Hello

Currently my android app uses apk on google play store to distribute my app.
i want to switch to "app bundle"  (https://developer.android.com/platform/technology/app-bundle) approach instead of using apk approach.
i generated app bundle (.aab ) file successfully, my questions:
Q1) if i upload app bundle to google play store, does it allow to the existing users to just update the app instead of uninstalling current version of the app and res-installing latest version of app ( app bundle one)
please let mw know

Thanks,

Attach pictures to a Facebook messenger message from an online folder or album.

I would like to be able to attach pictures to a Facebook message from an online folder or album, and not just from the hodgepodge of pictures that have somehow made it into the root of the local gallery on my phone.

The two online services that I am currently considering using are from Microsoft and from Google, but neither of those folders or albums seems to be accessible from my Android Galaxy Note 8 phone.

Assistance is greatly appreciated.

Hi,

I have a Samsung Note 9 phone.

Sometimes I would get a call from someone while being in a call already with another person.

The person trying to call me never knows that I was in a call with someone else so don't ring back.

To the person trying to ring me, their phone rings for a bit and then goes to voicemail.

I would like to have the person trying to call me in this situation given a message saying "person in a call" or busy.

Is there a setting for this on Note 9 phone?

Thanks,
Robbie

Hi,

I use a Samsung Note 9 phone for conference calls.

These conference calls are recorded using a call recorder app on my phone.

I always get permission from those that are part of the conference calls so it is okay to record them.

We have tried different call recorders for Samsung phone but got mixed results.

Sometimes, the call recorder that we use currently only records my voice or other person's voice is very quiet when recording is played back.

It is expected that all people on the call should be recorded and heard when played back.

What would you recommend as best call recorder to use for the Samsung Note 9?

Thanks,
Robbie

I'm trying to share a contact folder with users within my organization so that we can see them on our smartphones as well.  I've tried to following articles but still not working.

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/10157/sharing-calendar-and-contacts-in-office-365

https://support.office.com/en-us/article/Share-a-contacts-folder-with-others-CE5A40D1-BC9F-4F5D-A2AA-5EC388573821

I created a contact folder and I set the up the permission for myself as Editor and then sent a share contacts email.  When I try to open the contact folder, it tells me “the folder you selected is not available”. “

Any ideas why it's not working?  I would use public folders but you see those on a smartphone.

Gboard for Android and Windows desktop

I absolutely love Gboard. It works so seamlessly for voice-to-text, and for allowing you to re-use text clippings. The problem is that it only seems to be available for Android and iOS. I don't think there is a way to use it in Windows? This is disappointing, to say the least. Any assistance in finding some way to cross-platform this ability would be greatly appreciated.

Someone spoofing my number and calling another person with mortgage offerings and other services.
The area codes and prefixes of my number and other recepient's number are always the same.  Last four digits are always different.  Both numbers are with AT&T carrier in US.

Anyone had experience how to deal with it?
Any solution besides keep blocking them?  Can AT&T do something about it?

I have a Droid user on outlook (cloud) with MA.  All his contacts are un-assigned.  They do not show via Blue Tooth in his car (Toyota).   If he puts them in a group they show up just fine.  As soon as outlook does its sync it un-assigns them.  Any suggestions on how to keep them in a group.

Hi,

I have a Samsung Galaxy S9 phone.

On this phone is an app that needs to be open in order to get the most out of the app.

Is there a way to have certain apps on this phone open once the phone is powered on and started up?

Thanks,

Hi,

I have an Android phone (Samsung Galaxy A3) which is connected to our network's WiFi.

There is a printer; (HP PageWide Pro 477dw), which is connected on our wired network.

Two apps have been installed on this phone;

1. Microsoft Outlook application
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.microsoft.office.outlook&hl=en_IE
2. HP Print Service Plugin
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.hp.android.printservice

Email has been synced with Microsoft Office 365 and Outlook 2016 on network connected PCs.

