A programming language is a formal constructed language designed to communicate instructions to a machine, particularly a computer. Thousands of different programming languages have been created, mainly in the computer field, and many more still are being created every year. The description of a programming language is usually split into the two components of syntax (form) and semantics (meaning). Some languages are defined by a specification document (for example, the C programming language is specified by an ISO Standard), while other languages (such as Perl) have a dominant implementation that is treated as a reference. Some languages have both, with the basic language defined by a standard and extensions taken from the dominant implementation being common.

When running the below code in Excel VBA, two Internet Explorer Certificate messages appear. They specifically appear when it gets to  the fifth line (i.e., ".send".) What VBA code do I add to the below code to make it physically navigate the two certificate messages I mentioned above? (i.e., 'Click Enter, Tab, Enter etc.,)

Keep in mind that this can be kind of tricky, because VBA pauses as soon as the certificates appear and continues only after the certificates are navigated. I was thinking maybe there is a way to force the certificates to appear without VBA pausing and somehow using API to navigate them. (Pictures of the Certificates are attached.)

Dim vGetHttp
Dim vUrlLink as string   '<-----https link designated by the user.
Set vGetHttp = CreateObject("MSXML2.XMLHTTP.6.0")
vGetHttp.open "Post", vUrlLink, False
vGetHttp.send  '<----------------Internet Explorer Certificates appear after this line initiates.

Hi,
The chart in the beginning part of page, is not being shown properly with the data from the table
http://my-friend.co/HouseList4/Default.aspx?userid=mc1

what can be the reason of problem? Here are the codes to create the chart

                string query = "select [house_sch].dbo.getletter(ROW_NUMBER() OVER (ORDER BY house_id)) house_name, price from [house_sch].[dbo].[house_tab] order by house_id";
                DataTable dt = GetData(query);

                string[] x = new string[dt.Rows.Count];
                decimal[] y = new decimal[dt.Rows.Count];
                for (int i = 0; i < dt.Rows.Count; i++)
                {
                    x[i] = dt.Rows[i][0].ToString();
                    y[i] = Convert.ToInt32(dt.Rows[i][1]);
                }
                BarChart1.Series.Add(new AjaxControlToolkit.BarChartSeries { Data = y });
                BarChart1.CategoriesAxis = string.Join(",", x);

I'd like to write a Lambda function that fetches a (1) CloudWatch Metric (that is already being monitored at every 5 minutes), (2) divides that value by 300 seconds and (3) pushes to CloudWatch as a Custom Metric.

The CloudWatch metrics already being monitored are "Volume Read Ops" and "Volume Write Ops" on a could different active EBS volumes.

I have no every on using Java or Python for this.

Thanks for your help or pointing me in the right direction.

Hi, in Python
It is not totally obvious, to me, how my abstract bass class for my RTS client should look... Threading included
In Java, it is as below, what would it look like in Python? processNewGameState() is the abstract method
Thread - Do I make my own method called run and call it from the __main__ region?

import java.io.*;
import java.net.*;
import java.util.Random;

public abstract class GSclient extends Thread{

int clientCount=0;
	int clientCountExpected;
	public static int SERVER_PORT_BASE=1027;
	public static byte MSG_HELO=1;
	public static byte MSG_START=5;
	public static byte IN_GAME_MSG=4;
	public static byte GAME_MSG_MOVE=8;
	public static byte GAME_MSG_CREATE=16;
	public static int MSG_SIZE = 4098;

	public abstract void processNewGameState();
	public GSclient(int cliNum, InetAddress serveraddress) {

		clientNumber=cliNum;
		serverAddress= serveraddress;

		start();
	}

Open in new window

My run() Thread method will receive incoming game-state messages and call the process method on each.
I assume the TCP and UDP receiving and analyzing code won't be too out-there
I can do the client networking, no problem.

Thanks

Hi

If I put my keyboard listening in pygame in my drawing/game loop, it obviously won't be checked constantly.
I must obviously have a Thread listening for keyboard input, mouse movement to play my game and update internal game variables.

Is this just a new class I must make with two methods each to listen to pygame keyboard/mouse activity. Case closed?

Thanks

Hi,

After updating Windows 10 Pro  to 1709 version an old cobol program no longer works properly. I already tested it and verified that the program works without problems in previous version of Windows.
The program runs with an old RmCobol runtime 10.01 version. The problema is in some tasks like disk operations or creating some reports the app slow down. The same tasks delay more than 20 times.

best regards

I have a client that needs to delete two transaction expenses from a program called Cuncur. His employer does not give delete rights. Is there a way that this can be done?

Need to implement Spring Security for a project.

Option1:

  Structure: User table, Permission table, Module table and PermissionGroup table
  User will have only one permission group.
  Permission table will have read/write/update etc.,
  Module will be product/sales/order
  Permission group table will be product - read/write, sales - read/write/update

Option2:

 Structure: User table, Roles table, Permission table,
 User can have 1 role
 Permission table will have as product_read, product_write, sales_read, sales_write

Comments on Option2:

 We can able to use Spring hasRole() kind of configuration for each method and can associate a role to it.
 Drawback: We cannot have dynamic roles as we can able to do it option1

Comments on Option1:

We can have dynamic groups however we cannot use spring hasRole(). Instead we need to get the manual decisions based on the http request - PUT/GET/POST and check for the permissions configured and decide whether to allow the URL or not in the interceptor.

