I have a Samsung Galaxy S5 (but soon to upgrade to Note 8). When I go travelling I always take with me my trusty Nikon D7100 digital SLR with 18-85mm lens. Smartphones can take great photos these days but are still lacking due to their lens.

Conversely, my Nikon camera, although a very good camera, is heavy, cumbersome, and I also need to bring the case and charger.

Further, I can't backup to cloud, edit, or share (email, Whatsapp) my pictures directly from the SLR camera. For this I'd need to bring a laptop with me, whereas with my phone I can do these three things from the phone. Also my phone can GPS-tag the photos, whilst to do this on my Nikon I'd need to buy a separate GPS unit to attach it to the camera, thereby making it even more cumbersome.

Viewing recently taken photos on a smartphone screen is much more pleasurable, not to mention the pinch-to-zoom. Also, my phone these days has more free storage space than my camera has in total.

So, to my question... Is there a way that I can have the best of both worlds? Does there exist some sort of 'cradle', where I can attach my current Nikon lenses, and a shoulder strap, and then just slot in the phone to turn it into a fully functional DSLR camera?

As for connection between the phone and the 'thing', I initially thought WiFi, but I think that this would cause a Osh with the viewfinder, so probably USB-C would be best. Plus, with a cable you could potentially or a battery inside the thing which could be used to charge …

Greetings, experts!

After 14 years of using various incarnations of Windows Phone and Windows Mobile, I've resigned myself to the inevitable fact that Windows Phone is dead. So, I recently purchased a Samsung Galaxy S8, and I've successfully exported my Contacts from Windows Live and imported them into my Android Phone.

But, I don't see any way to export my Calendar information so that I can import that into the Android phone. I have many years worth of data in my Calendar, and I really don't want to lose that. It's still stored on office.live.com, but what is the best way to get that into my new Android?

Thanks!

What apps or methods will allow me to project what is playing on my iPhone X onto my iPad?

Calendar permissions shared through a security group.  Normal access is from Outlook where data can be accessed.

Objective is now to add to an Android.  The account is disabled for security reasons and the password is unknown.  Reluctant to change the password as other uses and access are unknown.

How can I add this to an Android?

We currently have MaaS360 and want to come away from that due to the limited functionality and lack of helpful features. We would require something that provides more control over the device. So that we can allow and restrict apps as necessary.

EDIT: We also push 3 apps currently and would require that feature as well. Something does a fairly good job at auditing the devices within the company.

I had this question after viewing small downloads folder.

SM-G920P
samsung galaxy s6

alphainventor.filemanager

has many items in download folder.

I have a related question because airbnb app only shows 9 items in download folder (newest nine).
Older items with same name have no picture.
I can not attach these items.
Airbnb does not recognize these files as images.

So it is an airbnb app error.

I had an app (I forget the name) that had too much clicking. All the time telling me I have this app. I think I had to interact with the app every time I touched the phone.

I would like an app that works in the background to prevent battery overcharging.

I have several audio books I would like to put into my iPhone X so I can listen to them on my iPhone.

These audio books have each chapter saved as an .MP3 file.

I have dragged and dropped these files into iTunes and have also attempted to import them from a DVD but when I search for them on my iPhone (by the book or author name) I am unable to find them anywhere.

What is the correct process to use so I can later listen to these audio books on my iPhone X?

Are there any iPhone apps currently available that will provide auto complete suggestions after the first few numbers of a phone number have been entered on the iPhone?

These auto complete suggestions will come by querying my contacts, saved, and dialed phone numbers on the iPhone.

This is similar to typing in the first few characters of an email address within Outlook and then having a list of suggested email addresses appear.

Are there any apps for adding the tethering feature (so I can surf the internet on my laptop connected to my iPhone) on a non jailbroken Sprint PCS iPhone X running iOS 11.2 (15C114)?

I already have an unlimited data plan through Sprint PCS.

Hi, I was given an early Christmas gift of a Halo Neuroscience Sport. It requires an app to be installed on a smart phone, only the phone I have is a Samsung Galaxy S4 ver. 4.2 and can't be upgraded.

My phone is a cheap refurbished model on the Straight Talk flat $45 per month plan. I can't afford an expensive phone/plan and have never needed one as I only use it to make calls and navigate. But if I don't get a compatible phone for the Halo device, I will have to return the gift. I would really like to keep it to help with learning the piano.

Unfortunately, I am dumb when it comes to smart phones. I see cheap unlocked straight talk phones on eBay, but I'm wary of purchasing something this way...most of them are from overseas and would be expensive to return.

Please let me know what I can do to solve this. I only have a little time left to return the device, as you can use it on trial for 30 day. The Experts really know their stuff, that is why I subscribe! Thanks in advance.

Here is the link to the models and OS versions compatible with the device: https://support.haloneuro.com/hc/en-us/articles/231453748-What-devices-and-operating-systems-are-compatible-with-Halo-Sport-

I have tried on 3 machines (Win 7) and 3 mobiles (Android) but only one combination shows up as COM3 in Hyperterminal.
My purpose is to send SMS via Serial port. I can send successfully from this one combination.
I want the others to work too. All mobiles connect to the machine and I can access the Internal and External drives.

By COM3 I mean COM1,2,3,4....

Hi.
I have the Note 8 & received the free microSDXC evo plus 128gb SD card. Problem is, I can't seem to save what I want to it. I first, dropped it in my note8 & attempted to copy from my windows 10 laptop & I kept getting device not found after maybe copying 1 dir. so I then tried to put the new Sd in the microSD adapter. Still no luck. Then I tried copying from my S4 to my Note8. No luck. I tried formatting it on the Note8, which formats it but copying. No luck.

Samsung memory support suggested I do a clean with DiskPart which works but attempts to format returns device not found.

I've came across a posting that indicated I needed to dwld & install "Note8 USB drivers" but can't seem to locate them anywhere.

This has been very frustrating for a free gift for buying the Note8 that I would expect to just insert and transfer to it at will until 119gb is full.  Very frustrating.

Any help or direction you can provide would be greatly appreciated....

I'd like to know how to get on this "smart" list.

just got a call on my android s7 that has a tag "smart" and shows the full name of the person calling. this person is not in my address book.

I'm assuming that my network/Telco is sending this extra info but where is it coming from?

(I'll try and post a screenshot as i can't while asking a question using the app)

So I think I'm dealing with a buyer with buyer's remorse.

I sold my Galaxy S7 Edge on eBay after unlocking it and then doing a factory reset.  As part of the phone setup (when you turn it on) Android asks for a google account to associate with the phone, but so far as I know that's optional and you can "skip".  I recall that from before the reset and I had the same thing with my new phone.  I've never heard anyone suggest that after a reset and when doing new setup that you have to put in the account that was previously used for the previous setup.

Can I get confirmation from some expert here that this buyer is spouting non-sense?  I can't understand how a factor reset would leave the phone in anything but a clean state or that Android upon starting would require the entry or association of the phone during setup with any previous Google account.
