Twitter is an online social networking service that enables users to send and read short 140-character messages called "tweets". Users can group posts together by topic or type by use of hashtags – words or phrases prefixed with a "#" sign. Similarly, the "@" sign followed by a username is used for mentioning or replying to other users. Users access Twitter through the website interface, SMS, or mobile device app. The Twitter Web interface uses the Ruby on Rails framework. The service's application programming interface (API) allows other web services and applications to integrate with Twitter.

Hello, i´ve received several emails in my hotmail/outlook account from a gmail account.

It seems like the person that sent me that emails, haven´t provide any name or surname, any data in the account.
I tried to find out a way to reverse search of gmail accounts, but nothing give me any results, as the account seems to be 2 month old, and the owner did nothing with it. The purpose of that account was for mailing me and only me.

I tried several methods of reverse search

- Facebook. Twitter, linkedin, etc
- Headers and ip trace (gmail dont give you senders ip)
- reverse search online services
- google search
- google+ search
- chrome extensions

nothing gives me anything for me to deduct the identity of the sender.

Any ideas guys?

Removing my TwitterFeed from LinkedIn

I can see the Twitter feed URL but not how to edit it.

How do I do this?
Trying to open web links, it defaults to Google.com. Windows 8, Lenovo lap top. I receive an e-mail from Twitter with a link to go to the website from which the short Tweet was originated. This only opens a new Google browser. I have only used this device a few times and not familiar with Windows 8 settings.

The links in that Tweet are supposed to to go the website(s). I see it trying to get there in the address bar but it then goes to Google.
What settings (all of them) do we need to make our Twitter page public, so others can see photos, etc.
We send a Tweet to someone and all we get is "it was sent successfully." That does not assure us that it was received.
I am a heavy Twitter user and now I am hearing that the Indian government is hiring data experts and buying a surveillance/spy software to find people's whereabouts like in China. Because they don't like the dissent. There are many activists out there (myself included) who would like to be secured to the hilt against this new government spying software too.

What should I do beside running TOR.
Can they trace my phone number?

Any answer would be appreciated.

I am in the process of syncing our company Facebook via a third party for a press release. I went into my Chrome settings to allow popups for this website so I could connect our Twitter and LinkedIn accounts. However, when I went to connect Facebook, I keep getting a pop-up window with the below error.

Any suggestions on how I can fix this so we can connect our Facebook account as a reference for the press release?

Thanks in advance!
If I tweet a link Twitter automatically picks a picture it embeds into that tweet. Is there some way to point out to Twitter (and perhaps also all the other social media sites Facebook, Instagram, ...) what picture to pick? Especially when you not integrate the typical set of social media buttons offering to post about the page, but if someone just posts a link to say a blog article? Is that perhaps simply the biggest picture detected to come from the same origin?

And if there is such a mechanism, can you even tell twitter to rather not display some picture, especially with a webpage not so well known and mostly textual, where the most prominent picture rather is a site logo only?

As one example I see links to Quora answers having pictures not even part of that answer as if there is some hidden tag or meta info as an official way to tell social media what picture to embed. If there is, how does this work generally? When something applies to Twitter, does it also apply to Twitter apps like HootSuite?

That's a bit fuzzy question, but I'd take any helpful hint on social media optimization. Is that a thing at all, aside from SEO?
What do I add to my robots.txt file to allow my twitter card to render?  The page in question is www.gopherstateevents.com.

how to identify which website my web link came from without using UTM codes

I have a website

now I create a link on my facebook page

and I also create a link on my twitter page

What I want to know is there a way for me to trace which website (facebook or twitter) the person used the link,  I know I can just add utm_source to the web-link as a paramter and create a modified link for each website.
But what I want to do is have the same web link just the www.mycompany.com, and push that link to any website. So that if anyone clicks on that link I will be able to see which website they came from

I am wondering if there is any data that comes along with the link that would enable me to work out which site the link came from
I have a web page:

It has the  meta tags below

But none of the og properties seem to mkge any difference in facebook or twitter. (image, title, description)

Any ideas?

How can I post in twitter with an clickable image. An image that when clicked it redirects to a URL
Would facebook provide any evidence under any circumstances if copies of a users posts etc were required, and to whom would they release this information, e.g. only law enforcement?

Also if a user deleted a post - would FB be able to prove a post ever existed?
why is twitter 140 characters

why is email to sms on a phone (140-12=128) characters (beginning of message is empty subject written as "subject:Re: ")
can I eliminate "subject:Re: " to get 12 characters back?
When I first got about 3,500 followers on Twitter, I got responses when I sent out something of interest. Today, I may get one Like.

It's politically charged...but I send out dud after dud, and it seems like wasted time.

I still have just as many followers.

What could it be?

Could Twitter have blocked my account? And be sending to a tiny fraction of my follower base?
Hi, we joined twitter before we had a smartphone, so the phone number on the account is a landline. Now we're locked out, and the only screen says, "Confirm your phone number and we'll send you an SMS message with a code". And they show the landline number.

