Quality assurance (QA) is a way of preventing mistakes or defects in products and systems, and avoiding problems when delivering solutions or services to customers. QA is applied to software to verify that features and functionality meet business objectives, and that code is relatively bug free prior to shipping or releasing new software products and versions. Quality assurance comprises administrative and procedural activities implemented in a quality system so that requirements and goals for a product, service or activity will be fulfilled. Two principles included in quality assurance are: "Fit for purpose" (the product should be suitable for the intended purpose); and "right first time" (mistakes should be eliminated).

I'm using JQL (jira query language) to create a custom query filter from Issues.  I want display all keys and links.. but I want to group by or create a sub query to display all links underneath the keys it has relations too.... We can't use a SQL plugin or use Script runner, so I'm trying to find a work-a-round..

Is this at all doable.  We are using JIRA..

Hi!

I can not make SSO with crowd working. I have set up SSO, as desribed in the articles for Jira and Confluence, but can not make it work.

If I log in to Jira with a Crowd User and then change to Confluence I have to log in again.
I have checked the cookies. The Crowd Cookie seems to be there, like you can see here:
Cookie.png
This cookie somehow seems to be ignored on my Jira, Confluence and crowd.

The urls I have set up for Jira, Confluence and Crowd are:
https://jira.braunstein-web.com/
https://confluence.braunstein-web.com/
https://crowd.braunstein-web.com:8096/crowd/

So they all are sharing the braunstein-web.com domain.

The crowd directory for Jira and Confluence is set up correctly with the above url and is working. Just Single Sign On does not work.

The username I use is "armin". This user is inside the groups "jira-administrators", "jira-users", "confluence-administrators", "confluence-users", "crowd-administrators".

On Jira I am using the SSOSeraphAuthenticator, on Confluence the ConfluenceCrowdSSOAuthenticator.

I also tried to switch off the "Require consistent client IP address", but also did not help.

Please find the debugging log of crowd here:

I had this question after viewing Need to kill an application that is auto starting on Windows CE 5.0.

I have a remote device running Windows Embedded CE 6.   I would like to add some bench automation to this unit, but like most target devices ti has an autostart routine that puts an app on a touch screen with limited functions.    I am confident I can get the automation I need if I can only poke around in the file system of the target device.   I am trying to connect to the device remotely with a Windows10 machine, so activesync is out.  I did try a windows XP machine and activesync failed, so the target device is not set up for that.   That leaves TCP/IP I guess and a connection with Visual Studio tools?   Is there a better tool?   VS requires that I install Corecon files to the target, but if I could install files to the target, I would not need Visual Studios.....  The unit can be attached with OEM software to run remotely as well as firmware updates are installed via USB connection, so I am pretty sure there is an agent installed to the target that allows this.   The unit installs to devices under Windows10 as "USB Remote NDIS Network Device".  I apologize for my novice approach here, but I am more of a hardware gy than software.   I am willing to hire this hel pout if anyone knows a contractor that works with embedded windows.     Thanks so much for reading!!

Experts, I am looking for a paid CA Devtest Service Virtualization tutorial online. The tutorial offered by CA requires me to provide a company email address which I can't at the moment. Does anyone have information about any websites that offer the training? Any inputs appreciated.

Hello, I am in the process of coming up with a git work flow for the company.

I have been looking at the classic example of a successful git strategy:  https://nvie.com/posts/a-successful-git-branching-model/

I have two questions:
1. I first wanted to confirm how everything gets started.  I take it, an empty master repository would first be created and the develop would be branched from that master branch?
2. If the company wants a QA branch in addition to all the other branches recommended in the model, my question is how is that best included so it creates less issues down the line?
 - should the qa branch be cut from the master and then develop branch cut from qa?
- should both the qa branch and the develop branches be cut from the master, with merges taking place from develop to qa as needed?

Please note, the reason they don’t prefer to have a qa branch, is to allow cherry picking of the features included in the branch from the develop branch.

Thanks for any direction you can provide..

