using vb.net and DataGridView with a CheckBox Column.
How can I prevent two rows from being Checked, so that if I Check one row I want any other one that is Checked to be unchecked?

I tried this code that I found but when I put use this I need to click a few times on a Checkbox, I wan to be able to just click once.
 Private Sub DataGridView1_CellValueChanged(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.Windows.Forms.DataGridViewCellEventArgs) Handles DataGridView1.CellValueChanged
        'Check the column index and if the check box is checked.
        If e.ColumnIndex = CheckColIndex Then
            Dim isChecked As Boolean = CType(Me.DataGridView1(e.ColumnIndex, e.RowIndex).Value, Boolean)
            If isChecked Then
                'If check box is checked, uncheck all the rows, the current row would be checked later.
                For Each row As DataGridViewRow In Me.DataGridView1.Rows
                    row.Cells(e.ColumnIndex).Value = False
                Next
            End If
        End If
    End Sub

Hello,

I want to make an application the follow our progress during a marathon. Everytime someone swims 100 meters the application creates an record, with the actual time and the planned time. Planned time is the time to stay on schedule. With the chart i want to monitor our progress. I have a table like this:
Source table of chart
In this table you see the distance in meters, the current duration, and the planned duration.

I want to make an chart in vb.net winform, that updates every minute with the new registered data.
The chart should look like this:
The chartOnly then the y axis should be the distance (afstand) and the X axis should be the time.

Can someone please tell me how to do this?

Kind regards,

Edward

This example shall be the solution :
https://www.codeproject.com/Questions/644302/where-AttachDBFilenameequals-DataDirectory-aspnetd

In this case its not ASP.NET ,  but a Winform 2010 Project
Dim c As SqlConnection = New SqlConnection("Data Source=.\MSSQLSERVER; AttachDbFilename=|DataDirectory|\myDatabase.mdf;Initial Catalog=Master")
            Try
                c.Open()
            Catch ex As Exception
                MessageBox.Show("" + ex.Message)
            End Try

Open in new window

doesnt work, says : "cant find the server " I changed 'MSSQLSERVER' to pc name, doesnt matter, got the same error.
Why it looks for the ServerName, I considered this way to connect as some to get ride of the server. The Database.mdf is linked to the project, so why it needs the server?

I have a standard client / server application, VB .Net a running on the client hitting a SqlServer database. Half of the users are in the same location as the database server and the other half work in another city. The remote folks are coming into the database server thru a 3mb MPLS. In both sites I have a 20mb internet line. The physical disk storing the database is averaging 200 IOPS ,123 MBs, Reads 66%, Write 34%.

I am planning to move the application to an AWS EC2 instance. My LAN is connected to the AWS VPC via Virtual Private Gateway.  I am currently running the company retail site in AWS. The website servers in AWS are not part of the domain, but if I move the database server to AWS I assume I will need to make it part of the domain, user id/passwords and such...

I am interested in best practices migrating client/server applications to the cloud. Also anything I should be concerned about regarding security, making AWS servers’ part of my domain and throughput running the application on the cloud.

I am currently developing an application that runs on a server with multiple NICs hence multiple network addresses.  One NIC is external (WAN) and the others remain for various LAN connections (internal).

I am running into difficulty as when i send email using SMTP it sometimes doesn't connect to the SMTP Relay Server - following exhaustive testing we believe occasionally its using the wrong network card.

I have seen part of the .Net for SMTP there is an option to bind to a particular IP address.

Does anyone have a example of being to a particular IP Address using VB.Net and SMTP?

The code I have tried to translate from C# is below but doesn't work.

Greatly appreciate any help.

Public Delegate Function BindIPEndPoint(ByVal servicepoint As System.Net.EndPoint, ByVal RemoteEndPoint As System.Net.IPEndPoint, ByVal RetryCount As Integer) As System.Net.IPEndPoint

Private Function BindIPEndPointCallBack(ByVal servicepoint As System.Net.EndPoint, ByVal RemoteEndPoint As System.Net.IPEndPoint, ByVal RetryCount As Integer) As System.Net.IPEndPoint

        If RetryCount < 3 Then
            Return New System.Net.IPEndPoint(System.Net.IPAddress.Parse("192.168.1.12"), 25)
        Else
            Return New System.Net.IPEndPoint(System.Net.IPAddress.Any, 25)
        End If

End Function

On Button Click

      Dim objMessage As New MailMessage()
        Dim objSmtpServer As New SmtpClient()
        With objMessage
            .From = New …
