I'd like to have a chat client which supports WhatsApp and other providers on my pc, but which is a little more discrete then the flashy WhatsApp web interface.

We run an exchange server on-premise in New Zealand. We have a branch office in the USA. For years I have used ActiveSync to connect their Outlook to our Exchange remotely (using TeamViewer for the initial setup). Now we have a new user in the USA and their PC uses Outlook 2019. I cannot make this connect to Exchange. I know that Outlook 2019 doesn't use ActiveSync anymore but nothing else I try can make it connect either. I have checked the Auto Discover using the Microsoft Remote Connectivity Analyser and it seems to be functioning ok.
What else should I be trying? Can I buy a license for Outlook 2016 or earlier? Is there a registry setting I can change for Outlook 2019 to make the ActiveSync work?
How to change the location for Documents, Desktop etc to a different drive

I added a second "Data" partition on my PC.  Now I'd like to change the location of Documents, Desktop, etc to that new partition.  I know how to right-click on Documents, choose, Location, and edit the setting.  But in the past I've had issues where I set it to D:\ and then couldn't change it to anything else later.

Is there a procedure for "Best Practices" in this regard?  e.g. create a Docs folder - d:\Docs and then use that for the location of the library file "Documents"?

My goal is to have all my data on the D: drive, so that if necessary later on I can re-install the OS without affecting most of my data.

Windows 10

Thank you

I would like to know how to do a network setting on VMWare Workstation.

■Windows 10 Pro (64bit)
■VMWare Workstation 15 Pro (Ver 15.5.1)
■Added 2 NIC cards on the PC (ST1000SPEX2L)
■Installed "Realtek - Ethernet Diagnostic Utility"
■Two Linux Virtual machines are on VMWARE Workstation

Here are what I would like to do:
*Please refer to the attachment file.
1)  Each Linux machine needs to connect with "Specialized Monitor"s using PC NIC 2 or 3.
2) There two monitors need to connect to "Central Server" through internet access using PC NIC1 in order to download "program".l
3) There is a network setting of the Linux machine:  two Ethernet Network Card (for global and private address)

I am not sure how to do the setting:
1) "Network adapter" setting on Virtual machine.
Should I config using Bridge with physical network connectivity. Is so, which of the "VMnet" number should I use?
How about another virtual machine setting? what is the difference? what is  "VMnet" number?
2) "Virtual Network Editor" setting:
How I should configure on here? VMWare-Workstation---2-VM-connecting.pdfLinux Network card setting       ex.  VMnet 0 and VMnet 1 are configured as Bridge and connecting to PC NIC 2 and 3...

3)  "Realtek - Ethernet Diagnostic Utility"
I assigned VLAN ID 2 as PC NIC2 and VLAN ID as PC NIC3 for now.

I appreciate it if you can tell me the step by step instruction. If you have the VMWare Workstation screenshots, that will be helpful.
Yesterday, I uninstall the MS office 2016 pro and restart the PC.
After the Win 10 PC start up , I could not find the Win10-login-screen.
Today, another PC ,  I also uninstall the Dreamweaver 2020 and then restart the PC,
it cannot show the WIN10-login-screen.

I had tried 1)reboot or Ctrl+Alt+Del
                   2) Restore back to previous point
                   3) dsim ,
  but in vain.

Please help!
I have a win10 pc that was hacked, we had it cleaned and all the malwarebytes and norton scans show clean but we are having strange things like, programs being stopped (malwarebytes, norton, and system mechanic) outlook rules being setup to reroute the inbox to RSS feeds, etc. Is there any way I can tell if there is something that is letting someone obtain unauthorized access to the pc?
My client has an HP Omen 880-1xx desktop pc running Windows 10 home. This has 16GB of Intel Optane memory and a 2TB regular mechanical hard drive.  I want to replace this with a Samsung NVME drive that will go into the Optane memory slot.  I'm thinking I will create an image of the current configuration onto a regular Samsung 860 EVO SSD then clone that drive onto the NVME drive.  I tried booting Acronis True Image but that did not see the Optane accelerated C drive. Are there any tools or a procedure that will allow me to do this?
Can a virus on a windows pc effect my android or Mac cell phone if i open an email from the win 10 pc?
Hi all i dont know if there is a way but i khave a site i have just taken over and it is still running windows 8.1 and i need to upgrade them all to 10, the issues is its over two offices and i cant be bothered driving out to them all, is there a script, powershell, batch, pythen, that i can run to get the pc to do it
I am sent a zip file daily that contains an excel file.  The zip is protected
When I double click on the zip icon/folder I then see the excel icon.  I double click on the excel file.
I am then prompted for a password - I assume this is the zip password as when I open the excel file there is no password protection.  Without the password I can not initially move the file.  It seems once input the password I can do anything I want with the file, without the password I can not open, move, etc.