Trying to write a ClientBuilder based method (Java/selenium tool) that handles the following condition: The Request Body for this api should be of type multipart/form-data and it should have a boundary differentiated between file attached to form and form fields

I have done the mutli Part Content in c# but the group needs to be written in Java. Here's the c# code that works for creating the request body. I just having some mental blocks writting the Java HTTP Client version (could not find any realistic samples out there)

Note: I trying to upload an application/msi or application/ms-dos-exec file via the form. Here's my c# code
		 MultipartFormDataContent multiPartContent = new
		 MultipartFormDataContent("----WebKitFormBoundaryliUiaMuaEcUBLr3A"); ByteArrayContent byteArrayContent = new
		 ByteArrayContent(LogoRequest.Content); byteArrayContent.Headers.Add("Content-Type", "image/png"); String
		 FileName = LogoRequest.Name; String ContentDispositionStr = "form-data; name=" + "\"logoImageFile\"" +"; " +
		 "filename=" + FileName; byteArrayContent.Headers.Add("Content-Disposition", ContentDispositionStr);
		 multiPartContent.Add(byteArrayContent); requestMessage.Content = multiPartContent;

Hi
I'm trying to evaluate a test suite reduction technique on a source code  (named Tcas : a source code from siemenc programs in C language which has generated test cases and can be downloaded from http://sir.unl.edu/php/index.php). It has test cases for statement coverage. There is a file named "sth" which has information about which test case tests which statements.
I have problems in understanding that which test case tests which statements. Because I can't relate test cases with statements. More precisely I have problems in understanding test cases and how to run them on source code.
I have uploaded two files ( tcas.c and sth). "tcas.c" contains source code and "sth" contains statement coverage information for every test in test universe.
if you look at the sth file, there are some numbers. I took an screenshot from a part of sth file to state my problem. it is a screenshot from "ALIM()" function in source code.
I understood that the yellow colored line in screenshot says it is for the third statement of "ALIM" . first question: how statements have been counted? because it seems ALIM has only one statement in the source code.
second question: I have shown other lines with blue circle. I understood that these indicate test cases, but I don't know what those numbers (or characters) mean? why there are 20 columns and 10 rows of numbers and characters?

If anyone have worked with siemenc programs source codes or know any information please help me!

Software quality and testing concepts are frequently puzzled. QA thinks about the assembling procedures and decides the defect in the generation procedure, while testing is the way of reviewing the product at different stages to shield imperfect things from achieving the client.

Has Powershell sent you back into the Stone Age?

If managing Active Directory using Windows Powershell® is making you feel like you stepped back in time, you are not alone.  For nearly 20 years, AD admins around the world have used one tool for day-to-day AD management: Hyena. Discover why.

I will soon be starting a podcast that will ultimately feature 2 or 3 episodes weekly. I travel a fair amount, so I know that having a system in place that would allow me to have automated uploads on certain dates and times would enable the episode updating to be a smooth process.

"Uploads" may be a little off the mark. I already have some cron jobs ON a website (freelanced out, since I am not a techie) that replace existing files on he website each Friday with new ones at a specified day and time on a weekly basis that has run very well for a couple of years now. I upload the new files on Wednesday or Thursday at my convenience and that's all I have to do.

To be sure, the names of the uploaded files are exactly the same as the ones being updated (or simply written over, that is).  I have not yet dug deeper into the names required for podcast files, if there are any such requirements, and want to get an expert view of what I want to do, as described.

I did some searching on Google, but they continue to descend into Internet Hell, insisting on providing search results that do not fit the search terms. On a recent trip. I needed to find a laundromat to do a load or two of laundry and a search on "laundromat" with the city name resulted in a list of DRY CLEANERS! Not even "close but no cigar" as far as I'm concerned.

Hi All,
I am using Graphana on Elasticsearch to show % pass/fail in weekly reports, I can get Pass/Fail  from the Pie chart but not in Stacked bar graph ..
Is there any plugin which i can use to get the pass fail percentage in Bar Graph.

Thanks,

I am using portecle to generate a java store cert for JIRA. I created the keystore, create the key pair, generated the CSR, processed the CSR using third party CA. I then imported the root cert into Portecle. When I import the CA response I get "could not establish trust for the CA reply. The import cannot proceed.
Why is this happening as everything appears correct.
