However, business application suites such as Microsoft Office, which include word processing, spreadsheet and presentation programs, are typically called productivity software, as contrasted with a "utility program," such as a file manager, which is used to organize files and folders on the computer. Many office- and business-oriented groups of programs are organized into suites.

In our organization we use Starleaf Breeze for videoconference. However, we also have Skype for business online as part of our Office365 Enterprise E3 license.

However, when using Skype for business we cannot call external partners. In the Office365 admin center, under Skype for business, we have enabled open federation, but still we cannot call anyone outside our organization.

If i call a test site like 0262463194@csiro.au with our Starleaf Breeze client, the call is immediately successful. But if i call the same number with Skype for Business, the call just ends in a "0262463194@csiro.au was not found"

What am i missing here?

I have Mac 2011, but see that the updated version is 14.7.7.

Is that pretty much current?

I use Office 365, but am in the midst of a very large download from Office 365. I may not need to run that installation, if I already have the Excel version that file contains.

Please let me know.

I need to see a few different ways to display the attached spreadsheet.

It contains a crude estimator of the cost for a merchant to accept credit cards, for various levels of monthly transactions and for three different transaction fee rates. I have a column for each of 3%, 4% and 5%.

Those are the costs for 36 months, hence the three year costs.

What kinds of ways can I display this information? I need it to be clear for a person that is not too "graph savvy." My hope is it can help them see what their cost may be, since they know roughly the amount of total charges each month, and likely have a rough idea of the actual transaction fee rate.

With those two data points, I want them to see the three year cost of those transaction fees.

I am starting to send lots of faxes as part of my marketing plan. I work from home and send for free with my all-in-one, with downsides:

- While the send it taking place, my landline is busy and I can not make calls. They are free to send but costing me a fortune in opportunity lost.
- I must create a cover page using Word, print it, then throw it away. (wastes effort. time and laser toner)

Is there a way for me to get my PC to send faxes over the Internet? Would this require a distinct piece of hardware?

Are there outside services that offer free end services? (I figured I ask, but do not know why they would be free)

I could get a dedicated fax line to keep fax and phone distinct, which would help. The monthly fee for a new line is not free, but at least has a fixed value, not based on the number of faxes I sent.

we want to implement electronic signatures for documents that our sales team sends out.  I have research DocuSign developer website briefly and found some rest APIs and SDKs that seem like they would accomplish our goals.

I wanted to see if any of you experts out there have been through a similar situation and if so what worked for you.  I really would like to find the best fit for our needs.  Thanks!

I have a got a list of files in a folder text file with names like this:
baseFile_03_17_2017 .txt
baseFile_04_17_2017  .txt
baseFile_05_17_2017  .txt

Keep in mind>> there is no date column within each the text file.

 I want to a do a SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services)  loop where I loop through each file and insert it into a stage table which has an extra empty “Reportdate” column at the very end.

The SSIS job then gets the date from the file name and inserts it into the very last “ReportDate” column in that stage table


How do I do that?

I have a PowerPoint presentation and need people with a Mac to use it. So I thought that Office.com could help.

Is this website only where I can DOWNLOAD PowerPoint? Or can I RUN PowerPoint presentations on Office.com?

The version of this PowerPoint file is recent, within the last few years.

Will installing 365 really wipe out all other versions of Office?

We're running training as part of rollout of Office365 do we need to install Office 2016 proplus over the existing copy of Office or can we can uninstall older versions of Office reboot and install Office 2016. We have windows and mac users.

Will we lose contacts , auto complete etc (as far as I know there are no nicknames in Office 2016)

Strange the fonts only change in Outlook on the remote device. Fine when I'm working remote however when I get into the office it's hard to work in Outlook on my desktop.  

To clarify only Outlook fonts are smaller everything else has not changed.

has different "PDF Fixup" options than the ones described on this link.

Or that's what I think the issue is. When using Excel I see this message. The file is stored on my OneDrive account.

When I try and log into 365 to satiate the nag screen with my Office 365 accouint, from which this version of Office Premium was downloaded and installed,  I get this message.

I can access the OneDrive account perfectly otherwise.

What's the solution?

We have one Win 7 64-bit computer that is giving us errors when using Adobe Acrobat Standard 2017.  One error we get is ‘There was an error while reading a stream.’  This happens when we are importing and indexing PDF documents into our document imaging system.  We are also getting an ‘Out of Memory’ error at times when doing this same process.  We have uninstalled and reinstalled the software.  We have other users on different computers using the same software and doing the same process with no errors at all.  Google searches have not given me any help.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks

I have a Word doc that's 258MB and when I Save As a PDF it gets inflated to over 700 MB. But, I had someone help me with the layout and that person exports to PDF where the file size is about 6 MB.

What's going on?

When I use Save As PDF I get this error on many sections and have clicked Yes, since this is a trial run. But I hope to create a printable book version very soon.

How do I find the spots which are outside the printable areas?

I have a Word Document for my book and need to tweak the style of the pages on the left side versus the right side uniquely.

I have odd number pages appearing on the right, so the start of the chapter, as well as page 1, are on the right side. The binding means those pages require a bit more left margin than they need on the right margin. Opposite constraints needed for even number pages.

How do I configure this?

I'm looking for a URL to download Office 2016 Professional Plus (from the Volume License Service Center).

A customer has provided me with an Office 2016 Professional Plus Volume License Service Center activation key and needs this product installed on several computers.

The problem is that while I have been able to download and install Office 2016 Professional Plus from the Microsoft website when I try to activate it using this VLSC product number activation key I receive the error message shown in the screenshot "This product key is for the volume-licensed version of Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2016, which isn't currently installed. To use this product key, contact your administrator." (see the screenshot--The product key has been whited out).

So please provide me with a URL address of where I can download the Office 2016 Professional Plus (from the Volume License Service Center).

A non Microsoft URL will be fine.

I am updating an old resume and found I needed to remove a logo from the footer.

But I do not think it's part of the Footer, per say. I notice the logo prints on alternate sides of the page. And when I open the Footer menu, that logo image file is not there.

How do I remove this from the bottom of all pages?

I am considering a small mass emailing to promote my new book. But I do not have the technology yet to validate who has opened the email and who has not.

I once use MailGun and found that had a great technology for that kind of validation.

Does anyone have suggestions about what other things are important when validating the response rates from a mass mailing?

I need to track:
- conversion rate of a purchase, based upon the number who saw the email
- I need to know who saw the email so I could consider sending it a second time to those who did not see it the first time

What else?

What tools exist? Free is better.

I am considering Zoho because of its ability to trace whether the email was opened.