Drawback:

This may not be a standard practice
What would be the best approach out of this two as well as preferable one?

Thanks.

Hi,

I finally got Python images to be plopped on the screen, just blitting, a lonely mutalisk, but not flapping.
To make my mutalisk flap its wings in python, or any of my many animated GIF's, for that matter, must I blit them frame by frame? I was surprised it wasn't automatic flapping, like in other situations.

Here is the blit code that finally worked. . .

Hi everyone, can I ask how can I rotate the label of this chart using VBA?

Thank you.

This is my codes:

Private Sub OptionButton1_Click()
ActiveSheet.Range("F2").Select
Dim wks As Worksheet
For Each wks In Worksheets
    If wks.ChartObjects.Count > 0 Then
       wks.ChartObjects.Delete
    End If
Next wks

Dim rng As Range
Dim cht As ChartObject
Set rng = ActiveWorkbook.Sheets("REPORT DATA").Range("D2:AI10")
  Set cht = ActiveSheet.ChartObjects.Add( _
    Left:=ActiveCell.Left, _
    Width:=1180, _
    Top:=ActiveCell.Top, _
    Height:=548)
  If Range("I38") >= Range("K38") Then
  MsgBox "Wrong date value, please check your enrty.", vbCritical, "Error"
  Else
  cht.Chart.SetSourceData Source:=rng
  cht.Chart.ChartType = xlXYScatterLines
  cht.Chart.SetElement (msoElementDataLabelCenter)
  cht.Chart.ChartArea.Format.TextFrame2.TextRange.Font.size = 8
  cht.Chart.HasTitle = True
  cht.Chart.ChartTitle.Text = "LEONARDO - MounterTrace Size with Index Line 1 to 8"
  cht.Chart.Axes(xlCategory).MinimumScale = Range("I38")
  cht.Chart.Axes(xlCategory).MaximumScale = Range("K38")
  cht.Chart.ChartArea.Format.Fill.Visible = msoFalse
  cht.Chart.PlotArea.Format.Fill.Visible = msoFalse
  End If

Hi

I finished our colossal collaboration of a network game with a central server, a while ago. I will convert it to python now that I'm shifting to it as well. Is that unadvisable - python might not be optimal for a game server?

I know that MIT had an RTS AI coding contest, before.
There's also ORTS, open rts
There seem to be many similar links on Google.
The MIT contest was geared to a confusing, un-watchable mess of a game, in my opinion.

Do these types of contests have any traction? now? Any of them non-college?
I have many ideas, some non 3D war.
Thanks

Hi,
I cannot show the message prompt properly, by the following. Why?

                    //$.alert('You clicked OK!');
                }

When I write a program in Perl 6, is it visible to the user, like JavaScript? Or is it compiled into an interim format that is not accessible to the user?

I am considering using Perl for a public facing web page but also for downloadable tool they would run locally.

I hear there is a bin folder, but what exactly goes into this? Is it the .pl file?

Thanks

I need my website to extract the data from a PDF and generate a CSV file. And I hope to do this on the front end, inside the client browser. But, if required, I could to this extraction on the back-end.

The PDF would be a month merchant credit card statement. The data I would extract to a CSV would be the numerous transactions.

What web technology can do this? And without human intervention.

Thanks.

I have no experience with Perl and suspect it may be the best choice of technology for a financial analysis and reporting website I am making. I expect to allow users to upload PDF's or CSV files to my website, which my site will then parse, summarize and generate new reports.

There will be times when my logic needs to access published national standards tables for a specific record with names like:

CPS Retail 2 Max (Developing Markets only)
CPS Retail Key Entered

from a list of thousands of items

So, this is the reason I suspect Perl is a good choice.

Can someone please confirm that and show me why Perl is so good for pattern matching?

Is it a front end or a back end technology? What other technologies often work well with Perl? It is compiled? Or is it a script?

Thanks.

Currently, we have a small team of accountants/bookkeepers whose occasional job it is to carefully review a merchant's credit card statement. The purpose is to find and add up all the charges on that month statement, as many are hidden and hard to decipher. Once the total is found, that amount is divided by total gross credit card sales to find the monthly aggregate transaction rate.

This number can be low, like 2.55%, but can be very high, particularly when sales are low. Monthly fixed charges can cause slow months to cost as mush as 10-12%!

Anyway, currently, experts do this analysis, with an eagle eye developed over decades of doing this. They support over 40 different report types, so they need to make judgement calls, based on their collective experiences. I'd like to harness these skills into a system which can provide instant turn-around for this entire effort.

At first, I would have those same experts be the sole users of this system until they find zero errors for a prolonged period of time and/or for particular report formats.

I am looking for a basic idea of the best technologies to use for this program. I am a C#.NET developer with javascript and some node experience. But I would switch to an entirely different platform, particularly if open sourced frameworks already existed or there were some other advantage of a specific platform.

A key element of this process is pattern matching. For example, in theory, each line item in a merchant's credit …

Can someone tell me what would need to be included in the (I believe)  instance.tf file? Or if I should be working with another file name to instantiate the rule please let me know. I'm new to both AWS and Terraform.
