Office 365 is a group of software plus services subscriptions that provides productivity software and related services to its subscribers. Office 365 allows the use of Microsoft Office apps on Windows and OS X, provides storage space on Microsoft's cloud storage service OneDrive, and grants 60 Skype minutes per month. Office 365 includes e-mail and social networking services through hosted versions of Exchange Server, Skype for Business Server, SharePoint and Office Online, integration with Yammer, as well as access to the Office software. All of Office 365's components can be managed and configured through an online portal; users can be added manually, imported from a CSV file, or Office 365 can be set up for single sign-on with a local Active Directory using Active Directory Federation Services.

We use office 365 and on all our computers we use Outlook 2013.  When we add a new staff member is there a way for them to be added to every users contacts?   I'm not referring to the Global Address Book.  I'm referring to the "Contacts" in Outlook 2013.

If so how do we do this?

Hi,
So we are having an issue where everyone in company A is receiving a bounce back when emailing anyone in company B. company B migrated to Office365 a while back and they report no other companies are having issues emailing them.
DNS resolution for the companyb.com domain resolves to Office365. The bounce back is received on mobile devices, OWA, laptops internally and externally for companyA. The server generating the bounce back is the old email server
I asked IT for companyB to check their DNS records for any stale records, but they assure companyA that no stale records are seen.

Thoughts on what else to check?

Thanks

We have Exchange 2007 and I want to enable Outlook Anywhere feature for the purpose of office 365 staged migration.
We already have a working OWA 2007 for the users and I have completed the following steps a, b and c

a) I had purchased multi domain SSL certificate with ( exchangemail.myorg.co.uk and autodiscover.myorg.co.uk)  and have installed successfully on our exchange server.
b) I have installed Enable RPC over HTTP
c) On the EMC- Sever Configuration-Client access- I have Enabled Outlook Anywhere.

Now:
Our DNS and firewall is hosted by  external company . Do I need to ask them to create CNAME record for autodiscover.myorg.co.uk  to point to the same IP of OWA( Exchange Server)
Any help would be great, Thanks in advance

Hi
Does this exist in full product of office 2016 (non-subscription)?
and
Is it essentially an improvement and combination of tasks and calendar?
Thanks

As the title states...

We use Office 365 and have a user out.  We would like LB to be able to read JL's mail.

I went to this link, from Microsoft, and it showed how to allow others to read the email... so I shared JL's mailbox.

How do I now get LB to read it?

We are planning to integrate our on-premises AD with office365 which is hosted on AWS. Currently we don't have on-premises exchange. Hence I need to know which ports must be opened on the AWS network for dirsync to communicate with office365.

Thanks

How does this limitation affect end users if

- they OD4B to sync libraries ?
- they use file explorer to access SPOL libraries ?
- does searching a library that has more that 5000 items yeild incorrect results ?

I have set my Android phone to sync with myemail@outlook.com and my desktop Outlook 365 to sync to the same account and even though both seem to show they are syncing, the contact lists are different. Can anyone help me fix.

To expand a little, in case it is relevant,
1. I have two yahoo IMAP accounts in my sync list, one of which is the default
2. I have 3 other Microsoft Exchange email addresses on different accounts that I am syncing too, PLUS myemail@Outlook.com
3. I am not trying to sync Outlook.com emails, just the contacts because that it's the only one I thought Outlook would sync with
4. The other 3 Exchange accounts seem to be syncing fine

I have 200 users in exchange 2013 on premise. I plan to use this server as a hybrid server and send 100 users to the cloud. All users will still be managed via the on prem server. Some colleagues have advised I need 100 CALs on prem and 100 O365 licenses while others have said I need 200 on prem and 200 in the cloud as in this type of mode the mailbox has the ability to be moved between either. Has anyone licensed such a setup? thanks

Hi Experts,

I'm interested in migrating our PC based Access 2010 database to the Cloud, so we can have a few users in remote locations.

I've looked at Microsoft webpages describing different versions of Office 365.
But all of them refer to Access (PC only)?

Does that mean that Access (PC only) can automatically share a database in Microsoft's cloud?

Or am I missing something?

Regards,
Leigh

My client was using exchange 2013, now they have moved to office 365. They did not migrate public folder and still Public folder is on exchange server. They are asking us public folder data. How can I export it in PST format?

Is there any other way to get this public folder data?

Hello,

I am using the below commands to remove send as, send on behalf, and full access to user mailboxes:

remove-mailboxpermission, remove-recipientpermission, and set-mailbox

Instead of typing three commands, if there a way I can remove the delegate's all permissions in oneshot

Thanks.

Are there any known problems with having an Office 365 & Gmail profile (using IMAP) in same Mac Outlook 2016 email profile at the same time?

A user I support has intermittent issues with his Office 365 Inbox and calendar not updating within Mac Outlook 2016 and we are wondering if this might be caused by the fact the he has both Office 365 and a Gmail email accounts setup within the same Mac Outlook 2016 profile.

We have an on prem Exchange 2013 server and our only smart host is our Office 365 account.  So, our email server sends mail to O365 to be sent on to the recipient.

We need to force TLS to one of our recipients.  I went in to build a connector to do that with.  Another tech of ours says, hey, we have a transport rule.  Just add the domain to the transport rule.

That got me to thinking, what's the diff in using a transport rule vs using a connector to force TLS?  Can someone explain that to me?

