We are using SugarCRM for sales force automation and we keep sending promotional emails and as well transnational emails, though transnational emails are lesser compared to the promotional emails. all users and marketing campaigns email accounts as of G-suite accounts hence present challenge we send 500 external mails as per the g-suite limitations. hence going for bulk mail services we decided to go for sendgrid going for a plan monthly 50K mails,
1. can you please suggest the best practice as SendGrid provides two ways to send email through their SMTP relay or through their Web API.  
2. for transnational mails that is on the progress of our product after purchase or support can we use sendgrid smtp relay and for promotional through web api  or anyone would do please suggest.

3. if we use sendgrid SMTP relay does it affect our IP reputation that is  sugarcrm  hosted that IP and if we use web api then our IP i,e sugarcrm does not get affected please suggest

We are evaluating to provide crome note books to sales force team who are using SugarCRM enterprise , at present they are using SugarCRM mobile app but there is a requirement from them for the laptop/note book, also we have integrated SugarCRM with google.
 please suggest me does crome notebook does it have a portability or supports dongle/data card for the internet,  this is in additional to the wifi connectivity also is it possible to control the app level like to restrict users only use business applications like CRM and ERP.

Some years back MS CRM a person would purchase CRM and install it to their local server.  Since there are a lot of different flavors of CRM out there today, like sugarCRM, vtiger, ZurmoCRM, suiteCRM, etc., can we purchase MS CRM for web server and install it to our own web server of choice? And how can we go about it?

I look at this list and see what I thought were low prices, but I thought "users" were admins. I expect to have thousands of sales people, maybe 10,000 even, paying perhaps a $10/month fee. And most of that fee needs to go to cover my management costs, not the costs of my CRM service.

I seriously think I need that open source option where all I need to do is host it. Sugar, the predecessor to SugarCRM. Please tell me about that one. And is it difficult to support it?

Have installed redhat enterprise linux 7.2 and installed httpd24, mysql54 and php54 , one of the prerequisite package for installing sugarcrm application is  php54-php-imap but this  is not available in rhel7.2 subscription channel.  please suggest from where we can install this package or is there work around.

I am trying to setup Ubuntu 16.04 x64 with LAMP for SugarCRM web application, I am new to Linux and still learning and have been using Windows for years.

I have done a lot of searching but I cant see a simple example on how to compile php 5.5 and can only see how to apt-get packages.

We have approx 11 projects each of the project has 5 to 7 sales users, presently all the calls are directly landing to the sales users as every project is announced with one DID number and our PBX is configured in round robin calls routing for the sales team. Also customer support payment follow-up for the existing customers approx 4 for each project in total 7 projects as of now customer complaints are manual and hence customer used to visit the location or send email.

I have proposed call centre operations for the sales, customer support and customer complaints of total 8 resource assuming on any day one resource will be weekly off and one may be absent hence 6 resource working.
1. the process is restructuring the marketing/sales existing process with the call centre enabled all the inbound calls of all the 11 projects will first handled by the front line staff of call centre only the potential leads will be assigned to the sales users though the sugarcrm as the call centre application is integrated with sugarcrm application.
2. customer complaints will be handled through the case management as we have suagrcrm enterprise edition
Management has accepted for this proposal but asking me justification for 8 resource, I planned to tell that each project 2 man resource effort will be reduced hence 22-8 but let us calculate 16-8 hence 8 man resource will be reduced more than that effective tracking of leads and its activities will be achieved.

call centre operations comes under which department, I am working as an Head IT and I was given an opportunity to implement the sales force automation I could successfully manage to implement marketing automation, sales force and customer support as these are part of any good CRM application in additional I did sell the marketing automation software act-on which is native integration with sugarcrm the one we use for sales force, marketing and support. trained the sales users on lead scoring, utilised power of email campaigns and made the leads to cookie and get to know the insights of customer by seeing their behaviour on website, Also implemented the call centre which is integrated to Sugarcrm we have many regions call centre got very much successful in one region as all the calls are first handled by the front line staff and then these are created as leads and assigned to the sales user in the sugarcrm and sales users who are in mobile who use the sugarmobile app will get the lead to their Sugarcrm mobile app and they process from there on, also gave a thought to track the last activity like calls, emails, sms from the suagrcrm and enabled.  I am not sure if I can be the functional head for the call centre operations many internal are asking me to head the call centre , please suggest

We were getting the below warning in one of our PROD environment.

Query execution time of 30.0 seconds exceeded the threshold of 10 seconds. Thread: 28; Database: PROD_MSCRM; Server:PRODDB01; Query: update tablename set col=......

