We are having SugarCRM enterprise with good hardware very frequently users are getting httpd 500 server error this happens to all users at the same time, once restart the mysql server then works for some time like 30 mins to one hour approx and again the same issue httpd 500 server error just before this occurs very slow experience and then finally ends up with httpd 500 server error,  some times if users reload it works some times I have to restart the mysql service, I am running mysql 5.6.

just added max_connections=5000 as mentioned above but not sure this will resolve can you please suggest best practice performance steps setting up for mysql server , thanks in advance

We are looking at deploying SuiteCRM Company wide.  We have a development environment which we are testing all the required features and modules that we will required, and at the same time demoing to the management teams what the system will eventually look like.

We have a problem in that at current we have around 6 different websites/microsites that are hosted and designed by 6 different companies (all sadly managed by our marketing department, hence 6 companies!)

At current the contact form comes in to an email address (webenquires@) and then gets routed via our ancient mailserver.

We will be migrating to office 365 the same time as we roll out the new CRM.

I am looking for a solution to automatically create a lead from an inbound email in SuiteCRM.
Yes I am aware of doing it via campaigns and forms, however trying to get all 6 companies to make the correct changes at go live the same time will fail.  

Also we need to demo this system for a few weeks to various management teams, and would like to implement the form changes 1 site and company at a time allowing for problems.

What I need is a temporary solution to do this via:

Either MySQL or inner Join
PHP coding
Or some kind of workflow

The correct inbound email address (webenquiries) is already configured and working in SuiteCRM.

I tried the following inner join from the example above which is based on Sugar CE6.5 failed.  I modified it to work with SuiteCRM and it now generates a Lead, …

Hi Everyone,

I have a question to find some simple clarification.
I did do a upgrade of VTiger 6.4 to 6.5 and get a deadlock error when creating a new lead. After researching I saw that it could have something to do with the vtiger_version.

I did restore it all back to Version 6.4 and all if running fine there. Before I retry the upgrade from 6.4 to 6.5 I noticed that the vtiger_version table indicated the following:
old_version: 5.4.0
current_version:  5.4.0

This VTiger install was initially installed on 5.4 years ago. Than it was upgraded to version 6 by and later to 6.4.

Long story short, my question is: As I am running version 6.4 now for many month, but what should the correct vtiger_version table say? Its clear it should be current_version:  6.4.0 but what should be in old_version? Should it be 6.0 since I uprated from 6 to 6.4 or should it contain the original installed version which was 5.4.0? or maybe 6.4.0 as this is what I run now.

I hope the question makes sense.

I am considering a small mass emailing to promote my new book. But I do not have the technology yet to validate who has opened the email and who has not.

I once use MailGun and found that had a great technology for that kind of validation.

Does anyone have suggestions about what other things are important when validating the response rates from a mass mailing?

I need to track:
- conversion rate of a purchase, based upon the number who saw the email
- I need to know who saw the email so I could consider sending it a second time to those who did not see it the first time

What else?

What tools exist? Free is better.

I am considering Zoho because of its ability to trace whether the email was opened.

I understand there are two approaches to handle the duplicate records when same prospect enters the CRM application
approach 1) append duplicate prospect data to a single record approach 2) create duplicate record and mark it status as "Repeated/Duplicated"

approach1) if we go for append duplicate prospect data to a single record would it be possible to have a marketing analysis like current month how many leads entered into SugarCRM including the duplicate leads also would it be possible to understand prospect journey touch points through multi channel showing interest.
OR
approach2)same prospect entering through multiple channels setting duplicate records to “repeated” status would be the most straightforward to implement and link it with the original lead may provide the marketing analysis like current month how many leads entered into SugarCRM including the duplicate leads and from which all campaigns and source.
if we go for approach two then the manual operation can be applied with the same treatment that is if the already existing prospect makes enquiry to the call centre then call centre user applies the same treatment that is copy/create the existing lead and mark the status as "Repeated" and attach it to the respective campaigns
Please suggest which approach in the above is  recommended and best practice , thanks in advance

In Sugar CRM 7.8, I have a custom filter that requires a date.  The canned "today", "tomorrow", et cetera ranges work great but not in this instance.  Therefore, I am left with selecting a date, which is fine if you want to edit the filter each day.  Our users do not, so I had to create the filter via PHP and set date.  This works but apparently requires daily Quick Repair and Rebuild (QRR).

My question is, does anyone know if you can customize the JavaScript for the list view of modules?  Specifically Opportunities.
I have customized other views (e.g., record or create) via JavaScript by placing {view}.js file in custom\modules\{module}\clients\base\views\{view} no problem, so figure it would be as easy as custom\modules\Opportunities\clients\base\views\list\list.js but did not work.  I used extendsFrom:'RecordListView' if that is what was wrong.

If anyone successfully has done this, please let me know what I am missing otherwise I guess I'll have to stick with the PHP customization.

