Skype for Business drop the connection to a meetings, frequently: the message received when the call is dropped: replaced by the other participant.

I have set the Skype for Business to utilize the headphones for an audio device, but is there something else I should be looking at?

The below has been setup on both tenants, both E3 licences

Configuring Teams to Allow Guest Access
•      Head over to your Microsoft Office 365 Admin Center
•      Under Admin Centers, select Teams & Skype (previously you needed to go to Settings > Services & Add-Ins > Microsoft Teams)
•      Go to Org-Wide Settings
•      Under External Access, you can enable this if you want to let your Teams and Skype for Business users communicate with users that are outside of your organization. You can also whitelist specific domains here.
•      Under Guest Access, you’ll want to turn on Allow Guest Access in Teams
•      You can enable or disable the other options as you need to
Configure Office 365 Groups to Allow Owners to Invite Guests and External Users
•      Go to your Microsoft Office 365 Admin Center
•      Go to Settings > Services & Add-Ins > Office 365 Groups
•      Turn on the settings for Let Group Members Outside The Organization Access Group Content and Let Group Owners Add People Outside The Organization To Groups
Configure Settings in Azure AD
•      Go to your Azure Portal
•      Go to Azure Active Directory
•      Under the Manage section, click on User Settings
•      Click on the link under External Users that says Manage External Collaboration Settings
•      Turn on Members Can Invite
Configure Sharing in Office 365
•      Go to your Microsoft Office 365 Admin Center

When someone calls me on SKYPE, they just appear. There's no ring and I don't have to click on anything to see them. This is annoying.  I don't want people to just appear when they call me on skype.  If it's a setting I haven't been able to find it to turn it off.  I'm running Skype, on a Dell optiplex 7040 desktop running Windows 10 Pro at the latest level.
Skype for Business sometimes detect the compatible USB head phone, other times it does not.
What could cause the above problem?
I am thinking there is possible corruption on the SSD.

Do I need to install the Plantronics software and see if it detects the headset.
I have not tested the headset on a different laptop to see if the problem happens again.

I have a AD network with on Prem exchange.

A sister company wants us to start using Skype with our on prem email addresses.

Now i understand i just need to create a microsoft account using the on prem email address and have tested this for an individual users but im not sure how to do this on mass for 200 users.

Guys, I've been tasked with cleaning up/disabling skype for business enabled accounts,
Most of the accounts that have the "msRTCSIP-UserEnabled attribute set to True" are in the disabled accounts OU, there are a couple of active administrative accounts that has this attribute set to true which doesn't require skype for business,
Can you please provide some guidance as to what would be the easiest way to set this attribute to false (assuming that's what I need to do disable skype for business) on 1000 odd accounts?
I have changed the first & last name of my onedrive.com profile.  However, when going to onenote.com I see the old  first/last name at the top-right of the web browser.  In onenote.com I created a new notebook and I return to onedrive.com, right-click on the new notebook name and click Details, in the right side under "Added",  the old first/last name is displayed.  How can I fixed this and have my new profile name appear when in onenote.com and have my new profile names when seeing the details of any onenote files in onedrive.com?
Skype for business/Lync 2013

We purchased a Skype for business system about a year ago and are still having alot of problems with it.  The service provider seems to be getting no where in resolving them.  the biggest problem is hunt groups and park service being very slow.  heres a bit of background:

Yealink T46G deskphones connect directly to SFB server
Gigaset cordeless phones connecting via SIP connect to AudioCodes SPS server
4 loud ringers connecting to AudioCodes Loud ringer

the problem i have is when a hunt group is called it takes about 5 seconds before the phones even start to ring, then when the call is picked up it takes another 5-12 seconds to connect during which time the hold music cuts off so the caller gets silence.  usually they think the line has cut off so they hang up.  then once the call is connected it is then a further 3-4 seconds before the audio actually connects.  this is causing a major problem and to pickup another persons ringing phones takes even longer.

if a call comes through on a DDI howeer the pickup is instant.

it only seems to relate to calls going through the park serivce.  does anyone have any suggestion as to what I can check/change to improve this as, as i mentioned, the service provider is getting nowhere with it.
Is there any way to export or get a list of contacts or groups that were created in Skype for Business client?