We have no option to change the phone number, and the only options are "Help" Which is NO help, or log out.

Is there a way we can sneak in and change our phone number? Or is there an actual support email for twitter? Or anything that would actually help instead of being a total pain in the butt? Do you sense my frustration?

 :) Thanks for your help in advance.
I am looking for a tool to track social media comments for multiple sites (FB, Twitter, etc.)
I want to be able to select the date range / URL link to the FB and Twitter Page(s) and be able to extract the date of post and comment.   Does anyone know of a free tool that provides this?   I have seen a few that provide a keyword search, but not for comments posted to specific URL links.  Thanks for any assistance.
Don't we all love to stay connected with our friends and the world outside, no matter how busy we are? I need your suggestion to use these applications for pc. tell me about their features, which application is with non-ad.

Although I've tweeted only once or twice, I've had a Twitter account for three or four years. About a year ago I started getting email notifications from Twitter containing a foreign language. I simply deleted them.

Today, for the first time in a long time, I decided I wanted to tweet. When I logged into my account, I couldn't help but notice an unfamiliar photo and an unrecognizable language adjacent to my Twitter login (see screenshot below).

Omitted from the screenshot is the fact that Twitter indicates my location as Saudi Arabia. I live in the United States.

The Twitter site recommends that I change my password, but I'm wondering whether that will be enough. It appears to me as though someone else and I are sharing  a Twitter login. I'm considering deleting my account, but I don't know how and I haven't figured out how to submit  a support request to Twitter.
I am new to social media and was just invited onto a platform called "Alignable." I joined but need to fill out my profile.

Please explain what it is and how large they are?

I like that I am in touch with the organizer, which I think could be helpful as I work towards a press launch of my book.

Please help put it into perspective for me. Is it a good network? Who do they compete with?

I see sub-domains available. What's it do?
I lost a URL to a site where you could type the hashtag and find the number of followers.

This way I could see if #Harvey as bigger than #Harvey2017 or #HarveyHurricane.

Does anyone have that free service?

I can find all the users I want to entice to my cause, because they like certain Twitter posts.
Can I send them each a DM in Java code?
Here I come again with this question on how to achieve dynamic content loading when user scroll to the bottom of the page. Currently, my code is loading all the content from the db at once using ajax, but I don't want to load everything at once. I want it to load just like twitter or facebook. Below is my code and what I've been trying to do.

function yHandler() {
    var wrap = document.getElementById('homeFeed');
    var contentHeight = wrap.offsetHeight;
    var yOffset = window.pageYOffset;
    var y = yOffset + window.innerHeight;
    if (y >= contentHeight) {
        // Ajax call to get more dynamic data goes here, how do I integrate the ajax call here?
window.onscroll = yHandler;

function feed() {
    var xhttp;
    if (window.XMLHttpRequest) {
        // code for modern browsers
        xhttp = new XMLHttpRequest();
    } else {
        // code for IE6, IE5
        xhttp = new ActiveXObject("Microsoft.XMLHTTP");
    xhttp.onreadystatechange = function(response) {
        if (this.readyState == 4 && this.status == 200) {
            document.getElementById("homeFeed").innerHTML = this.response;
    xhttp.open("GET", "functions/feedUpdate_New.php", true);
<div id="homeFeed"></div>

Open in new window

PHP - feedUpdate_New.php

$sql = "SELECT message, audio, firstname, lastname FROM once WHERE username='myname'";
$query = mysqli_query($db_connect, $sql);
    while($row = mysqli_fetch_array($query, MYSQLI_ASSOC)) {
                    $message = $row['message'];
                    $audio = $row['audio'];
                    $firstname = $row['firstname'];
                    $lastname = $row['lastname'];

echo '<div id="parentContainer">';
      echo $message.'<br />';
      echo $firstname.''.$lastname;
echo '</div>';

Open in new window

I have more than 1000 lines returned from my database query back to the ajax call. But I want to use the
function yHandler()

Open in new window

to achieve the dynamic loading, but I'm not just getting how to integrate the ajax call inside my
function feed()

Open in new window

into the yHandler to get the dynamic loading working.
Do I need to add LIMIT into my sql statement? Or is there any other way to get this done?
Is there a piece of code I can put in a href which when you click the link shares the page in facebook or twitter?

I know you can use:

<a href="http://twitter.com/share?url=<URL>&text=<TEXT>via=<USERNAME>"><img src="tw-circle.png" border="0" height="36" width="36"></a>

But I want it to know the page it is on as it is for a page template.

Using the documentation found here http://vinceg.github.io/twitter-bootstrap-wizard/ I have created a tabbed form wizard with Parsley validation.
JSFiddle here
I have the form validating perfectly when using the top tabs to move between tab-panes however I am having trouble with the "next" and "previous" buttons.
On initial click of the "Next" button on the first tab-pane the validation seems to work fine however this is where the trouble begins. The "next" button then renders itself "disabled" and does not work any more.
From what I can read the trouble begins on line 2 of my js. Line 3 (commented out) is my attempt at a fix but witht success.
