A printer is a peripheral which makes a persistent human readable representation of graphics or text on paper or similar physical media. Traditional printers are being used more for special purposes, like printing photographs or artwork, and are no longer a must-have peripheral; 3D printing has become an area of intense interest, allowing the creation of physical objects. An image scanner is a device that optically scans images, printed text, handwriting, or an object, and converts it to a digital image. Hand-held scanners, where the device is moved by hand, have evolved from text scanning "wands" to 3D scanners used for industrial design, reverse engineering, test and measurement, orthotics, gaming and other applications.

We have a windows server 2003 Print server , i have added a new ptinter yesterday , since thenwe experiencing a slow printing for some terminals in our sales department  to the

the printers from the same modell hp laserjet M452

I have tried to change the driver to pcl , delete the connection from  client ot server then readd it .

add the printer with ip address , all that have not work .

Restart the spooler , the server,

the print jobs get stuck in the spooler for 3-4 minutes before are printed .

Having these  lasers with 5 papertrays  for input
only 1 output bin

I print mutiple  sets of documents per document  setting a papertray  due to different color in paper
then the colors must stay together in output bin
if I start printing right away they are unsorted by color in output bin

I  print  some  50 documents to  printers called BLEU, WHITE , GREEN ,YELLOW,PINK wich are installed copies of same printer
with each having their preferred  tray

Thus printing to each printer based on tray

Now by hand BEFORE starting print job I set  all printers to offline
then start printing
all output will be in  each printer buffer on hold

Then by hand turn one by one the printer online again after a set in each named printer is empty
this way all colors are on output bin  together

so to make it automatic i need a  programmable  way ,   to turn printers on and off line
printer is a  Kyocera ECOSYS P3260dn KX

Print Drivers Install with Script

I have used the windows default printer scripts to add printer to remote computer, it works fine. However it does not seem like it installs the specified driver properl.

when I check printer properties it throw a communication error, but still open printer properties, everything seems to be configured as it is supposed to. However when I click to print test page it just freezes.

I would like to know if anything missing and needed to be  added in addition to these scripts:
prnmngr.vbs and prnport.vbs

Probably I need to select "Replace the driver" via script
Thank you

I am having trouble locating how to change the default sender when using scan to email on a RICOHMP C3004.   Any scans that are sent to anyone internally from the printer show a user by the name of Rose as the sender.   I am logged into the admin portion of the printer however I would like the default sender to say Ricoh Email or something other than her as the sender.   Can someone tell me where in the general settings I can make this change?

Hello,

I have a list of Windows 10 machines in a text file that I need to remove a printer named "Prt-lkm" from.

I need Powershell to loop through each machine in the list and remove that printer. I have tried a couple of iterations, but I'm missing something in each.

What is the best way to do this?

I’ve got an epson TM-U220B printer, that’s used with restaurant specific software to print orders. printer is supposed to (& normally does) print most things in black & special additions, etc., in red, but recently started printing everything in red! switching ribbons doesn’t help, as it prints right at first & then, print will go to a combination of red & black & eventually to all red. printer is physically about an hour away from me & is a network printer, so I didn’t want to do anything too drastic, like reset to factory settings, if at all possible.
any idea what could be causing this?

Hello Experts
I am printing a receipt using a visual c sharp and an EPSON thermal POS printer.

In order to print the logo, I am using the following lines that work just fine.
            Bitmap bm1 = new Bitmap(pictureBox1.Width, pictureBox1.Height);
            pictureBox1.DrawToBitmap(bm1, new Rectangle(0, 0, pictureBox1.Width, pictureBox1.Height));
            e.Graphics.DrawImage(bm1, hx, hy, wi, he);
            bm1.Dispose();

And because I used an image
I continue printing each line of text as an image
as follows.
            // text
            hy += (he+s2);wi = 300; he = 20;
            Bitmap tit1 = new Bitmap(wi,he);
            pictureBox5.DrawToBitmap(tit1, new Rectangle(0, 0, wi, he));
            e.Graphics.DrawImage(tit1, hx , hy, wi , he);
            tit1.Dispose();

The thing is most of the time I need to print several items and the printing is longer than the height of A4 paper size.
my printing is being truncated when the limit is reached.

How can I make receipts longer than the height of A4 ?

HP 8210 printer color prints have red color cast

My HP 8210 printer color prints have red color cast, any size, any image.

I exchanged all ink (with new) cartridges 1 by 1, reprinted to same (4X6 on 8X10 regular paper) - same issue.

Printed Swift Publisher 5 document - text/color background - 10 text blocks each with different color background - Results reasonably OK. Some slight color shift no other printing artifacts.    OS X Mojave.

Seems the issue is only with photographs - any ideas why?

I have an HP Envy 5000 Series Printer, HP9DE06E.

It has been gradually degrading, I'm sure it is less than a year old. It now has reached the point of not printing at all.

I'm using Windows 10, wireless connection.

A week ago, it would not print, so I de-installed it & re-installed it, it worked then. Now it won't do that. I tried that today, sent a doc for print, didn't print, removed it from the Queue, tried to print a test page, get this error on the printer screen: Error Code 0XD8077900 KERNEL_EXEC_ST.

