I am aware of the Google Control Panel, but "not set" is a problem. Is there another way?
I have a small wordpress blog for our company.  I have an idea for some articles that would be purely for generating traffic (free advice content) and I'm wondering if it'd be best to optimize for a category of my blog that exists, or create an entirely new wordpress blog with all those articles having backlinks to our company page.

I bought the domain: that I was going to use on a new site.

Oh men,
Im wondering if you guys can give me some advice and examples of how i can position my web page in the proper manner,
some tricks or best practices for positioning my page locally
Hi All -
When we run Pay-per-Click campaigns for Customers, I want to be able to show a Customer the results, Cost per Click, etc ... HOWEVER I need to include our markup in the cost numbers ...
For example,  a Click costs us $1.00. I want to be able to show $1.25. Everything else is the same.
Can anyone suggest any options? Either using Google/Bing or Open Source SW :) :)  or 3rd party SW.

Thanks all in advance!

I'm writing structured data code for my breadcrumb and ran into a question about the position number of the item.

For Seattle:
1. US-->2. WA--->3. King County--->4. Seattle

This is my breadcrumb for Seattle, which is in position 4.  The numbers are not displayed to the users of course, but in the code behind for structured data, the numbers are required by Google.
"itemListElement": [{
    "@type": "ListItem",
    "position": 1,

However Canada doesn't have counties for their cities.  So on my Calgary page, the breadcrumb naturally will not show a "county" level.  but when it comes to the structured data code behind, which is appropriate, is calgary in position 3 or position 4?

1.  Canada-->2. AB-->4. Calgary

1.  Canada -->2. AB -->3. Calgary

Since all the US cities have the city at the fourth position, I wondered if I should "skip" a level for my pages on Canadian cities, but I'm not sure what the best practice is.  Should I code my structured data to put canadian cities in position 4, or position 3?

copy that search into a browser
Google with videos larger than 20 minutes

I am looking for mob (like tony sprano tv show "the spranos" on hbo television) documentary about taxi drivers
Please dont completely edit search to

tony sprano taxi cab

to find tony sprano riding a taxi cab because this is an algorithm question

Tony sprano riding a taxi cab is an example to a correct answer but isnt the only correct answer to the question but please dont edit the answer too much

All the results are video games playing
People filming themselves playing xbox or playstation or nintendo

Seems like all the specific searches are something else.
So this is more of a big data question.

I usually just watch because it is easier than something specific.
Most people just watch regular tv because tv is easy to turn on

this question is a puzzle and not looking for a link the meaning of + and - symbols
so if you have a better picture of google custom search terms that is not the answer.
Note: this question is not homework and is not a puzzle for a job interview -YET.…

I am curious, what is the most professional way of building domain names, when the company name is using hyphens.

The case I am most interested in, when there is also an extra word after the company name in the desired domain.

How would you hyphen for instance:
( Lorem-Ipsum is the company name recognised with hyphen)

Lorem-Ipsum Company
Lorem-Ipsum Bicycles
Lorem-Ipsum bicycle accessories
I have a basic HTML website that I am trying to add Google AdSense banners to.  I creates an AsSense account, and created some Ad units.  I copied and placed the code in the body of my HTML as per instructions.  But only blanks show up.

I tried some 3rd party tools like
They all show Ads for my site.

So I thought maybe some other  code on the page was conflicting.  I simplified and went vanilla with a test page.  Still does not work.

Here is the test page code:

<!DOCTYPE html>
<html lang="en">

	<!-- Google AdSense Widget -->

		<script async src="//"></script>
		<!-- Responsive -->
		<ins class="adsbygoogle"
		(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});
		responsive ad above this line

My website is ranking no. 1 for a search term that I have been focusing on for quite a while.

I am working on a new Wordpress theme, which I am planning on installing on my site next week.

Could the change of theme, affect my SEO? The code of the new theme is very clean and fast.

The only thing that will change is my content will not change.

How do search engines usually react to this? Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi guys, I hope that my problem is not too complicated or too specific

I recently changed all my URL titles. Here's an example :

The first one is the old URL and the second one is the new one. I made this for all my products.

It's important to note that the URL format is set within an URL Rewrite which consists of :
<rule name="RewriteArticle" stopProcessing="true">
          <match url="^comparatif/([0-9]+)/([_0-9a-z-]+)" />
          <action type="Rewrite" url="pages/voir_comparatif.aspx?id_comparatif={R:1}&amp;name={R:2}" redirectType="Permanent" />

Open in new window

So R:1 represents the ID and R:2 the product name

When we browse to one or another of these URLs it obviously works because the title is just for better optimization and is IRRELEVANT for showing content. In other words, my server side code takes the ID and displays the webpage based on that ID.

Problem is, I forced google to reindex my pages via the Google Search Console and now when I type in google the 2 different URLs are shown in the results. Along with that, it looks like Google made my site drop A LOT in rankings since these changes (don't know if it's related but I changed almost nothing else since). Do you think they consider it as duplicate content? Not sure....

So I browsed to 'URL Temporary Removal' from Google Search Console to delete all the old URLs. They are now in a pending mode awaiting process.

Is it the right thing to do?

Thanks in advance
What is the on page SEO.
Hello,  I hope I am describing my question clearly.  I am doing a research project and have a task to perform advanced internet searches using use a search engine that is not powered by the common commercial search engines such as google, yahoo, aol or other.  I found some good search engines with the necessary features.  However my requirements are to search by range of dates that I enter in as free form; for example 01/01/2012 to 01/31/2012.  Most of the search engines have date parameters for 'past week', 'past month' or 'past year' or a drop down calendar feature to filter by date range.

Can you help me find documentation/online resources where I can find how to construct search engine browser based queries specifying a range of dates?  I am asking for syntax help to write free form advanced internet searches that would not need to be search engine specific.  Your help will be most appreciated.

I want to build my team to be SEO centric. We have a great opportunity to make money from sales of certain line of products that are not competitive. And I want to know the best way to go about it.

1. I want to hire research and content employees, who will take their time to develop the right content to best advise potential customers on best practices.

2. What else will I do right? that'll give hugely significant result within a 3-6 months time frame.

I will like to outsource the technical aspect to developers on elance, what should I be asking them to do: stuff like this: keeps bothering me.
