Is there a way to be able to tell what users are logging on directly to one lpar using client acces, and the users who are using STRPASTHR from another lpar?  We have one lpar that users are only supposed to be using STRPASTHR and not logging on directly, I need to find out who they are and make sure they only use STRPASTHR.  Have googled, but can't find anything.

An office of 9 Macs. All up to date OS wise. All are joined to the domain xxxxxx.local and can log on and authenticate as domain users.

Connecting to the server to access a share  brings this message: There was a problem connecting to the server. URLs with the type "smb:" are not supported.

Only happening on one Mac. Any ideas? I've removed it and re-added it to the domain fine!!! It picks up and IP address just fine but SMB seems problematic. I had been fine for the past 10 days since I bought and installed it...

Hi,
I am using Outlook 2016 version 1711 (build 8730.2175). My OS is Windows 10 Pro.
CPU I5, 8 GB Ram.
I use Kaspersky AV.
I have 4 IMAP accounts, two of them on same IMAP server.
After a few minutes, Outlook "freezes" and I am forced to kill it through task manager.
It seems my error occours during email composition.
I tried:
- disable Kaspersky plugin "Anti-Virus addin"
- completely uninstall Kaspersky
- disable other addition components ("Microsoft SharePoint Server Colleague Import Add-in" and "Microsoft VBA for Outlook Addin").

No way.
It is still crashing.

The error I get in Event Viewer is: "The program OUTLOOK.EXE version 16.0.8730.2175 stopped interacting with Windows and was closed"

I have a PowerEdge T620 with a PERC H710 with 4 physical disks (and 1 hot spare) in a RAID 5 configuration.

See attached screen-shots for disk layout.

I'm running out of space on the C: drive, however (thankfully) the data on E: is not needed.  I'm guessing since it's adjacent to C:, this makes it easier to re-size the C: drive.  Note that the data on D: is important, and can't be lost.  I do have backups, but would prefer not to "need" them.

What's the proper way to take the space on the E: drive and incorporate it into the C: drive?

Have a 2008 windows domain and am looking to add a storage server to house graphic files that need to be shared between MAC's and PC's (Windows 7 pro). Not sure what OS to install on the new server? Windows/Ubuntu/Samba (the new server is a Dell box so IOS is not an option.) Is there a better option?

i have AIX 6.1 operation system on IBM Power 740. There are configured Mirroing rootvg. the aix not loading. I get error 555. PLS help.

My OS is win 10 pro 64 bit and one of my online sites I visit to make a purchase wants my DL ID, and further they want to activate my web camera so that they could take a picture of myself, my identity.  This site is for bitcoins.  The present small camera is a Logitech HD 720P.  The site says that the picture is not that good enough to compare with the  jpeg license I uploaded.  Thus the need to purchase a better one that would do the job, with the cost bearing in mind. I have installed openNMS in windows 10 computer and wanted to set threshold of windows server with email notification if it goes high. I have googled a lot but failed to find help for windows OS.

Does anybody can help me, how to set threshold of windows server (IBM Server) for CPU, Memory etc. Is there any step by step guide to set threshold for windows server using openNMS?

I do have only windows environment in my company.

Unable to boot new Fedora linux or Windows with new installation, after Fedora 27 was installed:

I have 2 one Terabyte each hard drives in my system:
Hard Drive 1:     /dev/sda1  has Windows 7 on it
                          /dev/sda3 has Fedora 27 installed

Hard Drive 2:    /dev/sdb1   is a 2TB NTFS Storage partition with no operating system on it.

I was trying to fix the problem with 'Boot Repair Disk' from

This is what it is telling me, and I don't know what this means:
Enable Grub Repository Message
Would I need to do it from Fedora 27 running from a boot DVD?

How would I do it from the command line there?

What else can I do to make my system bootable?

Hi One of my disks failed in my RN10400 device, i have replaced the disk but now the error above appears. There are 4 disks in a raid 5 . I can't get into the OS - i have tried reinstalling this.
 anyone have an idea how i can get this back working or recover the data?

On many physical servers with different make (Fujitsu, IBM, HP) and with different OS (Windows Server 2K8R2 - W2K12R2) EMC networker base backup fails with error in events something like:
Volume Shadow Copy Warning: VSS spent 0x0000000000000028 seconds trying to flush and hold the volume \\?\Volume{cd4a4af1-2589-4872-9a94-7038f7c2c8df}\.  This might cause problems when other volumes in the shadow-copy set timeout waiting for the release-writes phase, and it can cause the shadow-copy creation to fail.  Trying again when disk activity is lower may solve this problem.

However if same Full Backup, File/Folder level backup, System State, Bare Metal backup from Windows Backup tool works fine without any issues.

Anyone can suggest, if any idea on how to fix this?

