Computer #1 has the database file and has shared the folder.

Computer #2 has a drive mapped the the database file on Computer #1.

If Computer #1 has a user logged in, while in Multi User Mode, Computer #2 receives a communication error H202.

Computer #2 can access and open the database file in Single User Mode when the User on Computer #2 is not logged into the database.

Computer #2 logs into the database and tries changing to Multi User mode and receives a "Cannot access the database" error, while Computer #1 has no user logged in.

I have run the "quickbooks connectivity tool", and it did not help.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

I'm looking to subscribe to an online service that will provide unlimited access to my credit report & credit score from all three credit bureaus so that I can check this information as often as I want to throughout the year.

I'm also hoping that this service will include "credit calculators" that will allow me to  determine how my credit score will change if I transfer existing credit card and other debt into other accounts or credit consolidation sources.

Please provide me with a list of such online services that will allow me to do these things.

Here is my Perl code:

  my $qbxmlrp_const = Win32::OLE::Const->Load("QBXMLRP2 1.0 Type Library");
  my $request_processor = Win32::OLE->new("QBXMLRP2.RequestProcessor", sub {$_[0]->CloseConnection();}) or die "oops\n";

  $request_processor->OpenConnection2("", $name_reported_to_quickbooks, $qbxmlrp_const->{"localQBD"});

  my $ticket = $request_processor->BeginSession($qb_company_file, $qbxmlrp_const->{"qbFileOpenDoNotCare"});

Open in new window

Is there a PHP equivalent of this?

I have QuickBooks 2015 Accountant Edition and made several changes including templates and other settings.  However I did not have any customer data (Luckily).  My backups for QuickBooks were saved on local drive in my specific folder.

Recently I upgraded my hard drive and reinstalled everything including QuickBooks.  Upon restore of my file from my specific folder all I see is the company info but none of my preferences or templates that I had taken time to configure.  For example Invoice and estimate templates and several other changes.

So what happened along the way?  I am puzzled why I don't see anything else upon restore.

Hi, the error code occurs upon open of the Quickbooks file and requires reboot to get it to coorperate.  I used a full access admin account, ran repairs as suggested, turned off the firewall, and got the same result.

A client wants to be able to continue to use QB 2015 on one computer, then move to a distant office, and use QB 2015 on that computer, and use the same database.

My thoughts turn to (1) remote access to the first computer, or (2) QBOnline. Can a user have QB on two computers to somehow access the same database?

Please help, ASAP!  At Client NOW.

I have a client that is having real trouble with QuickBooks, running very slow at times, but not all the time... intermittent internet issues, with the spinning wheel of windows death...

We were having major issues with slowness, because one workstation, that a person worked on, was the main file for QuickBooks, so we MOVED the main file for QuickBooks to a brand new Dedicated Workstation, no one uses it.  They are sharing the file with 2 or 3 users, we have licensing for all.

We replaced the switch, which was old, put in Wireless Linksys SE3008 & put in Wireless Linksys EA3500, we are using wireless & I have many times before used QuickBooks over wireless with NO trouble... QuickBooks is telling us we need to hard wire, which is really NOT a viable option.

As for internet it goes down intermittent where the wheel just spins & they have to wait & wait for web pages to come up... not necessarily at the same time as QuickBooks issues.

QuickBooks will shut them down intermittently, disconnect them & shut down.

NOT really sure what to check for this intermittent issue internally on the network?  Is there a tool I can run that will show traffic or something that would be causing these issues??

Please help asap, I am at client now... Thanks!

Please provide me with resources the explain US IRS Income Tax brackets.

I need to plan ahead to make sure that I don't make too much that will put me in a higher income tax bracket that will cause me to loose more money than I have earned.

I need to make sure that if I am going to go into a higher income tax bracket that I make enough money during that particular year to justify me paying the higher rate taxes.

A customer has Quick Books Pro 15 license number but doesn't have the Quick Books 15 product number.

This customer also doesn't know what email address, hone number, or address were used when this Quick Books was registered.

