Normally, when I watch a YouTube video, I see the AutoPlay option above the "up next" videos on the right of the screen.
AutoPlay
However, for a video I uploaded, I don't see the same option.
Missing Option
I should say I have the mode of the 2nd video set to Unlisted, rather than Public. (Unlisted means that the only way someone can view it is via direct URL.)

How can I activate this option so I can start my day listening to this video and then have it move seamlessly onto the next one...

Thanks!

I want to use Instagram on my Macbook instead of on my phone. The way the app works is you can only upload photos on a mobile device. Is there a work-around so that I am able to use it on my Macbook?

Hi,

I just uploaded a video to YouTube as "unlisted". (To share with family members via a direct link, but not publicly available.)  After I did so, I forgot to copy the link. And, since the video's unlisted, I can't search for it.

Is there a way to view all videos I've posted? When I go to "My Channel",  all I see are playlists (of other peoples' videos) that I've compiled.

Thanks,
Steve

I'm having trouble. I logged in using my Facebook account. But i cannot manage my password.

i'm unable to sign in unless i use that facebook account, and in doing so i can't change my password.

When I get to 'sign in' I can't. i use the password reset which gives me a temporary password. I go to my setting page, try resetting the password but it doesn't not accept my temporary password so I can't change it either

We have a client that wants to start getting involved in social network having presence in Tweeter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram and Pinterest.  Not only posting its business “news” or “new product” but articles of interest that come upon on a daily bases or even re-post articules or contents from other business partners, etc.

Besides the fact the client wants to know what  is the best way to start, one concern is posting data.  That  is comments, pictures, etc.

We want to know how to go about posting an issue through all these social networks.

For example, we found an artificial intelligence topic interesting and wanted to post it.  We download the article, download some images, prepare it and posted to Facebook.  How do the user go about  to modify contents prior posting to all Tweeter Facebook LinkedIn Instagram Pinterest? Or is there a way that the user can creat a “template” and then post them to all?

FYI if you post to Twitter
Starting tomorrow, Twitter will no longer allow you to post the same message to multiple accounts simultaneously. Twitter developers explained on their blog this change is to ensure Twitter is free from spam. This change may be due in part to all the issues Facebook has been seeing with spam and "fake news". Will this help Twitter or should this have just been in place all along?

This change may be due in part to all the issues Facebook has been seeing with spam and "fake news".

Twitter's fake news issue is much larger than Facebook's, thanks to the anonymous nature of their platform.

Twitter is just now giving some transparency to users, by publishing guidelines for how-to not get your account purged as a bot. Last month they purged a ton of bots and a lot of 'real' accounts were caught in the cross-fire:
https://www.theverge.com/2018/2/21/17032798/twitter-russian-bot-purge-conservative-complaint

These mass bot purges are becoming commonplace:
https://www.rawstory.com/2017/08/twitter-suspends-army-of-fake-accounts-after-trump-thanks-propaganda-bot-for-supporting-him/

Twitter is plagued with bots. Apparently a common thing bots do is post the same thing over and over. Now if you are programming a bot, you know not to do that.

App Development

Apart from its culture, demographics, and beliefs, Indian infrastructure is also quite complex, especially because of the challenge of overpopulation that stares us right in the eye. Due to this, it has been quite difficult to anticipate the traffic behavior, directions, local businesses, and many other things, with accuracy. When Google Maps was launched in India, it certainly helped, but also showed us that we need a better solution. Something that is indigenous, so that it knows the country inside out. Hence, MapMyIndia.

A mobile apps development company that works in sync with ISRO’s Bhuvan satellite - MapMyIndia recently launched its navigation and positioning app, created exclusively for India, and is already giving tough competition to Google Maps. It provides accurate information even for daily commuters. In fact, it has taken it a step further by including many live features that are extremely helpful, especially when you are in a country like India where traffic situations and even addresses change every now and then. So let’s take a look at what features it brings together to create something that is messing with the Google ‘bear’.

IoT Tracking

A big leap ahead for India with this IoT solution, the app uses its own IoT devices to track and collect information from different points through sensors. Making the best use of IoT technology, the app has been instilled with the ability to create real-time alerts for users and commuters. In case of a traffic jams, IoT sensors take note of the situation and suggest short and alternative routes to mitigate the traffic.

Voice-guidance

Matching shoulders with Google, the app also provides a voice navigation facility with turn-by-turn navigation support, which is expected to decrease the rate of road accidents that happen due to the lack of hands-free GPS systems.

Floating button for Reporting Issues

Apart from the data collection via the IoT system, there is a manual way of reporting issues i.e via people. Road damaged? Broken transport? Traffic jam in your area? Just take a picture and upload it to the relevant section in the app. Good thing is that the app has covered almost all kinds of issues that occur, including map issues, traffic issues, connectivity issues, and areas with specific access.

