Responsive Web

Mobile web development, also known as responsive web design, is an approach to web design aimed at crafting sites to provide an optimal viewing and interaction experience—easy reading and navigation with a minimum of resizing, panning, and scrolling—across a wide range of devices (from desktop computer monitors to mobile phones). A site designed with RWD adapts the layout to the viewing environment by using fluid, proportion-based grids, flexible images, and CSS3 media queries.

Hi, sir,
I like bootstrap3 grid,compenents, but i do not like the responsive feature. I want the webpage use bootstrap without mobile first feature. That is to say, the mobile browser render pages the same as desktop. The mobile use must zoom out to see more detail information on a specific region(currently, automatically switched to one column layout).
Is there any method to meet that?
Im looking into the various ways people set up their hosted systems for a clients setup. This will essentially be the back end for an app which will interrogate an SQL backend. The app will be accessed from 200 countries with 5000 concurrent connections worldwide, it needs to be scalable and obviously redundant.  Its bigger than anything Iv ebeen involved in so looking for pointers on how any of you guys do it or would do it. Also companies which provide this time of thing for resellers etc. I obviously want to be involved and have ongoing profit from this as well.

Please fire away with ideas.
I am building this page using bootstrap:

when I view it on mobile, the orange email widget that says "Subscribe for more LOL's" becomes elongated. I cannot figure out how to resolve this to the box displays at a normal height. Any help is appreciated.

I would like to implement login and register functionality for my web application. How to maintain the password security in the DB? Also I plan to develop a mobile app for my web application in future so I should be able to use the same to authenticate users from mobile too? I will have 100,000 users when my application is in production.

Can somebody provide me pointers in this direction?  I am using sql server 2014, MVC 5 , entity framework.

Thanks for your time.
I use Vimeo. I can embed on my mobile website, but when played it goes full screen. It does not go full screen on my desktop website. I would like the videos to play on the mobile page. The videos have been sized in the embed code to be width="167" height="94" . Can this be done with Vimeo.
I altered
<iframe src="//" width="167" height="94" frameborder="0" webkitallowfullscreen mozallowfullscreen allowfullscreen></iframe>

<iframe src="//" width="167" height="94" frameborder="0"></iframe>

If Vimeo can't do this, I assume this can be done with YouTube and can I embed the video on my site without making it public? Also, with YouTube,, does this mean that the URL can be cut and pasted to go to the video?

I am looking to source an affordable designer for the web, up until now we have been doing this ourselves but through looking at productivity, although we produce good results this is the area we are least efficient at. The issue I have is all the companies I have approached charge more than we charge for just the design component only etc ... (our average build we do for about $2,500 to $12,000 NZD depending on complexity, custom functionality / custom design implementation. (we predominantly develop on WordPress but also do custom builds using Symfony2)

I am looking for small one to 4 person company that I can give turnover to in volume of jobs, but, I don't want the entire budget of the jobs absorbed by design.

Naturally myself and my business partners are all developers, it doesn't matter where these designers are located as we can all work from anywhere but English speaking is a must as instructions get lost in translation.

Anyone have any recommendations?

Seems odd asking a non technical question on Experts Exchange but there must be people here who have good relationships with people they outsource to that can provide some insight.

If you have used VS2015 for mobile app development,  I want you to help answer please.

The site says you build mobile apps in 2015 using C#, is no longer used at all?

can you do everything you do in a web app? can you use a web service to retrieve data?

does it allow data connections to your existing sql server database?

Please tell me about the features of what it comes with and what costs extra that I'll need, etc. to get out a mobile app that allows log in with user name and password, looking up their data, displaying data from my existing sql server database, etc. Just if it's possible and easy and doesn't have any hidden fees.

I would like  Expert advice on the best practices for media queries to target desktop and popular devices -- both landscape and portrait.

Included in my question is -- is there a "Cascade" of a certain "required" order when creating these media queries.

Also is a separate stylesheet the best way to go for these type of media querties?

Besides using media queries to adjust the pages for different device "widths" there are some elements I want to hide on certain devices -- such as cell phones.

So if you Experts can advise, I will be splitting the points among all contributors.

I would like to build or develop an app would capture the following data points
Name, Address, Phone number, Email address, Shipping address, and share a message on FB or other social media when user submits data.

Perhaps there is already a pre-built template or links to some articles regarding.

Thanks in advance
I am trying to create a responsive mega menu for bootstrap 3, I found the one below

and applied it to my build here

The big problem with it is that when on a desktop, the menu wont rollover, you need to click it open.

So my question is 2 part
1. Can we make it open on rollover when on a desktop?
2. or can someone recommend a bootstrap 3  mega menu which will do what I need?

For my website,, I have a sparkling theme. I've downloaded bootstrap. I want to make a mobile responsive site. Will you help me switch my right margin over to the left (a code walk-through)?

Hi, My customer has a Galaxy smartphone, with android. When he touches the screen on the site on his phone, it shrinks down to the left to a really skinny screen.  So my questions are:

1. Do you have a phone you can replicate this on? It just would be: go to the site, touch or swipe the screen, and the site will shrink to the left, suddenly taking up only 1/3 of the screen.

2. Can you help me solve this problem?

I'm trying to have this form - however the validation is not working... any ideas?

How do I easily make a table like this that looks good on mobile. I don't need to stay with a standard html table
I have 5 pairs of controls that I want to have spaced evenly when the user's browser window is small (sm). I'm very close but need to find a way to either shrink the 4th pair of elements or grow (widen) the fifth pair. Right now it raps the data of the fifth pair on the line below, when the user's browser window is small. Any suggestions?

    <div class="row">
        <div class="form-group">
            <div class="col-xs-12 col-sm-2 col-md-2 col-lg-3">
                <span class="text-right detail-label-black">Year:</span>
                <asp:Label runat="server" ID="lblYear" class="detail-data-bold-black" />
            <div class="col-xs-12 col-sm-2 col-md-2 col-lg-2">
                <span class="text-right detail-label-black">Make:</span>

I will not connect to a database and will just have the GUI on website with several pages.
Also, I want the website to be responsive to device screen sizes.
It does not matter if the pages are HTML/.Net or anything else, I just want to manage the webpages easily for Edit/Addition.

What is the best way to make such a website?