We are running rhel7 that is redhat enterprise linux 7.3 and our application sugarcrm requires php-imap but rhel7 does not support php-imap hence downloaded epel and tired to install I get below dependency issue
downloaded and install php56-php-imap from rpm finder below error,
rpm -Uvh php56-php-imap-5.6.31-1.el7.remi.x86_64.rpm
error: Failed dependencies:
        php56-php-common(x86-64) = 5.6.31-1.el7.remi is needed by php56-php-imap-5.6.31-1.el7.remi.x86_64
[root@crm1 indar]#
should I have to disable rhel repo and depend on epel and install if yes can you please provide the steps for epel for rhel7

We are using sales force automation software sugarcrm and we would like to cookie the prospect when the form is filled in our web/landing pages/social channels so that  when they visit our website we would like to get notification, I understand such is possible with pardot, marketo, hubspot  and act-on marketing automation software but at present we prefer to use only web alert notification functionality hence would like to know any standalone application or plugin available and same is installed on our website. please suggest.

You will have to forgive me here as I am in no way a sugar or php expert :)

I have just changed the IP of our sugar instance (web server and db) as part of a larger piece of work. I can no longer access the sugar site, instead I get a 'this page cannot be displayed' error.

Looking at the sugar log I see errors such as:

08/19/17 00:48:06 [1968][-none-][FATAL] Could not connect to server xxxxxx as xxxxxx.
08/19/17 00:48:06 [1968][-none-][FATAL] Unable to retrieve system settings Query Failed:SELECT category, name, value FROM config WHERE category = N'tracker'::: Database Is Not Connected

I have modified a php script to test connection to the database server using the creds specified in config files and it passes.

Name resolution on each server works fine.

I have been through various config files that I could find and replaced any legacy IP's but still get this error, there may be more config files to adjust but I have no idea where they are.

The environment is Windows Server 2008R2 and SQL Server 2008R2 (sorry!), separate servers.

Please do let me know what extra info you may need.

We are using sugarcrm application for marketing and sales force automation, we do many online and offline marketing activities like googe search, email campaign, facebook campaign, google display Ads and offline like hoardings, news paper etc, the challenge is the we have big list of online integration with sugarcrm.  At present we are handling , one of the example , if the search user in the internet clicks on the  Adwords that is of our campaign  and click on it then fill the form where the form code will have UTM Source as Google and when form is filled and submitted it pushes the lead to sugarcrm and at sugarcrm side based on the UTM Source = Google then Lead Source is Web-Google. please find the attached list, day by day such list is growing and some times the digital agency does not exactly place the keyword as per the Sugar mapping hence lead source becomes Blank.  also report source columns are too big . Please suggest the best practice for the lead source and UTM source. thanks in advance.

I am using sales force automation sugarcrm and we are evaluating the CTI integration either the complete cloud telephony or hybrid, one of the service provider has this hybrid where they do not charge for inbound and outbound call per minute unlike the complete cloud telephony instead they will host their server may be PBX and that is connected to their data center but application will used is of their platform, and calls will be routed to us directly from telco both the inbound and outbound unlike the complete cloud where calls are routed from their data centre.
please suggest the best solution to go for, pros and cons please. thanks in advance.

We are having SugarCRM runs on php, apache and mysql 5.6.  we have a module called inventory which has project, block as modules in SugarCRM , can you please help me how to take schema in each table with top 10 commands and this to be provided to the developer. please help me with steps and by taking schema of every table with top 10 commands will it affect instance as it is production server, and how to take this through the  shell login with mysql root and also is it possible to achieve this though phpmyadmin. please provide me the steps , thanks in advance.

I am we are using SugarCRM for sales force automation though the server hardware is with good config still the performance is low, slow loading while login and as well listing the leads and fetching reports takes more time, we have around 150 users and we are using sugar enterprise. not really sure should I have to host database server i,e mysql in a separate instance , this application is running on redhat enterprise linux with httpd2.4, mysql5.6 and php56,
PHP modules and settings were able to install all but could not mange mcrypt as it was not supported by redhat, also could not install libsodium extension however without these two i,e mcrypt and libsodium still instance is found to be working not sure if the performance issue that is load time is consuimg more is due to this , the perfromance is slow within the same network in my lan where sugarcrm is hosted . please suggest how to resolve this. thanks

We are using SugarCRM for sales force automation and we keep sending promotional emails and as well transnational emails, though transnational emails are lesser compared to the promotional emails. all users and marketing campaigns email accounts as of G-suite accounts hence present challenge we send 500 external mails as per the g-suite limitations. hence going for bulk mail services we decided to go for sendgrid going for a plan monthly 50K mails,
1. can you please suggest the best practice as SendGrid provides two ways to send email through their SMTP relay or through their Web API.  
2. for transnational mails that is on the progress of our product after purchase or support can we use sendgrid smtp relay and for promotional through web api  or anyone would do please suggest.

3. if we use sendgrid SMTP relay does it affect our IP reputation that is  sugarcrm  hosted that IP and if we use web api then our IP i,e sugarcrm does not get affected please suggest

Some years back MS CRM a person would purchase CRM and install it to their local server.  Since there are a lot of different flavors of CRM out there today, like sugarCRM, vtiger, ZurmoCRM, suiteCRM, etc., can we purchase MS CRM for web server and install it to our own web server of choice? And how can we go about it?

I look at this list and see what I thought were low prices, but I thought "users" were admins. I expect to have thousands of sales people, maybe 10,000 even, paying perhaps a $10/month fee. And most of that fee needs to go to cover my management costs, not the costs of my CRM service.
