Thunderbird

Thunderbird is an email, newsgroup, news feed, and chat (XMPP, IRC, Twitter) client that supports POP and IMAP and LDAP address completion. The vanilla version is not a personal information manager, although the Mozilla Lightning extension adds PIM functionality. Thunderbird can manage multiple email, newsgroup, and news feed accounts and supports multiple identities within accounts. Features such as quick search, saved search folders, advanced message filtering, message grouping, and labels help manage and find messages. Thunderbird incorporates a Bayesian spam filter, a whitelist based on the included address book, and can also understand classifications by server-based filters such as SpamAssassin. Extensions allow the addition of features.

I have set up a new Office 365 account for my domain.
Previously the e-mail was on IMAP.

Having set up the accounts on 365 I want to repopulate the e-mail folders for each user.

I have backups for the Windows users with MozBackup and the Mac users in Outlook OLT files.

365 doesn';t seem to recognise these backups to import the data.

I read what I could copy and paste/drag and drop them within Thunderbird into the new account.
However whenever I do then en-masse I get the following error?

The current command did not succeed. The mail sevrer for accounts X@Y.Z reponded [TRYCREATE] Folder is not found.

What's the workaround?

I have found several keyboard macros for TBird, but I want to take it another step: set it up to run periodically.

I just bought a new DELL Latitude E5270 Laptop and installed Thunderbird on it.  It connected to my POP3 E-Mail account just fine, even downloaded the E-Mails that were out there and correctly dropped a lot of trash into the junk folder.   However, once I exited the program and re-entered it, every e-mail in my Inbox was gone and even though I tried to send new E-Mails to that account, it never downloaded them again.   I read through every forum I could find, checked all the common parameters people are saying might cause such a thing, but nothing.   It simply does not work.   I uninstalled BitDefender Anti-virus and it started working again, so I thought the problem was an incompatibility of some kind.   However, when I went back into Thunderbird today, it again deleted all the e-mails in my Inbox.   Do you have any idea what might be causing this?

I have a business client who has an AOL email account. They have been using Thunderbird with their email account. It is not sending or receiving email. They can use the internet. I shut off the firewall and the antivirus software ( Avast ). They can use the webmail version but don't like it. I check the ports. I uninstalled the profile and made a new one, I uninstalled the software and reinstalled. I installed Mail Bird to check with anouther client and that didn't work. I tried setting it up with a different email from my own domain I know works and that didn't work with either software. The system is running windows 10. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

gmail creates hundreds of empty labels in my gmail account. I have the normal labels Inbox, Sent, ... and then below appears
a label "gmail" with many nested "gmail" inside. There are a great number of these top level labels. I can use the remove
 function to delete them but they immediately return. Google does not care when gmail is broken and only provides support
if I have my own domain and then add paid gmail support. It does not appear to be possible to buy support fro a gmail.com email account.

My Xfinity email fails to sync with my gmail Inbox. Thunderbird syncs and shoes the nested labels. Android gmail also works.

Another anomaly is that email sent to my gmail account sometimes appear only in my comcast Inbox on Thunderbird.  Thsi is also true for my Inbox on the Xfinity web site.

As an additional test from Thunderbird I sent test email from gmail to both my comcast and gmail accounts and second to gmail  only. I sent a 3'rd email from my web gmaiI. I received the comcast in the Thunderbird Inbox but only the 3'rd gmail. All 3 are in the "All Mail" folder. . I also checked with my web gmail and see the same results.