I have logged in successfully to the Microsoft Outlook application on the Android phone and can access, send and receive emails.

The problem is that there is no option to print emails or to highlight an attachment in email and click print.

When viewing pictures from gallery and web pages through Google on the Android phone, there is the option for print and printing works successfully.

Is there a way of printing emails from the Outlook application on Android phones or if not, then what other alternative would there be?

Thanks,
Robbie

I need help to get a code for sim puk

Hi,

I have a Samsung Note 9 phone.

My contacts are located in two different places; sim card and Gmail account.

There are different contacts in both of these places but would like all imported to Note 9 phone.

Also, there are some contacts which are the same in both places.

Is there a way of syncing together contacts in Gmail with contacts on this phone, where contacts were imported from sim card, without having duplication of contacts?

Thanks,
Robbie

Hi,

I am working on an iOS application (in nativescript) that needs to get and post some data to an API in the background each 5 minutes. Now it seems that iOS is closing my application so I took a look at the long running tasks section of https://docs.nativescript.org/core-concepts/ios-runtime/how-to/BackgroundExecution but I fail to see how I should configure an interval now.

Also while it works correctly on the simulator (not thinking about the interval) with the debug fetch command, I can't get it to work correctly on a real device.

I've created a PWA app on https and its working great on android
When you visit the website, it asks to add to home screen, and after this it loads in full screen - all good with android!

With iOS it doesn't show a prompt to add to home screen.
I've tried with safari
Is there anyway possible to get this working where notifies user to add to homescreen on iOS ?

I have an application called Clipper installed  on my LG Smartphone. It syncs with my Samsung  tablet. It stores all clippings loosely and securely stores my hundreds of usernames  and passwords.

My crappy Smartphone is having serious problems,  so I am entertaining the thought of wiping it and Reset to Factory Settings.
Will the synced copy of Clipper on my tablet survive if I wipe the phone?

I looking for suggestions for our on-call after hours clinicians.

We currently have a business need where a rotation of 10 users needs to be contacted on a rotating but changing schedule. We need to be able to route call the users personal, business and home phones. Additionally, we'd like to be able to text or message users if necessary.

What program or application are you guys using for on-call or after hours support?

Support the build.gradle configured with compileSdkVersion 25. Should the dependencies be run in same version, ie 'com.android.support:appcompat-v7:25.4.0'  ?

In resource\XML, there is 28 - 25 to choose from. Does it mean the android apps will be test to run under api 25 - 28 ?

Can I say my Android app will be compiled in v25 and will be tested in platform 25 - 28 ?

Thx

I am new to Samsung phones. I have a new S8 (running Android Oreo) and I want to be sure my notes can be restored if needed.

When I go to Setting > Cloud and Accounts > Samsung Cloud it shows Samsung Notes have synced but if I go to Notes > Settings > Import Data > (and select from google drive or Samsung account) I get the message: "No Memo data in Samsung account"

I don't have many notes yet so I can delete them and restore them to test it but how do I access the data to restore it? When I go to import data why does it say No Memo data?

Thanks,
PR

Hi everyone. I have an Android 7 device. It's not rooted. I need a file manager/utility that allows me to view the files & folders of the root directory; specifically the System and Data partitions. I don't need 'Write' permissions, just Read-Only. I want to copy some files. In other words, I don't want to root the device. I just need read-only access. I would prefer a file manager type app but I'm open to other methods.

I have tried Solid Explorer. It shows the System Partition but not the Data partition. Thanks.

Hi,

We have an Amazon Fire 7 tablet.

The plan is to use the Fire 7 tablet as a device to display information.

The problem is that when the tablet goes to sleep or runs out of power, the next time the tablet is turned on or woken up, the lock screen appears.

I would like to configure, with the use of an automation app, a function that will activate when the Fire 7 tablet displays its lock screen and automatically unlock by way of a swipe up action on the screen.

Is there an automation app that can do this, mainly a free app.

Thanks,
Robbie
