Hi
I have found Xamarin cross-platform, mobile device IDE
It seems to be real, working for every device type, Android, iOs ..iPhone, Windows

As introduced by this dude here

The coding is apparently done in Visual Studio? for C#   I'll need to rent the latest version, or get my client to pay rent for it.
I still have Vis Studio from mid 90's - CS 455 days  If I rent the Mac version of Windows.Visual.Studio, will that be foolish, for an app development on a MacBook?

Anyway, this is apparently a good solution for cross-platform PDA development. Is the interpreter set for Tablets, also?
Would you agree? Hackable? crashing problems?

Thanks

Hi
We've had an idea in our project for a phone app that displays pics and receives a user's opinion of the pic with a sliding scale.

It would be a benefit if it could work on all phones / devices
What are the cross-platform solutions, considerations for this?

Thanks

How can I resume listening to an MP3 on a Samsung Galaxy S8 cell phone at point where playback was last paused with the built in Galaxy S8 media player app?

When I later go back to resume listening where I had left off I am usually not able to resume at the point where playback left off at the point where I was last listening.

How can I resume at the point where I last left off?

Some of the Android apps (like the File manager app found here https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.alphainventor.filemanager) that I have been loading on my Samsung Galaxy S8 have been putting adds on my cell phone.

Is there any way of paying for these apps to prevent them from putting adds on my cell phone?

I succesfully wrote my first Delphi app for smartphone (Android).
A button to click, a edit field, a label
When clicking on the button, the text in the edit field is copied in the label text : Label1.Text := 'Hello ' + Edit1.Text + ' ! ';
Also, at design time, I put "Hello" in the text property of Label1
Now at execution time (test on the PC),  clicking the button has no effect !
In debug mode, I put a break point on the statement label1.Text := ... but it never stops there
What's missing ?
Here is the code of Unit1 :

unit Unit1;
interface
uses
  System.SysUtils, System.Types, System.UITypes, System.Classes, System.Variants,
  FMX.Types, FMX.Controls, FMX.Forms, FMX.Graphics, FMX.Dialogs, FMX.StdCtrls,
  FMX.Controls.Presentation, FMX.Edit;
type
  TForm1 = class(TForm)
    Edit1: TEdit;
    Label1: TLabel;
    Button1: TButton;
    procedure Button1Click(Sender: TObject);
  private
    { Déclarations privées }
  public
    { Déclarations publiques }
  end;
var
  Form1: TForm1;
implementation
{$R *.fmx}
// {$R *.iPhone47in.fmx IOS}
procedure TForm1.Button1Click(Sender: TObject);
begin
 Label1.Text := 'Hello ' + Edit1.Text + ' !';
end;
end.

I found one at a store, Samsung Galaxy Note 8, that seemed impressive. Could write notes on it just like with an ordinary pen on paper. Is this the best there is on the market, or is there any other note-taking smartphone that is much better?

Except the function to take notes just like with an ordinary pen on paper but instead on the smartphone with an electronic pen, I also want to be able to easily and quickly find any small note. So there should be possible to save each note and label each note so I can find it later using any of several search criteria.

Also useful would be to easily be able to cut parts of a note and paste somewhere else to other notes (move parts of notes to other notes).

Or would a tablet like Samsung Tab J be even better than a note-taking smartphone?

i have the above phone and the carrier is Ultra mobile which is a subset of MetroPCS.  Recently I had used up all my data, and I received a data locked error.  On calling support they said that i had to get more data, and I did exactly and said that they needed about 15 minutes to configure it.  But I now can see an incoming sms message, but when I tap on it, it disappears and does not appear at all.  Support says that the problem is my  phone.  Can the experts suggest how to fix this problem.  Thank u and regards.

Hello,

I have made an Android app in Delphi which sends Sms to some phone numbers.

It works well on my phone but at one of my customer (who has Android 7 on his phone ) it works like this:
- it sends about 10-15 SMS-es without error
- then "Android error: java.lang.UnsupportedOperationException: Sms is not supported" pops up

What can cause the problem at customer's site?
Thank you very much for your help.
