
Properties while online
ALL the files and folder in that Site are affected
There are 54K+ files & ~6,000 folders affected

1. Files were previously uploaded without issues by dropping them in a SharePoint synced folder on a Windows 10 PC using OneDrive one demand
2. There was no issue initially with Read Only or Properties missing
3. We had to restart the above process because it had been stopped in the middle
4. It is only after this second upload that their Read Only & Properties settings were changed.

Google has not helped so far.
* Only one possible root cause (but no fix): Changing the Default View on the SharePoint Site web page that lists all the Documents in that Site has been shown to create …
users have their new skype meeting icon missing.

also room finder under room list on right hand side doesnt show up

WE HAVE office 365 proplus (outlook 2016)

i rebuild the outlook profile but that doesnt work
I have a client that insists on moving email items in Outlook by right clicking on the email and selecting move / Other folder. When he does this it takes about 10 to 15 seconds for the dialog box to open. After that everything is OK. He says this started after the last Office 365 update last week.

He does not want to drag the item to another folder which works fine because "that is not the way I am used to doing it." I would really hate for the poor guy to do something different even if it makes his life easier!!

He does have a lot of sub folders which I think is the problem however he claims it worked until last weeks office 365 updates. I have no way of knowing if this is true or not.

I need to find out how to make it so it does not take so long when he right clicks on an email item and selects "move" / "Other Folder"  for the dialog box to come up.
Using Exchange365 I trying to stop phishing messages that spoof the CEO's address. We have a rule set up for it but it looks wrong.
We have this set up in Exchange admin centre, protection, spam filter.

Applied to:
If the message:
Is sent to 'theceo@xxx.xx' or 'theFD@xxx.xx'
Take the following actions:
Apply hosted content filter policy "test".
Except if the message:

What I'm trying to configure is if the mail comes from an address where the name is 'theceo' but the mail address is not from our organisation.

Any ideas how this can be done?  We have Exchange for Business so don't yet have the enhanced anti-spoofing yet.
I’m seeing a small but strange issue in an environment that has Okta, on prem AD, Azure AD and O365.

There are users in Azure/O365 with usernames using the federated domain.com, however I do not see them in on prem AD. They are classified as “in-cloud”.
So how come if I try and create another user in Azure or O365, I cannot specify the same domain.com in its username since I get an error that the domain is federated?

I try to understand the authentication mechanism with O365 if we decide to go in cloud. For Example if a user change his AD password then how it will take to sync to O365?

Is it synced by Azure AD Connect? If yes how often or how long does it take to sync the pw change?
All of a sudden a client of mine doesn't receive email.  He is a single Office 365 user.  Invoices are current, etc.

He can send email from both the portal and Outlook... doesn't receive email at either location.

The only email that he can receive is email he sends to himself.

Hi all,

We recently configured hybrid exchange and I am currently testing O365 with a few users.

I would like to change the Junk Email folder settings for all our of our users.  Is this possible?

This is the setting in Settings >> Mail >> Accounts >> Block or Allow

O365 junk email settings

I would like the default to be "Dont move email to my Junk Email folder".  It seems for the majority of users the default is "Automatically filter junk email".

I cannot seem to find anywhere in any of the admin consoles where I can pre-set this for our users.

We are planning an Exchange 2013 hybrid deployment with Office 365.

Current infrastructure:
4 Exchange 2013 servers, 3 of them in a DAG, 1 Separate for another domain.
All mail servers are in my mail domain.

The issue I am having with research is our current deployment doesn't match any of the hybrid deployment guides.
Our AD Forest has 6 sub domains one of them being our mail domain where our mail servers reside.
The department that wants to go to the hybrid deployment is setup differently than all other departments.
They have their own forest/domain with a two way trust with the mail domain.
All of their accounts are on a separate server that is not part of the DAG and a separate database that is only on this one server.
All of their accounts are linked accounts to their separate forest/domain.
Our initial plan is to only migrate 35 users then get the other 900 moved once the deployment is successful.

Any advice is much appreciated
Dear All

i'm migrating on-premises exchange mailbox to Office 365, but I see the sync got stuck for a long time (see below screen), is there anything wrong ? any help would be appreciated

I had a power shell script that was emailing user letting know there password was about to expire. I just found out that a few months ago this stopped working. It seems to be an authentication issue but I am not sure how to correct it. We are using a O365 Hybrid Environment and I am running the script from my DC

We have recently moved to Office 365 as a means of escaping another ransomware attack (A topic for another EE-Question).
> In making the migration, we used the PST files from our various PC-Based Outlook Clients (We were using Outlook 2003/2007/2013/2016).
> As a precaution so as not to lose the user's original PST file, I made a copy of it and placed it on the C:\
> I then imported the PST file to the new Outlook 2016 PC Based Client
> Following Microsoft's Office 365 Tech Support instructions, I then Exported the same file back into Office 365(Not sure why, but I confirmed twice that is what they wanted me to)

In any event the PST file was imported and sync'ed with the OWA client and all appears to be working, EXCEPT the "AutoComplete" did not carry over from the previous Outlook account and we need to know how to recover that information.