Thanks

What happens with Outlook 365 incoming emails if they can't reach the recipient?

I was making some changes with our users proxyAddresses on my DNS server and mistakenly had a typo in one of my users main email address causing her not to receiving incoming emails from 4:30 pm last night till  about 9:30 am this morning after she made me aware of it.

Is there any way to see or get back any of then incoming messages they may have came in, or if not, would a bounce back have been sent to the sender?

Any help in this matter would be most appreciated.

Hi
It looks like Skype for free has changed from the old username model to a Microsoft account requirement model..?
So, im trying to get Skype for business installed on a machine via the portal but the click to run fails as we dont have o365.  We bought the product instead.
Is there a way of downloading the program manually so i can install?  Im guessing the OCT?

Hi all,

I would like to know if it is possible too check if an e-mail alias is being used?

Situation:
- 100x Office 365 E3 licenses
- Exchange Online
- Domain A
- Domain B

E.g.:
A user with name "Testuser" uses our default e-mail adres with our "Domain A" so his e-mail adress is "Testuser@domainA.com".
"Testuser" also has an e-mail alias setup with our "Domain B" so his e-mail alias is "Testuser@domainB.com".

We are pashing out our "Domain B" but to do so I would like to inventorise if there are e-mails being send to users with a "Domain B" alias.

I would like to know if anyone can help me achieve this?

I already found a Powershell command to see which mailboxes are using "Domain B" alias - maybe it can help you so:

Get-Recipient -ResultSize unlimited| Where {$_.EmailAddresses -like "*@DomainB.com"} | FL DisplayName,EmailAddresses

I would like to thank you in advance!

Kind Regards,

I have read the article online on how to setup o365 multi-function devices which work perfect but we have two unique cases which I need others opinion on. We have two seperate App server the run custom application and accept emails from a sub-domain name the push out a broadcast notification. I know I can work with my security team to create a direction connection between the internal server and o365 then in o365 set the internal server as a smart host for email sent to the specified domain. While this does work i do no feel right on connect a server direct and wondering if it would be test to setup an internal server running IIS / SMTP that would connect to o365 acting a buffer to the external connection.

thoughts?

A user with a MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2016, Four Thunderbolt 3 Ports) running Mac Outlook 2016 has an issue where Outlook intermittently doesn't update the emails & calendar events. Outlook is connected to Office 365.

Outlook can be used without any problems but won't update the Inbox & calendar events unless Outlook is closed and opened again.

We have scanned the Mac using Malwarebytes and Norton antivirus and no problems have been found.

The Mac laptop is connected to a secure office Wi-Fi network and doesn't have any other problems.

The Wi-Fi is working fine as the user is able to connect to websites, print, and do everything else that requires a network or internet connection.

There are also several other Macs in this office that are connected to the same Wi-Fi network and are using the same Office 365 e-mail domain and none of them are having this issue.

We have already uninstalled Office 2016 (using the approved methods) reinstalled Office 2016 and all Apple and Office 2016 updates are installed.

What else can be done to fix this issue?

What are the steps to add another user's calendar to an iPhone 6 (with iOS 10.3.3)?

Office 365 is being used to host both of these email accounts.

Is there any way of doing this other than adding the other user's Office 365 account to this user's iPhone (and choosing only to sync the other user's Office 365 calendar? This is a security risk since we don't want the user with the iPhone to go into the account settings and be able to download and reply to the other user's emails).

According to Microsoft:

Get-AzureADUserLicenseDetail gets you the information about product (SKU) licenses assigned to the user. Each product lists the service plans and their state. The state here is based on what the administrator did when assigning the license – did they Enable or Disable the specific service plan in the license?

I would like to report each Sku/Plan and the options - if enabled or disabled.

Any ideas (with AzureADv2)?

thank you.

Hello,

Our company has remote offices that have legacy physical file servers providing local mapped drives to the local users.  As these servers are getting old and diskspace is reaching the limit, they are getting difficult to maintain.

If an AWS cloud server can resolve this issue, would you give me an idea of how?

I was thinking about having the users to save their data to Office 365 One Drive but it only ties to their personal.

Please advise.

Thanks.

Hello,

I went through a hybrid migration process of moving users from Exchange 2010 to O365. Prior to assigning everyone O365 Premium licenses I had 3 users including myself, that had Premium licenses of office 365 (mail was never synced or used), that someone had purchased in the past. I had removed those licenses and assigned users O365 Business licenses.

Account migration went without major issues, I had all the accounts synced. Today I assigned all of my users O365 Premium licenses. That is when I noticed that 4 accounts had sync issues. I got the following error "
The subscription for the migration user ******@*****.com couldn't be loaded. The following error was encountered: A subscription wasn't found for this user.." Since I was one of the users affected, I removed the migration batch I had for myself. I was simply going to re create the batch and sync again. That's when I noticed that my name was not available for migration from 2010 to O365. I did a bit of digging and found my and the 3 other accounts already having mailboxes.

Question is. How can I re-sync the 4 accounts.

I have installed skype for business (office 365) on a domain computer/user.
I can send invitation to external users and they can join the video conf. via the link.

However:
- When I add the skype for business user to the contact list on a skype (windows 10) or skype app the skype for business does not get the notification that someone added it to their contact list
- Adding the external skype user to the contacts in skype for business, neither side can see the other's status
- attempting to initiate a call from either direction to the other fails