I am running in office 365 and Office 2016 on windows 10 and have a lot of custom groups I created and wanted to back them up or copy or share them.

If this isn't possible, would the best thing be to created a Distribution list and then message the DL if I wanted this group skype functionality?

Using Skype for Business in a Exchange 2010 Hybrid Environment

The conversation history doesn't show up for either internal or external calls

Is there anything that we need to look at in order to get this working?
Hey all, one of our users (at least we think it is only one) is having issues with caller ID, note that we use skype for business/O365 online.

For example: When he calls me I see his proper skype/office # on  the caller ID because he is calling me from his skype for business account....but if I miss the call, I do get an email notification....but in the details it shows as if the call came from his mobile #.

Any idea where the issue could be?

I did notice something in the desktop client settings...under Options - Phones, I do see his office and mobile #s listed, but am unable to change the mobile# because the "Mobile Phone" button is greyed out (see attached image)

I found this article that said its an admin setting, but I can't find it anywhere...again, not sure if this is the cause but figured I would mention it.


we have on premise AD and ADFS server and we have mailboxes in office 365

we dont have exchange on premise, one user for 5 mins could not create any user groups in his skype or add users

can there be any reason , as of now he can add

we have office 365 proplus installed, is it due to ldap conenctivity to AD or

not sure how skype for business works

My recorder is not working when I’m conference in GotoMeeting, Zoom, Skype, etc.  I have checked the sound configuration and there is a recording tab and the device is enabled and says working fine.  How can I troubleshoot to assure that my microphone is working fine for my next conference?
I have a customer who needs MS Teams for his day-to-day work but cannot use it because the Audio and speakers are muted. He says his laptop won't allow him to unmute the Audio. I'm looking for ways to help him but I don't have a clue where to start.

Only Skype for Business was running.

I notice the problem when I am connected to Ethernet via IP phone, never on Wi-Fi.

Any ideas of what can cause this?
We have an on-premise Skype for Business installation and require international dialin numbers for telcos.  Is there a way / service / provider / solution on how to offer international dialin numbers in combination with our on-premise Skype for Business installation?

Skype for Business - migrating to Microsoft as a PROVIDER:

Question:  when migrating to Microsoft, the Subject and/or Location field are configured with old bridge numbers, which isn't updated when switching over to Microsoft, only the body of the email is.  Is there anyway of automating this - or is there a best practice by Microsoft when creating online meetings and such to NOT use these fields?

Our internal Chat server cert recently expired. Skype for business group chat has stopped working.

Does anyone know how to renew a certificate between the Chat server and the Lync server ?

We are looking into detecting when users initiated a screen-share or remote control using the popular Conference programs out there. We are looking to detect this so we can then build some controls and alerts around the policy we want to enforce.
Note: We do not want to prevent the users from joining any of these business related conferences. We are just interested in Screenshares/remote controls.

If you have quality of service set up on your network for Skype for Business Online/O365, do you need to make changes in order to accommodate Microsoft Teams? Or is teams just a layer on top of Skype but using the same protocols etc?
Need to get SfB conversation History for a particular user. We have Exchange 2016 On Prem. SfB is also On prem. Is there a PowerShell command?
we have been asked to implement a skype for business server for one of our clients.

I will confess straight away that I have no experience with skype at all, so my initial request will be somewhat fundamental!

Having looked at a few videos of the installation and setup of skype for business server, they all seem to imply that we need a complete new server. My question is therefore, do we need to purchase a complete new server along with windows server OS, or can we add this to an existing server?

The client in question already has 2 servers, one is a windows 2012 server running hyperv, which supports a domain controller / file server, and one additional file server. In addition we have a stand alone exchange 2010 server.

Would skype for business server run on say the lesser used file server, or even our domain controller, or would we need to add additional hardware whit Windows server OS etc to host this facility.

Any advice very much appreciated.

We are having a strange issue with our Skype for Business.
Its been running just fine for sometime now but we have some external clients that are having an issue with our Skype ids.
What's happening is that we can send them a skype message and they receive it, but when the try to reply back to us, it eventually times out for them, and we don't get their reply.
Also when they bring up their list of other clients including ours, ours show up as status, Presence Unknown
Does anyone know what I can check to see why our IDs would be appearing to them as Presence Unknown?
