Just after setting up Cloud PBX connectivity and migrated Skype users to SFBO, we noticed inbound calls not working but outbound calls would work.

Learn the top ten threats that are present in modern web-application development and how to protect your business from them.

If Skype for Business came with your office 2016 or office 365 installation, you may find that it's almost impossible to either disable or remove it. The application will often launch with each start of Windows, even when explicitly configured not to do so.

I followed the instructions exactly including the edit for x64 bit.  (It did take quite a while for the download to finish)
Was told I needed to uninstall my Microsoft Office 2016 Pro Plus x64.
I did the uninstall the usual way (and I kept the command window open while doing this so I could continue following the instructions after the uninstall finished)
Then what was installed was Microsoft Office 365 and it did not ask about closing Skype for Business as the instructions suggested it would.
I tried putting my Office license key back in.  Office said the key was for the desktop version not 365, but then proceeded to use the key to activate the installed software as the fully paid desktop version.
I rebooted and there was NO Skype for Business hassel that had been there before.
So I think everything is ok :-)
Thank you !!

This is a great solution but did anyone notice other features go missing? Namely, the voice dictation feature in Word (picture of microphone toward the right) and the LinkedIn Resume Assistant under the Review tab in Word.

Edit: Updated Office and those features are back. Thank you!

I recently purchased a Bluetooth headset called the Music Jogger (model BSH10). The control buttons on it look like this:

One of my goals is to use it as the microphone and speakers for Skype calls. In that respect, it works well. However, I also want to be able to answer a Skype call with its Multi-Function Button (MFB), so that I don't have to be sitting at the computer when a call comes in. In that respect, the headset fails.

One possible solution is to configure Skype to answer incoming calls automatically, but I don't like this idea, for two reasons. First, most of the time I am at my computer. In those cases, I may not always want to answer a call – especially when I see CallerID . Second, I may not be at the computer and may not have the headset on, in which case I don't want Skype to answer the call. I could try to remember to enable/disable Skype's automatic answer feature depending on my whereabouts, but that is likely to be error-prone – and a nuisance to boot. The better solution is to configure the MFB to answer a call. Fortunately, there's a way to do this easily – and with free software.

The solution presented in this article should work on many Bluetooth headsets. For example, here's another one from Kinivo (model BTH220) with similar controls (excellent headset – I own this one, too):

As long as your Bluetooth headset has a Play-Pause button, …