Any ideas?

Thank you.

We have a odd issue that has only started a couple of days ago. We have tried to do some troubleshooting to find the route of the issue but to no avail.

What happens is all printers and photocopiers go offline and then come back online for a few seconds, then they go off line again. The print server is running windows Server 2008, this sits in a 192.168.10.0/24 subnet and all printers and photocopiers sit on a 192.168.11.0/24. These are all communicating on vLan channel 11 but since Monday this sporadic behavior has occurred. We have Dell switches which are stacked but this isn't consolidated to one area of the network its an issue across all switches, We have rebooted the stakes and checked the vLan config but it all looks OK. If you ping a printer from the print server over a 30 minute period we get a 89% failure rate.

Would welcome any guidance and thoughts as to what we can try as we have inherited the network.

the thing is that drawing text looses a little quality,
and the result Is not as clear as when I print text in text mode.

Is it possible, print just normal text after the logo in the same print document ?
or if I have to continue with this graphic mode what are the appropriate fonts to use when drawing text ?

this are the commands of my PRINT button
        private void Button1_Click(object sender, EventArgs e)
        {
            PrintDialog pd = new PrintDialog();
            PrintDocument doc = new PrintDocument();
            doc.PrintPage += Doc_PrintPage;
            pd.Document = doc;
            doc.Print();
        }

Please your help on this.

Windows 10 Printer Properties Menu Option Missing

One of my clients has several computers where the "Printer Properties" menu option is missing from the pull-down menu when you right-click a printer icon under the Devices and Printers menu of the Control Panel. Printer Properties is missing.
Actually several menu options are missing:   See what's Printing, Set as default printer, Printer Preferences, and Printer Properties are all missing.

I have been putting up with this problem for over a year, and it keeps occurring more frequently. I am using Windows 10.
Sometimes, one of these would work:
1. Unplug the printer, wait 20 seconds, then plug it back in.
2. Rebooting the router.
3. Rebooting the computer.
4. Tried to setup a static IP for the printer. Not sure I did that right.
The last week nothing is resolving the problem.
Error message below.

I have a Dymo Labelwriter 400 Turbo attached to one of my workstations, WIN25,   A Dymo Labelwriter 450 is connected to another of the workstations, WIN1.   When I use Dymo Connect on WIN25 to try to print a label, the only choice is the Labelwriter 450 on WIN1.   I have chosen the correct size of label, but I still cannot print on the Labelwriter 400 Turbo.

Hi

We need to calculate the final payroll Journal, unfortunately the figures for PAYE has to come from the extensive and complicate cumulative basis calculations. Now all I want here is to find out the following:

(1)      How to put the Salary journal report consolidating all the PAYE by staff in the report footer
(2)      Hide the detail part which shows calculation by staff, so that when printing only the staff on the report footer should show.
(3)      The details part of the report will have all the calculations for the staff to supply the footer report or act as the recordset but must be hidden so that only the report footer shows only.

Regards

Hello All,

I’m having problems installing a Local printer port via script. For years I’ve used scripts like below.
Creates Port:
cscript %windir%\system32\printing_admin_scripts\en-us\prnport.vbs -a -r "IP_1.1.1.1" -h "1.1.1.1" -o raw

Open in new window

Installs Printer to above specified port:
rundll32.exe printui.dll,PrintUIEntry /if /b "Printer Name" /f “Printer Driver Path\file.inf" /r "IP_1.1.1.1" /m "Printer XXX"

Open in new window

I’ve used this successfully for decades, it keeps everything exactly the same and saves tons of time.

My problem:
I need to make a nul printer, which I can do manually no problem, but I’ll be damned if I can figure out how to make a local nul port with a script.
This works fine if I manually make the Nul Printer through the gui:
rundll32.exe printui.dll,PrintUIEntry /if /b "NullPrinter" /f "%windir%\inf\ntprint.inf" /r "nul:" /m "Printer XXX"

Open in new window

but I would rather not have to create the NUL: port manually on 300 systems if possible.

The problem I’m sure is the” –h” switch,  which tells it there is an IP address. If I run it like:
cscript %windir%\system32\printing_admin_scripts\en-us\prnport.vbs -a -r "nul:" -h "nul:" -o raw

Open in new window

It does create the port, but it creates it as a Standard TCP/IP port which of course is not what I need and does not function as a NUL port. I’ve tried every variation of syntax I can come up with and none seem to work. I’ve looked for the last couple of hours on the internet and everything always references creating an IP port not a Local Port like NUL.

Any help would be great.
Thanks

I have a mass Kyocera scanner copier on our network that has a scanner.   I am mapping a folder on everyone's Windows 10 computer to the printer so that people can scan to folder directly on their computers from the copier.  The configuration is mainly the same on all computers.  I have successfully executed the scan to folder setup from the scanner to the computer for some of the users.  On other computers, there seems to be something blocking the process.  I'm at a loss at this point as to what could be preventing the scanner from accessing the folders on some of these computers.  Is there a way to troubleshoot this issue and see what the problem is?  I know it has to be something on the computer I think.