Using below option, we have changed LongQueryThersholdInSeconds column value in ServerSetingProperties table of MSCRM_Config Database.

update MSCRM_CONFIG..ServerSettingsProperties set IntColumn = '30' where ColumnName='LongQueryThresholdInSeconds'

How do i get CRM to recognize it? The error i’m getting still says what the original setting was. Not the increased time i set it to.

Please advise me on this issue.

I am having redhat enterprise linux 6.7 running as sugarcrm server this we are using for sales fore and marketing automation it is observed very often the directory level and file level permission gets changed and application showing up an error when the lead or calls records are saved.

Sugar requires some very specific file permissions settings in order to install. The user the web server is running under needs to have read and write permissions on many Sugar files. At a minimum, the following files and directories need to be writable from your web server:
./config.php
./config_override.php
./sugarcrm.log
./cache/ and all subdirectories and files
./custom/ and all subdirectories and files
./data/ and all subdirectories and files
./modules/ and all subdirectories and files
Sugar running on Linux expects the listed files and directories to be owned by the same user running the webserver and to also be in the same group. Sugar would then require the following permissions:
775 for the directories listed above
664 for the config.php file and all files in the directories listed above
To set the permissions on Linux you can execute the following commands modified to replace apache and apache with your web server user and group:

chown apache:apache -R <Sugar Directory>
chmod 755 -R <Sugar …

Ive been trying to install SugarCRM Enterprise on Ubuntu server, however the PHP has to be version 5.3 or 5.4 and when I install from apt-get install it installs 5.9.

I thought I could just download and install directly from a tar file from the PHP site but cant find it on the php.net site.

Ive read a few articles which suggest changing the repositories, however cant seem to get them working correctly :-(

Anyone have any ideas how I can install 5.3 or 5.4 on Ubuntu server LTS?

Want to achieve the following:
1. sending a massive amount of emails over a short time period (ie. 75,000 to 100,000 emails in under one day).
2. should be allowed or possible to import 30,000 to 50,000 email contacts at one go or per one import session
3. will subscribe for third party smtp email service provider for this service

Suggestion/Recommendation request  
a)can you please suggest to achieve the above,  is it recommended to setup the infrastructure by procuring the good hard ware server  and install Sugarcrm and with dedicated upstream internet bandwidth 20 to 25 mbps
 OR
 b)going for cloud service of dedicated server and setup sugarcrm and configure the third party smtp server so that need not invest on server and huge dedicated bandwidth recurring cost , please let us know the names of cloud service provider to whom I can reach

the reason iam not thinking about the cloud based email marketing solution like constant contact, mailchimp because they do not allow massive email campaigns on one go/same day also very expensive

considerations or limitations: it is accepted by my functional heads on non-opted-in email accounts will make the email delivery to spam but still they are okay with this. can you please suggest on what best I can do here for my company needs

I have a sugarcrm deployed in a Linux server.

I have a control Access hardware, and i want to know if it is possible to integrate it with sugarcrm. For instance i know asterisk VoIP can be integrated with SugarCRM but i don't know how.

I want the control Access instaled, and when ppl swipe the card sugar CRM knows who are entered, etc...

How can a hardware be integrated with the software? what special skills i need to do that? I think an API would be required, who can help me with that? a php programer?

I need some tips to do that, i don't know where to start.

Hello,

I have a server running sugarCRM, it's work fine, but when i try to load a languague pack.zip i have the 500 server error.

I found some comments talking about permisión issues. This:

any file in your public_html directory must be in 644 permissions and each file must be in 755 permissions in order to work correctly. This is simply due to the fact that our shared server run in a suPHP enviroment

i can't understand, any file in 644 and each file in 755? i don't know what exactly i have to do.

Anyway, i don't know if that is the reason of the problem. any ideas?

I have installed rhel6.6 and completed  installing the mysql55 packages now before installing the sugarcrm 7.5 would like to configure the mysql server to use InnoDB database engine. please let me know in which config file I have to enable the innoDB.
I would like to configure InnoDB as the default configuration before installing the sugarcrm , please suggest how to configure this. thanks in advance

I having sugarcrm which works on lamp in one box here the version is 6.5 and now as sugarcrm have released 7.5 did setup another box and installed sugarcrm 7.5 this also works on lamp stack,  

both are working now the requirement is to disconnect the database of 7.5 and connect to the database of 6.5, for this created mysql user in 6.5 and granted full privileges and imported the database 7.5 to this 6.5 user and also did changes in the 7.5 in the config.php but not able to connect to the 7.5 when try database faillure from the browser , looks some where iam going wrong can you please suggest on which all files the database pointing to be changed in 7.5

I did install rhel6.6 and did install apache, mysql and php, as per the requirement for sugarcrm 7.5 it is a requirement to install php54-php-imap, when did so Iam getting an error , please find the below error and do the needful to resolve this
yum install php54-php-imap
