Hi Experts

I am having a problem trying to diagnose a problem I have with a simple high side switching circuit that is on a PCB. It works fine on a breadboard. The schematic is below. RL is a placeholder to where the rest of the circuit goes. The rest of the circuit I dont think matters because there should be no current draw if the mosfet if off. Please see attached schematic.
It is supposed to work like this. I have a microcontroller controlling the power to the circuit. To turn on the power I set the IO pin high and the Mosfet to M1 turns on and so grounds the gate of M2 and so switching M2 on. This all works fine.

The problem is that when I set the GPIO low I get 0V at the output of RL but if I measure the curent draw its around 150mA. This should be 0 or maybe just a few uA. Shorting R2 to ground has no difference.

I am having trouble finding out out to troubleshoot this and why this would be. Any help in how I can find the problem would be great.

Are these symptoms indicative of a faulty mosfet or something else.

Thanks!

Vgs = 20.5  If somebody could walk me through how they have arrived at the Answers A. 4.7mA an B. 9.2mA  please would be greatly appreciated.

My daughter's kindle has an sd card. It says that pictures, videos and books will store on the sd card but they're taking up a lot of space in her internal memory. I have it set to store everything on the sd card that the kindle will allow and yet, I'm constantly having storage issues.

hi everyone,
i'm trying to start a project for a box storage facility, i know thing allready have been done but i would like to do mine :)

the code is not the problem but the electronics yes. The problem is not U = Ri :) but how can i mux the doors sensors ? If some one open the door very fast and then close what would happen ... is important not to miss the change of state ...

So any idea is really welcome

Thanks very much

I was wondering if someone here knows if it's possible to play the contents of a directory on a USB on a Sony Bravia TV. So far I've only been able to play one video file at a time.

I've searched around and the best I could find was someone recommending an external video player but I was wondering if the functionality was available in the TV itself.

If it is possible, my next question would be if you can also play all files in a loop.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,
I am working on the project, in which, four MSP430 boards are connected with
PC through USB HUB. In software, CDC USB communication will be used for
all MSP430.

I want to know is, how can I write host software in Visual Basic 6.0 for CDC
USB communication with this controller?

I am aware of serial communication, but new at USB communication in VB6.0.
Though I can detect device through sysinfo control in VB6, but I am not able
to send-receive data from/to PC-microcontroller.
Can you guide me how to do it?
Is there any example available for CDC class using VB 6?

Second thing, in VB6, when I am searching com ports through mscomm, I can find the port of PC which had name "USB Serial Port". i.e. it is not able to find the port which had name in device manager " VIrtual COM Port". Is there any solution for it?
Thanks in advance

I am curious if anyone has experience with this model. Is there any reason that the device would work with a CICSO CP8945 telephone but not work with the Shoretel 560?  We have several that do function properly so I configured all of the switches and dials on this one exactly the same.

I reset the device and then paired again.  It does take the phone off hook and back on hook using the button but there is no audio and the microphone does not appear to work.   I also connected my working headset to an analog phone and heard dial tone, but the same connection did not work with the Cisco headset.

I was wondering if there might be a version unique to the Cisco phones.
