We have a magento 2 website on digital ocean cloud servers.  We reset the droplet root password and after that several things broke, such as the category pages would not show anymore, the search stopped working and all the payment systems give errors.  A developer fixed the category pages, but several errors remain.

This site is live and losing orders, so would love to figure this out soon, thanks in advance for your help.

Why would updating the root password on a droplet break parts of the website?

Also, it seems anything related to an API stopped working, such as Stripe, PayPal, shipping and some graphs in the admin that show how much was made, the one on the Magento 2 dashboard.

The site is set up with Magento 2.2.8 and is also using cloudflare.

Things we have already considered:

Cloudflare caused the error and is still blocking the API calls?  But if this is the case why?

Our developer has left us and we need help figuring this out if anyone has any idea or similar experience as this please let me know.

Here is the stripe error as an example.

Hello,
I am working on the Stripe integration for the subscription based service. So far, after the successful payment (either monthly or annual based defined in Stripe plans), I handle checkout.session.complete event and out of that data create in local database subscription for the user. That part is working fine.
However, what would be best approach for checking the subscription statuses? In case of the hundreds of users, it seems that cron job that will fetch them daily and test the expiration date doesn't sound very efficient.

I was wondering if setting up a webhook that will listen to invoice.upcoming, invoice.payment_succeeded and incomplete_expired (and effectively canceling user subscription) would be a better option, but considering that I have very little experience in the life cycles of subscriptions, I am not sure. (not trying to create XY Problem here, just trying to explain)

Basically, my question is, what would be the best option to check Stripe subscription statuses and according to the responses handle local subscriptions?

In the woocommerce stripe plugin I am using this hook to save customer data into my stripe account
add_filter( 'wc_stripe_force_save_source', '__return_true' );

but I want customer data to be deleted automatically after once payment is complete. Which filter or hook do I need to make it work so that customer data gets deleted automatically once the payment has been made.

Occasionally a black stripe (or a square-ish region) appears on screen. It makes the content obscured by itself not usable - you can't click nor you can preview what's underneath.
Sometimes - see one of the screenshots the are affected is a see through (!) - it is supposed to be a maximised windows , yet you can see desktop icons through it (!!!)
Happens on a handful of PCs in our office.
Has been happening for over a year now.
  • We all use two screen environment.
  • Browser we use is Google Chrome.
  • Systems we use is Dell Optiplex
  • Occurs on Windows 10 and Windows 7 too
  • Graphics card for two screen environment is ATi Radeon. I am using very much recent drivers from ATi (not from Dell).
  • Affected window when moved onto the other screen is absolutely OK.
  • Issue is impossible to reproduce just like that - you need to wait for it to reoccur. Typically you can expect one to occur once a week or so
Very annoying.
  • HOW DO I SHORT TIME REMEDY THIS? When it occurs I visit screen resolution settings to switch screen resolution forth and back and it goes - the stripe is then gone

Anyone can confirm what this is all about? Windows graphics subsystem? AMD drivers? Chrome?

I am trying to copy 200 GB single .bak files using ROBOCOPY.
When i test with single file (200 GB) it, took 2 Hrs. to copy from Source to Destination (this is NAS)

Then i took the SQL backup of same file with stripe, Like
dbpart1.bak
dbpart2.bak
dbpart3.bak
dbpart4.bak
dbpart5.bak

each file is around 40 GB.

Then i created 5 separate robocopy scripts and executed separately. Eventhough it tooks same amount of time.

c:\windows\system32\robocopy /V /R:0 /W:1 /LOG+:SQLbackup_part1.txt \\source\backup  F:\Backup *part1.bak

I need to integrate Apple Pays decrypted Payment Token Format into a Stripe Rest API call. This does not require any Stripe SDK's or JS files. The raw apple pay token information has already been decrypted ready for stripe to process via 'Source', 'Token', 'Charge' etc. Stripe support will not disclose the solution but acknowledge its possible, why, i am not sure? Spreedly does exactly as i am describing with Stripe, passing in the information below, but how is it correctly structured?

This is the what a decrypted Apple Pay payment token format looks like:

{"applicationPrimaryAccountNumber":"4xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx","applicationExpirationDate":"211130","currencyCode":"840","transactionAmount":1000,"deviceManufacturerIdentifier":"000000000000","paymentDataType":"3DSecure","paymentData":{"onlinePaymentCryptogram":"/random+stuff=","eciIndicator":"7"}}

Hi,

I'm building a basic marketplace at the moment, however there are 3 parties involved in every product / sale.

When a customer purchases a product, let's say for $100 I need to split the $100 three ways on the fly:

- party 1: 70%
- party 2: 20%
- party 3: 10%

I was hoping to use Stripe so that each party could connect to the platform using Stripe Connect but Stripe have said that they do not allow payments to be split like this unless the platform owner is keeping the majority of the funds. I do not want to handle any of the payments... I want them split on the fly.

Can anyone recommend a payment processor that will support this? Thank you in advance for your help.
