Office 365 is a group of software plus services subscriptions that provides productivity software and related services to its subscribers. Office 365 allows the use of Microsoft Office apps on Windows and OS X, provides storage space on Microsoft's cloud storage service OneDrive, and grants 60 Skype minutes per month. Office 365 includes e-mail and social networking services through hosted versions of Exchange Server, Skype for Business Server, SharePoint and Office Online, integration with Yammer, as well as access to the Office software. All of Office 365's components can be managed and configured through an online portal; users can be added manually, imported from a CSV file, or Office 365 can be set up for single sign-on with a local Active Directory using Active Directory Federation Services.

Using Skype for Business in a Exchange 2010 Hybrid Environment

The conversation history doesn't show up for either internal or external calls

Is there anything that we need to look at in order to get this working?

After a local on-premises Active Directory upgrade to Windows 2016, we would like to deploy AD Connect and sync the local AD with Azure AD and Office 365.

The problem is that the users accounts already exists in Office 365 and are "in the cloud only".
Is it possible to sync and link the local user accounts and the Office 365 accounts?

Hello,

I am using GoDaddy. And I use outlook office 365 to read my email. The limitation I have is that outlook shows only the last 30 days of email received.

How can I change that please?  I would like to see the last 6 months of email received

Can someone send me step by step how to change this?

Thank you

I have Exchange 2016 in a Hybrid setup. How do you migrate mail enabled security groups and distribution lists to Office 365? Or if this is even possible?

I was told that this is possible by converting it to universal groups first? Or do I delete them and recreate them as Office 365 groups?

If I leave these groups on-prem (leave it out from AD Sync), can the member of the groups be on both on-premise and Office 365 (mix of users)

Hey all, one of our users (at least we think it is only one) is having issues with caller ID, note that we use skype for business/O365 online.

For example: When he calls me I see his proper skype/office # on  the caller ID because he is calling me from his skype for business account....but if I miss the call, I do get an email notification....but in the details it shows as if the call came from his mobile #.

Any idea where the issue could be?

I did notice something in the desktop client settings...under Options - Phones, I do see his office and mobile #s listed, but am unable to change the mobile# because the "Mobile Phone" button is greyed out (see attached image)

I found this article that said its an admin setting, but I can't find it anywhere...again, not sure if this is the cause but figured I would mention it.

Hello,

Users connect to Office 365 hosted Exchange.  Local client is running Outlook 2016.  2 users with the same permissions and licenses.

When sending an email, one user is able to select Opti0ons | Permission and set options including "Encrypt Only", "Do not forward".  The user on a different PC is unable to do so.

What am I missing?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Experts,

Just wanted to get some advice. We're an o365 E3 license holder, who pretty much use all the functionality of o365 online with the exception of Exchange. For reasons I shall not bore you with, we still run an on prem Exchange 2016 environment, along with a local AD syncing via AAD Connect.

My question is as follows. Is there a simple way to intergrate Exchange 2016 on prem with the Office 365 tenant without migrating, so that when people are working via www.office.com, they can access email, sharepoint etc through the single pane of glass view (aka - for the end user, they are non the wiser that they are accessing Exchange on prem, SharePoint Online). I've read conflicting posts as to what is possible.

If you have any thoughts, or can point me to some good posts, I would really appreciate it.

Many thanks,

Rob

Hi all,

We would like to use Group Policy to set up - "Prompt users to move Windows known folders to OneDrive"

However, we do not have the registry key that Microsoft describes that must be enabled and so I created it on a users account but nothing happened as a result - Sample reg Key - [HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\OneDrive]"KFMOptInWithWizard"="1111-2222-3333-4444"

We also don't have the Group Policy's that should be enabled - “Silent redirect Windows known folder to OneDrive” and “Prompt users to move Windows known folders to OneDrive (See Image Attached).

I would appreciate if someone could shed some light on this?

Thanks

I need to clean up 20+ distribution groups with duplicates (due to nested groups) in Office365 and I am thinking the best way to manage it would be to:

  1. Use a text filter or import a CSV to target only specific groups that need this cleanup
  2. Add the Managers distribution group to the targeted list
  3. Remove any of the individual managers that are part of the targeted group.

Here is an example of the current group setup:

Managers DL: managers@email.com
manager1@email.com
manager2@email.com
manager3@email.com
manager4@email.com
manager5@email.com
manager6@email.com
manager7@email.com
manager8@email.com
manager9@email.com
manager10@email.com

Current Field site DL: Site1@email.com
user1@email.com
user2@email.com
user3@email.com
user4@email.com
user5@email.com
manager1@email.com
manager2@email.com
manager3@email.com
manager4@email.com
manager5@email.com
manager6@email.com
manager7@email.com
manager8@email.com
manager9@email.com
manager10@email.com

Here is an example of a group that I have manually edited to get the desired outcome:

Cleaned up field site DL: Site1@email.com
user1@email.com
user2@email.com
user3@email.com
user4@email.com
user5@email.com
managers@email.com

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I have a similar problem to https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/29091393/Excel-unable-to-refresh-data-Macros-may-be-disabled.html#a42513666
I have installed an Excel add in called Onestream which might be causing an issue. There are no macros in the workbook. When the add in in enabled I get errors with formulas that use GET.
The add in worked fine in Excel 2013, but is giving me issues now that I’m using Excel for Office 365 on a new install on a new computer.
Thanks!

We have many small customers that use Office 365 with Azure AD Connect.

One Customer has the following Problem:

We added a new Domain to his O365 (DNS correct, domain is validated)

We added new SMTP Address (Old and New Domain) to his AD Users (ProxyAddress Attribute)

Azure AD Connect recognizes the new smtp Addresses, and adds them to the user.

The Problem is:
Although we see in the Synchronization Service Manager that the additional smtp's get added to the O365 Users, they don't show up in O365.
Neither O365, nor IDFix or our Synchronization Manager see any errors.

I also checked the following Microsoft article, nothing really aplies to our case:
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/2643629/one-or-more-objects-don-t-sync-when-the-azure-active-directory-sync-to

The Problem applies to all our currently synced AD Users.

I attached an ADSync Diagnostic Report as an attachement.

We tried the following until now:

1. Updating Azure AD Connect
2. Completely Removing Azure AD Connect
3. Reinstall Azure AD Connect anew

Nothing seems to work, i can't get a single error Message from O365 or our AD Server...

Kind Regards
Max

This is what I am using to get a Mobile Device report from our Office 365 server. I get Identity in the report, but it looks like this and is not easy to work with.

SERVER.PROD.OUTLOOK.COM/Microsoft Exchange Hosted Organizations/company365.onmicrosoft.com/Display Name/ExchangeActiveSyncDevices/Android?androidc97397597
SERVER.PROD.OUTLOOK.COM/Microsoft Exchange Hosted Organizations/company365.onmicrosoft.com/Display Name/ExchangeActiveSyncDevices/iPhone?7YHLOI8DER5HCN01HYHY8UDEC

This is the power shell I am running:

$Mailboxes = Get-Mailbox -Identity $_.UserPrincipalName -RecipientTypeDetails UserMailbox -ResultSize Unlimited
$Devices = $Mailboxes | %{Get-ActiveSyncDeviceStatistics -Mailbox $_.Identity} | `?{$_.LastSuccessSync | export-csv PATH

I need to get the email address, UPN, or even the user's display name in a column.

Any help much appreciated.
