A Portable Document Format (PDF) is a file format consisting of an electronic image resembling a printed document and can be viewed, printed, and electronically transmitted. PDF files can store various types of data, including formatted text, vector graphics, and raster images. The page layout defines the location, size, and shape of each page and each item on the page. The information looks the same no matter what device or program is used to open it.

I have built 4 reports in Access as part of an Attendance Tracking Database. The reports are all built in a similar fashion with VBA code in the event on open of the report that populate some textboxes. I have also added a button on the report that brings up the built in macro "ExportWithFormatting" to allow the user to save the report as a PDF,

For 3 of the reports when the file is exported to PDF all of the fields populated by VBA code are saved but on the last report when it is saved to PDF the fields which were populated by the VBA code appear blank in the saved version. I am losing my mind as I built them all the same but am getting a different outcome.

Does anyone know why these fields are saving blank to the PDF?

I have a client who is trying to send and excel document in PDF format, the only issue is that the links break once converted to pdf.

This link opens a program.

And i have noticed that its changing characters within the link.

Has anyone else had this issue?

All help is greatly appreciated

I  have Adobe Acrobat DC and used  it to convert HTML files to .pdf, but the resulting i mage seems very small.   How can I get a usable .pdf file or is it possible to convert the HTML file to another format, such as Word?
Does anyone know of a way to increase the font size of PDF so that a 5pt document prints out in 10-12 pt font?  The attached page is 1 page of a 476 page document.

I tried converting it to Word and Excel, but those aren’t viable options when you think of the time it takes to OCR the doc.  Also, the output is horrible and there are so many possible mistakes, it doesn’t bare thinking of it as an option.

I don’t think there’s a way to do it, not even zooming with a copier works.
I have Three pdf files in my windows network drive folder.  The 614 KB opens in Acrobat Reader.

The other Two files are 7,365 KB and 7,525 KB.  Both of these files don't open in Acrobat Reader.  I get the following error from Acrobat Reader:

"There was an error opening this document.  The file is damaged and could not be repaired."   ?
How do I convert a PDF to Excel? When using nitro/converter nothing shows up on the excel document. I also tried saving as plain text and doing text to columns but its not keeping the format of tables in the PDF.
Hi, I am using the program "Go Anywhere MFT" and in order to process an email, I need to open a saved pdf, remove the password protection (We have the password) and re-save the document (overwrite) as a version without the password protection.

GoAnywhere MFT does not have this functionality, but, it can execute programs. So, what I need is a command line executable that will do what we need here, preferably without needing to use third party programs as this needs to be used on a work server.
We have a new HP MFP 477 in our Mac environment running Mac OS Sierra. Scan to PDF is in uncompressed format, resulting in files that are 4 - 6 Mbytes per page. A 3-page document at 200 dpi is running over 12 Mbytes. This is unacceptable and unnecessary as our previous printer, a Lexmark, could pack 30 good-looking pages into 3 Mbytes or less.

We've tried 75 dpi but this doesn't shrink the file size by much, and visually, the result is poor. And yes, we have to scan in color, which again should not be an issue.

I know we can pay $10 per month for Adobe Acrobat and re-save the files but this is also not acceptable, as it requires two stages of processing to email a simple PDF file. Even using Preview to compress files should not be necessary.

We've tried Googling for the solution. We can't find any "Advanced options" button near the PDF option. I also scoured the printer's web page and can't find any settings.

Can we scan to a compressed format? Or should we return this unit for something that works properly? Can it possibly be that HP is shipping a unit that creates PDF files that cannot be emailed without a second stage of processing?
We have several users that get reports emailed to them from a a business system we use.  I have gotten many calls over the last two weeks that when they open the PDF attachment within the IOS mail app it does not show the data.  For example:  the PDF might have blue borders around the fields but the data does not show up.  I have attached two files.  One shows the PDF file within the mail app in IOS and the other is opening the file from the Adobe app on the phone.  I have no idea why this started happening.  The PDF can be viewed fine in the Adobe app on the IOS device and also if they open it on a PC using Outlook that would open it using the desktop version of Adobe reader.  Any suggestions?
this question has been asked before and was answered by Ray Paseur but that was back in 2009 and things change:

I was looking at mPDF and FPDF.

1.      for PDF creation of contact form output.
2.      Must be able to encrypt PDF or use plain PDF
3.      Must be able to provide styling for the PDF

How can I convert an unsearchable PDF file into one that is?

I’m searching a good service that can convert PDF to OCR. It would be a plus if we can rotate image.

I found these services:

But the above services are not satisfying my customer. Do you know other better free Tool’s or free online service’s?

Many thanks in advance.
I'm volunteering with an organization that requires that each chapter submit a yearly report - except it's a hard copy form that I'd much rather fill out electronically, print and then submit (I'll be responsible for doing this form for the next 3+ years, with only minimal changes to the report from year to year).

Looking for suggestions on low/no-cost ways to perhaps take a picture of form and convert it to a fillable form.  I've attached a picture of the front and back side of the form.

Thanks, and Happy New Year!

We use google docs to embed PDF and PPT files like this:

Of course "www.anydomain.com" is fictitious but there we have our domain.

But the error message displayed is NO PREVIEW AVAILABLE. However if we replace the file for a PDF works perfectly. What could be the problem with the PPT file types?

I have single license purchased Adobe Acrobat XI Pro version 11.0.18 and Chrome version 55.0.2883.87.  Both installed and running on Windows 10 PC.  Whenever I attempt to convert a web page to PDF I get the message:
 "Conversion Failure
A supported version of Acrobat could not be found. Install a free 30-day trial."

Any ideas?
I'm using Adobe InDesign CS6 when making a magazine (aroud 32 pages). When sending this to the proof-readers, it would be convinient to create a pdf file similar to the spread in InDesign. That is - first cover page on it's own. Then page 2 and 3 side by side and so on - just what you see when reading the magazine on paper. Last page on it's own. Have tried to find a way to do this without success. Any help?

P.S. When sending a pdf to the printer, there are no problems...

Dear All,

I'd like to ask if someone has an experience with the software. Employees in my organization asking to use the software, but I have a  concern regarding security issues. It there any 3rd party that can verify that the software doesn't contain malicious code?

Thank you in advance
All of a sudden 2 computers using outlook 2007 will only forward attachments that have been scanned and emailed to the computers from our copier as winmail.dat files.  The user scans to email and it comes into their inbox just fine, as a pdf file.  Then when they forward it all recipients receive it as winmail.dat.  This just started to happen.  Other users in the office who have outlook 2007 do not have this issue.
Is it the HTML plain text format that is causing this?