We have a few users who are using Outlook 2016. When they perform a search in email for a particular email, the results are not updating. Entries are only showing since Jan 2, yet they can view messages from today.

Anyone experience this issue with 2016?

Percentage  % Comp memory at OS level reached  98 in topas report, but DB2 memory utilization is 80 percent around from
db2pd -dbptnmem.

Can you pls give some inputs to reduce the % Comp memory usage with out rebooting the Server.

I started experiencing this issue with our DAG a few weeks ago.

My Servers:
EX1 - DB3 DB4
EX2 - DB1 DB2
EX3 -

I have a 3 member dag with 4 DB's. Last night I attempted to activate DB3 and DB4 on EX3 so I could do OS updates on that server. We have a DNS round robin which appears to be working just fine. When I attempted to move them I get the following error:

So I just moved all 4 DB's to EX2 and updated EX3, and EX1. When I was done updating those servers I was unable to activate DB's on EX1 now and could move them to EX3. So I moved them all to EX3, and Restarted EX2, now I am unable to mount them on EX2 but I can mount them on EX1.

Has anyone ever experienced this before I am kinda lost.

Troubleshooting I have done:
Checked DAG Copy Status, Healthy.
Index Status, Healthy.
Replication Status, Healthy.
Event logs on all the EX all healthy not showing errors.

Trying to upgrade to Mac OS Sierra from El Capitan.

Start the install by copying file to local desktop, double clicking the file and install starts fine.
After the first install wizard starts, and all ready to restart, mac then just hangs with blank screen with mountain backdrop and no menu bar and wont restart, even if left overnight.

Have tried several times to install.
Tried running first aid several times to check disk, this runs ok and then you click on done, restart the mac and try the install again but no joy.
Tried enabling 'root' user but install doesn't even start.
Tried deleting files in '/library/launchagents' and '/librarylaunchdaemons'

Can anyone shed any light on this issue of a way to install sierra please?.

i was running an offline dism  command to repair an OS that would not boot Windows 10

so i'm looking for an explanation - of course there is a wim, and even an esd file on the stick

We had a client upgrade their AS400 OS from 5.4 to 7.1.  Their QNTC was writing to a 2003 server.  We have an AS400 routine that converts files to PDF, writes them  to a QNTC path and then the website reads them. It was working fine before the upgrade. Now it give a "file not found" error. When I open up iNavigator and use the same login as the website I cant see any QNTC paths and I was able to see them before the upgrade.  Any thoughts what might be wrong?

Hello.  I have begun setting up StoreFront, version 3.13.0.16017.  Was going great and then all of a sudden the MMC for StoreFront started crashing with the following error (Below).  I have this occurring on a secondary server in which upon initial configuration they were syncing and was successful in the beginning.  Both servers are running Windows 2012 R2 Standard.

I've verified latest updates, tried a few tricks on the web related to browsers, nothing is working.  MMC is working correctly with other snap-ins, tried a few, just StoreFront that crashes.

 I have a network with users running Win7 and Win10 64 bit, both of the operating systems are have Interenet explorer 11 running. However when there try and connect to Citrix gateway via IE there page cannot be display even when there try and view the site in compatibility mode. I would appreciate any assistance with this

Hey guys,
I am having a weird issue with trying to setup a RAS connection for Parallels.  Whenever I or the user would try to setup the connection, the app would just say not responding and not actually add the connection.  I have tried the following things:
Uninstalling, renaming all folder associated with Parallels, removing all registry entries associated with it, running ccleaner and reinstalling
The issue was still happening
I successfully made the connection on my computer, which verifies that the settings are correct
I tried logging in as another user and I still had the same issue
I checked task manager and performance monitor and the resources were normal

The OS is Windows 10 Home and it is 64 bit.  I am totally stumped on this one.  Please help.

We are using Wyse 3040 thin OS in our environment and experiencing an issue where USB sticks & CD/DVD drives are not detecting on 3040's. The connectivity of the flash drive on the 3040 is very hit or miss, depending on which Citrix Server the user connects to. on few devices we can see USB is detecting and others not. Can someone help me on this issue.

I have successfully generated new certificates for tomcat services and they are installed correctly.  They both show the correct new expiration date (10/22/2019) in the certificate list from within Cisco Unified OS Administration.  In order to implement them, I used ssh to the console and restarted the tomcat service with "utils service restart Cisco Tomcat"

The problem I am running into is that when starting Cisco Jabber client, it complains about the old certificate being expired (from 12/22/2017).  It is not being issued the new certificate that I see is installed within the certificate store in Cisco Unified OS Administration.

Is there anything else I need to do to tell the system to issue the new cert to the clients?  The 12/22/2017 cert doesn't exist and has been replaced by regenerating the certificate with the new expiration date of 10/22/2019.  I thought restarting tomcat was all I needed to do but I guess not.