Does anyone have any experience with this?

i have to give small presentation on retention policy

Dear Experts

We are using offfice 365 SMTP relay to send mails to the external users through the CRM application, i,e option 3 on the following URL
https://support.office.com/en-us/article/how-to-set-up-a-multifunction-device-or-application-to-send-email-using-office-365-69f58e99-c550-4274-ad18-c805d654b4c4 , this CRM system is allowed only to talk with <domain>.mail.protection.outlook.com on port 25 and 587 and rest of the access to the internet is blocked, not access for this CRM system to http/https to the external network.
1. we observed the CRM system workflow triggers the emails to the external network users only when the port 80 is opened for the CRM system at the gateway/firewall level,  we noticed the CRM system gets connected to internet and connects to crl.globalsign.com  and from here it is connecting to office365 smtp and emails are delivered.
2. when we disable access to external network i,e port 80 http blocked for CRM system at gateway/firewall then emails does not flow no packets flow found hence no mails are sent.
3. When only allowed CRM system can talk to crl.globalsign.com  then emails are getting triggered.
can you please help me understand how this office365 is working when it is configured to the CRM system. is it essential that CRM system to be allowed to talk to crl.globalsign.com . please suggest.

We have several different domains on different GSuite accounts.  Our original primary domain is on Exchange.  I recently migrated that account to Exchange 365.  Now i would like to move all the gsuite accounts to my 365 account.  the problem is that userA has a 365 mailbox and also has 2-3 gsuite mailboxes.  what i would like to do is assign the email addresses to the primary 365 user, then point the MX records to 365 so that any mail sent to that users gsuite account would route to his 365 mailbox..  not 100% sure that will work but if it does, the next question would be, how do i get each users mail from their gsuite account into their 365 mailbox.  Maintaining all these accounts across two different platforms is causing issues for users with calendars, etc.
What process can I use for inviting all of my Outlook 2016 contacts to my LinkedIn account?
Hello everyone,

one of our clients has recently moved their user's email accounts to Office 365.
One of the users has problems with emails consistently ending in Junk mail despite trying to force it on the whitelist, add to safe senders etc.
The weird thing is that she is a part of a distribution list named "tickets@company.com" - the company gets generated emails from their ticketing system or customers inquiries to that specific delivery group and everyone else gets them in their inbox or the TICKETS folder that they have made it for separating these generated emails, only she gets it directly to the Junk folder. Occasionally they do get in the inbox but after a few minutes, they get moved from the inbox to the Junk folder. Also tried changing in the webmail version of the 365, adding to whitelist, disabling junk mail all together but nothing helps.
It all started a couple of weeks ago, all of sudden she just got about 1000+  old, deleted emails reappear in the junk folder...

Anyone had any idea what to do, try out?

Thnx in advance!
Dear Experts

CRM system work flow triggers emails to the prospect email account as and when the prospect statues changes via the SMTP server ( without password that is without authentication as it is Relay server hosted locally-office 365 mail protection ). We could see the connection to the email server getting established but no packets sent/received , but through telnet we can send and receive mails by making use of from and to email commands through the telnet session, can you help where the things are going wrong. following SL2 cases it works but SL3 it does not work.
1. though telnet to the smtp server with FROM and TO commands it works that is mail is delivered to the TO addressed account.
2. though CRM system configure email settings with email account, smtp and port without the SMTP authentication mail is getting delivered to the To account.
3. CRM system through workflow trigger email on each status changes mail is not getting delivered instead we can see connection is ESTABLISHED to the smtp server
Link Access to specific Outlook folder using VBA

I have created the link using "External Data" but I need Access to be able to link to a specific folder in Outlook using VBA please
Currently use Office 365/Exchange Online for email. Domain examples: mydomain.org/mydomain.onmicrosoft.com
Added GSuite to our offerings, but did not enable gmail functionality. Same domain: mydomain.org
Two different mindsets from users: Some want to keep using Exchange Online for email, some want to use Gmail for email. There is no "Definitive Line" where we could logically seperate those users.
Moving away from Exchange Online represents a large number of unwanted changes.
Preliminary research indicates we can use Dual Delivery routing to use an external server to Gmail and Exchange. Does this mean we can just have one Email management system, in this case--Exchange Online--copy emails to gmail, without having to setup seperate, new email addresses on Gmail?

The quote below is taken directly from https://support.google.com/a/answer/2685650

You set up dual delivery to deliver email messages to 2 or more inboxes. For example, users can receive messages in a Gmail inbox and a non-Gmail inbox, such as a Microsoft Exchange inbox or an archiving server.

With this configuration, incoming mail is delivered to a primary mail server, which processes and delivers each message. The primary server then forwards a copy of the message to a secondary mail server, which delivers it to the second inbox. The primary server is the mail server identified in the MX records for your public domain.

If the external server is the primary server, you configure that server