Tailored for India

Compared to Google Maps, MapMyIndia focuses on much more detail and list small businesses, facilities, shopping centers, and even personal addresses. However, because the app is still quite new to the market in terms of reach, it is still under the data collection phase, during which you may not find many small addresses in the app. But that is only for now because the database is constantly growing.

Detailed Information

Another reason why the app has great usability in India is that it provides complete information about a particular thing that you look for on the map. Apart from the address and direction, you also get a contact number, email, website and opening hours. Also, with the help of worldview, not only you can get details about a place, you can also see what people think of this place, based on the number of likes it has garnered.

Analytics

Some people just want more information about everything, including trips, so just an odometer and tachometer is not enough for them. MapMyIndia comes with trip analytics that allows info savvy people to track more. You can track the time of trip completion, estimated time of arrival, remaining distance, remaining time of arrival, and much more; on-the-go.

MapMyIndia has created something that is perfectly tailored to the ever-changing maps of India. However, one of the things that the application clearly lacks is user experience. The touch buttons and screens reflect subliminal efforts on the designing side.

Would facebook provide any evidence under any circumstances if copies of a users posts etc were required, and to whom would they release this information, e.g. only law enforcement?

Also if a user deleted a post - would FB be able to prove a post ever existed?

I am a software engineer and my personal Linked In page has hundreds of links, mostly to recruiters. They send me requests and I accept them sometimes.

But I have a couple of new topics where the power of Linked In may come in handy.

I have a business that has services which save merchants many thousands of dollars, and for which I intend to create a "sales funnel."

Can this be a distinct Linked-In page? How is it linked to my personal? The less, the better, I think.

Also, I have a book to launch, and hope to use whatever experience I gain on building a "sales funnel" for my business, would also apply for my launching my book.

It seems like I need two new Linked-In Pages. Or Profile?

How do they connect?

I have no problem with a large division, since I prefer that my book does not get in the way of business.

Thanks.

Does anyone else find it surprising and intriguing how protective and secretive Snapchat is, even when it comes to their own employees?

"The company has become so privacy-obsessed it blocks access to its own app at parties and events. At Snapchat’s NYC holiday party at the Beekman Hotel and its massive, $4 million New Year’s Eve blowout in Los Angeles, employees and guests had the cameras on their phones taped over."

Very good point about avoiding bad press. I was surprised because these days it seems to be the norm that app/social media companies highly encourage employees to use the product so they not only become internal experts but promote use of the product as brand evangelists.

Another fascinating part of that article mentioned how workers can't even speak to others about what they're working on.

Yeah that seems a bit drastic for that much secrecy.  But I know Apple just fired one of their engineers over something that was shared on social media.  https://www.theverge.com/2017/10/28/16565110/apple-engineer-iphone-x-youtube-video  Apple was making an example with that move for sure.

So, I mean, I get it, but it still does seem drastic to do with internal employees.

WHAT ARE THEY MAKING? ROCKETS?

When I first got about 3,500 followers on Twitter, I got responses when I sent out something of interest. Today, I may get one Like.

It's politically charged...but I send out dud after dud, and it seems like wasted time.

I still have just as many followers.

What could it be?

Could Twitter have blocked my account? And be sending to a tiny fraction of my follower base?

I personally feel that people should steer well clear of writing useful tips on "How to Write a Résumé" unless they are extremely well versed in what works and, of most importance, what does not work.  I think that the only people who are properly equipped to write such tips and articles are those who have a lot of experience in hiring staff for jobs and have therefore read or tried to read enough terrible, mediocre, and excellent résumés to be good judges of what grabbed their attention (good and bad).  Your linked page (How to Write a Good Resume - article on eliteessaywriters.com) demonstrates one of the pitfalls that becomes apparent when somebody tries to write an article on that subject, and the pitfall is trying to be too clever.

[A] Resume is not:
1. A summarization of the positions you held in the past

If I was the manager with the task of shortlisting applicants using their résumés and I saw the word "summarization" used in one, it would go straight into the "trying to be too clever" pile destined for the litter basket or shredder.  The word is either "summary" or "summation".  A conglomeration of the two words does not make a proper or better word because it has an "ize" in it.

There are already far too many "useful tips" articles about résumé writing floating around the Internet.  If the purpose of writing LinkedIn blogs is to "expand your influence", then I would suggest that unless you (LinkedIn member, not you personally) have already reached a level where you are expert on offering "Do and Don't" articles about how to succeed in job applications, then refrain from doing so.  The vast majority of LinkedIn members are there to find new or better jobs, and while sitting in that queue I do not think it is appropriate to try and provide tips to others in the same queue.  It equates to somebody on a modest income telling others how to get rich before managing to actually become rich.

I don't mean to sound scathing, but I feel quite strongly about this one aspect mentioned in your otherwise useful article.

The search for the perfect social sharing platform can make you feel a bit like Goldilocks. Some platforms deliver well in one area and fail in another. In this article, I evaluate three well-known social platforms—Buffer, CoSchedule, and Hootsuite—and compare and contrast offerings.