What methods can be used to determine the Quick Books 15 Pro product number?

ok so here is my issue gurus.... im setting up office to use quickbooks using terminal services on server 2012 r2 Es .... using the program works great, better than ever ...woohoo... BUUUUUUUT they want to use outlook to send email/invoices/quotes/etc.. inside of quickbooks. but they use outlook on their own desktop as well and thats where the pst is saved of course. upon researching i realize sharing the .pst over lan is a not good idea, or using a mapped drive inside the remote session. i set uo outlook using imap in the remote session but it doesnt send right away and few other issues. so i really dont want to go that route. another thing i think about is, the user having outlook open in the remote session and on the desktop,,,you know how 'they' are ;)

any help would be great and appreciated

I am looking for a solution to this problem.
I am currently trialing a software called BackUpGoo and would just like to see if anyone knows of a better solution that gives email notifications on successful backup or has a better feature set or price.
If anyone has a solution for emailing .txt files when they are added to a set folder this would be useful also.

Thanks,
Robbie

I'm trying to build a spreadsheet to import customers from another application. I have QB2011. When editing addresses, the screen shows City, state,zip. Bbut when constructing the import using column specifications found here: http://support.quickbooks.intuit.com/support/pages/inproducthelp/core/qb2k12/contentpackage/thirdparty/excel/info_customer_required_fields.html?family=pro it doesn't list those as defined fields. It shows BILLING ADDRESS 1 - BILLING ADDRESS 5, and likewise for SHIPPING. Do ADDRESS 3, 4 and 5 correspond to city, state ZIP? Am I looking at the wrong web page for definitions? How to I set up a spreadsheet to import these fields?

New Client has Peach tree on Two Computers  One is acting as server

Their idea was to use the second as a client computer so two users can be working on it at the same time.

The Client computer is not pointing to the Server Computer.

is there a Utility I have to run to get the client to communicate with server computer?

Just got the 3 license version of QB 2015. This is a workgroup setting where one computer (a Windows 7 Ultimate) machine is acting as a file server where I have I have a couple of drives and I am sharing folders for company tasks.  I want to setup QB in a Multi-user environment so two computers can access and work on the folder.  The license says I must have QB installed on each computer that accesses the database.

I was told to just install QB on the machines I want to use, and store the company file on a share in the server, then just open the file from the shared folder on the machines that have QB installed.

Should I install the QB Database Server in the shared folder on the windows machine acting as a server or should I install the full version of QB on the Windows 7 machine that's acting as a 'server.' Only a couple people need to access QB and they will usually be onsite.

I have a client that makes and sells items on his farm.  How can I get Quickbooks to know that when I'm running low on a products to track the ingredients it takes to make that product.  So before item A is running low it will say that you need to restock the items it takes to make product A.

           I wish to help a friend to make QuickBooks 2011 compatible with Windows 10.  Can this be done or will she have to purchase Quickbooks 2015?

          Any suggestions or guidance given in reply to this interest will be greatly appreciated.

So a few weeks ago, we decided to virtualize our file/quickbooks server into VMWare.
The new VM server has the same network name but different IP address and different network share for the Quickbooks company files. All users have been remapped to the new share name (same drive letter) yet at random they are all getting:

Error code H202 "This company file is on another computer, and QuickBooks needs some help connecting"

I read this kb article - http://support.quickbooks.intuit.com/support/Articles/SLN40493 - about running File Doctor which I run on the server each time this issue pops up. The workstations then can open the file but I don't understand why I have to keep re-running File Doctor on the server to reconnect all the workstations. Any ideas?

I have two users on a multi-user QuickBooks Enterprise Solution 15.0 account. One of these employees is there only every other day. The primary user who is there everyday is having to enable login for the 2nd user every day they come in. Is there a way to disable this so that either one of them can login at any time they please? Again, the software was installed in multi-user mode. Please let me know if I can provide any further information. Thanks!

I need to have several PC's have access to a central Quickbooks file but none of them simultaneously ..

We have Quickbooks 2011

Is installing database manager necessary or can I just put the file in a network folder and access it from client's copy of Quickbooks?

Client has upgraded to Mac OS X 10.10.4  They are using Quicken 2007.  They do not do any online banking or downloading of transactions.

They are very happy with Quicken 2007.  If all that they are doing is just typing in checks and deposits, can they continue to use Quicken 2007.

I know that Intuit says that the product is unsupported.

But is this a risk?