Every day I am sent the same file (same filename, same password, but different rows of data) and I follow the very same proceed above but it never prompts me to put in a password again.
If I clear all my temp files and shutdown my PC I will then be re-prompted for the password
Why does this behavior occur ?  Shouldn't I be prompted for the password every day when I am sent the file and open the file ?  I only had to input the password the very first day.
Is there an adapter that I can put one of there drives in that will read via usb on a PC?

Or does the PC have to have a controller as well?

Hi All,

I have been tasked with finding what options are available with regards tracking when user start / finish thier day. I know thier PC usage isnt neccasirly an accurate representation of time spent, but it is what i have been asked to do.

What info is available from AD and how best to get at it. I am specifically looking for first and last logon/logoff in a given day if possible? Any other attributes that may help with the above task?

Thanks for your help.

I have a small site running all windows 10 PCs inside of a windows Domain architecture.
Everything is very very clean Domain.  The site is managed via Solar Winds which is a mature product.
The  Domain Server being used is a 2012 R2 Server product without virtualization.

The rest of the software apps are simply Accounting and Patient Dats.  Its as I have said, a very clean environment.
About 2 weeks ago suddenly each PC started logging off of the network, and going back to lock screen from before logging ive checked everything I can think.  The GPOs are not configured to do any sort of locking out, or logging off.

Ive been racking my head trying to discover what could be the problem.  I know that Microsoft laid out a bad update about 2 weeks ago.  I wondered if maybe this had anything to do with it.    Anyway,  all the PCs are affected, and the issue just came about starting 2 weeks ago.

Any clarity of thought would be appreciated.
I have a new PC with two Displayport connections for my monitors.  My monitors only has a VGA connection and an HDMI connection.  Would it be better to connect the monitors to the VGA connection or the HDMI connection?  I need to purchase the adapters and need to know which would be better to connect to. (VGA to Displayport or HDMI to Displayport).

Thank you

I am trying to do a system image of a windows 10 PC with a 1 Tb ADATA external hard drive.
The process gets stuck at about the 50% mark.  There are 176 GB of data and programs on the
source drive.  What do you think is the cause and what should I do to deal with this problem?
Can Azure be used so that I can give many people access to a windows application?
The many people will be using Macs or PCs.
The users are not related in any way.
The application will create files that need to be private to the user.
I would like to know if I am buying the right SD card for my DSLR Canon T3i. In the chart attached from Amazon it states that my CPU has to have 128GB of RAM. I only have 16 GB. Does that mean I will not be able to use the card to transfer content of the SD card onto my PC. Also what should I look for when buying a SD card? There are so many numbers on it . It gets confusing. Class 10 , The read/write speed, UHS class I, III. I just need something with large capacity and fast transfer to my PC . Also does the image quality of pictures or video depends on the camera it self and NOT the SD card. Please help me.

Thank you,

Basem Khawaja

We are undergoing a Security Audit of our internal computer systems by an external 3rd party auditor.
We just rolled out new Windows 10 PCs to 75% of our staff and everything is working great.
We use Ivanti for patch management and all PCs are fully patched with all Windows updates and application security patches.
My question is:
What benefit , security wise, is there in ensuring that Service Packs are all completely up to date?
i.e. Does Windows 10 Service Pack 1909 contain more security patches or benefits if all individual Windows updates and security patches are already up to date?
I'd rather not install the Service Pack since all is working fine.

I am trying to transfer selected emails from Outlook 2016 on one PC to another PC running Outlook 2016 . What is the best method to use
I recently updated Windows 10 to version 1909. Prior to the update I was able to log into my workplace application that uses Citrix with no issue. Now I can log in via wireless connection on my laptop, but cannot log in on my PC that is connected to my home network via ethernet.

I have tried using the compatibility trouble shooter and even when it tried running the application it fails.

After opening up the application, I enter my user Id, password and security code, and a window comes up where I hit a button to connect. In the past, the receiver pulled down an ICA file and a status bar opened up showing the status of the connection. Instead of it progressing to completion, it now stops with "connection in progress" and goes no further. When it finally times out, I get an error stating Unable to connect to the server, there is no Citrix SSL server at the specified address.

As stated before, I can connect via wireless but not ethernet. I am using the same address, log in, etc., on both laptop and PC.
