Hello everyone,

So back in the days vbulletin was the best forum out there to use.  Nowadays I am hearing that vbulletin is not the top anymore and others have become better.

So I wanted to check what your thoughts are on a good forum to use.... here are the requirements:

1) Very rich in features (embed videos, rich text..).
2) Search Engine friendly
3) User experience does not require a learning curve.
4) Does not require much customizations to give rich professional look.
5) Easy to update to newer versions.
6) I can put some banners on the right or somewhere as ads.

I wish an open-source web cms-site to publish my portfolio (architecture). The sistem shall have configurable fields, and ideally the ability to set-up multi-multi relationships. I don't need social - users, etcetera, only catalog but the way I want. Html5+css3 output.
I would then like to access the same database with libreoffice to easilly retrive different projects for different curricula/portfolio (i.e. only hotels, or only over a certain budget) and format the information in different ways (information in tables, or in forms...).
I don't want to keep both a cv and a website repeating allways the same informations.
I have a small cms experience (old Modx), I was looking at Processwire and Boltcms, but could'nt find any based on firebird as libreoffice does. Wich would be a good solution?
Thank you

Hi there.
I have a website on Wordpress.
On a local server - everything works fine.
On the remote server, I have the "Not found" error on all pages except the homepage.
I've checked .htaccess file, deactivated all plugins, change the Wordpress theme, but the error didn't disappear.
Help me please to solve this problem.
I have the 4.7.1 Wordpress version and "Twenty twelve" website's theme.

I'm working with DNN and just did a (test) upgrade from version 7.2.1 to version 8.0.4. Most everything is working well, with a few fixes.

However, I have one issue I haven't been able to resolve.
In the Admin pages (specifically, Add New Page, but a few others), some (not all) of the dropdowns to select fields - notably the Parent Page dropdown (where you select which page is to be the parent of the new page you are adding)  - don't work.

I get the "spinning wheel" which never resolves. It will just keep spinning indefinitely. This is also the case for the dropdowns for setting the Template Folder, Copy From Page, Filter By Group, and Output Cache Provider, these all do not work.

I've asked on the DNNsoftware forum to no avail so far. There was some talk about Telerik version, but I am using the version installed with the upgrade (and tried swapping in the previous version - same result).

Does anyone know where I should be looking for a solution to this issue?

Thanks

Tom

Hello! Please excuse my english. I'm a beginner. So I'm managing a website. It is for a ski resort and we have during the winter season in the header a widget which displays the actual weather, the number of open trails and the snow accumulation. Actually, we must update the weather by ourself each hour. So I think I will have to use API. I know Openweathermap which provide API for that. I'm the CMS were working with, I can add iFrames and HTML code. I also have access to the server to upload files. Can someone help with what I'm trying to do? See the screenshot to see the widget. The answer of the API call need to be text in a particular font (Ubuntu) and be responsive. Is what I'm trying to do possible? I searched for hours now and I don't know what to do.

The widget
Thank you !

I am looking for some suggestions from experts for open source solution or suggestions which involve very less cost :

Scenario :

We already have multiple TVs across office and they have central server to manage contents (CMS).
Currently it is not very cost effective and it is out dated technology
We need to have some simple tool which should be able to share contents from central location to multiple screen. We are looking forward to share excels sheets, dashboards, presentation.

Appreciate if any one can suggest

I am a network engineer who has been tasked with rolling out a backup service for our Salesforce account and have been looking at three vendors with the assistance of our (non-IT) salesforce administrator.  This is a system that he will administer; I'm just involved to do the due diligence.

His preference is Spanning, although he also likes Backupify.  Between the two, he's stated that he'd be completely okay with either product.  We've also looked at OwnBackup.  Our salesforce admin says he could certainly "live with" OwnBackup and I shouldn't refrain from choosing them if I thought they were better, but he likes the other two better.

The sales reps from all three vendors have stated that their product is the only one that will restore all data (including metadata, related records, etc.), and that using one of the others may potentially result in significant disruption to our environment in the event of a problem.

For my part, I am only concerned with three things.  First, we need an indefinite retention period.  My team isn't yet certain what our legal requirements will be in that regard (the company is expanding rapidly, and adding offices nationwide), and we'd prefer to not have to worry about it.  Second, we want to ensure that any data transmission is encrypted (obviously).  Third, we want to ensure that any restoration actually works.  Normally, I wouldn't bother saying that third point as it would seem obvious, but each of these vendors is saying that this is not …
