Here's a tech challenge for you...

I need to create a 54 card deck, two sided. That means I need to lay out all 54 cards thusly...

Front:
1,7,13
2,8,14
3,9,15
4,10,16
5,11,17
6,12,18

Back:
13,7,1
14,8,2
15,9,3
16,10,4
17,11,5
18,12,6

This is how I make the first two sided 18 cards, and have four more PDF's to make the remainder of the 54 cards.

THE PROBLEM is when I need to create sample decks to play through and verify the sequence and content is ideal. What a pain it is to insert a new card at the top of the deck! The whole thing needs to be redone!

Is there a graphic tool that can help me? I would seriously lay down some cash (maybe $100 ;) if it could solve this problem for me.

I have Adobe Acrobat Pro, but nothing else

I wold love a drag and drop interface that lets me re-order the cards, then assigns a unique number 1-54 based on the card's location in the list of 54.

So, wat I mean is that I could contract 54 card faces X 2 == 108, then have them generate the 6 PDF's that have 18 cards on each.

Thanks

Judging buy the icons my wrist made up, I need to purchase some ready made icons. But these are not the usual:

Copy/Paste/Delete

type of icons.

They will be:

"Revolutionary War"
"War of 1812"
"Culture War"

for example

Any idea where I can find a bunch of icons I can select from?

I need this for a product I am making, but not a web product, it's printed.

Thanks

I am working with a .png file in Paint (that is the only tool I have access too for editing images).   The image has a lot of white space on top, I am trying to select the area that has the image and copy / paste to a new image, so I can remove the white space,  The challenge I am having is the image goes beyond the viewing range and when I try to select with the mouse it isn't working correctly. If I try to resize to 10% then I can select and resize it, but then the image becomes blurry from resizing it.   Any ideas on how I can get around this?  I would upload the file but it contains information that restricts me from doing so.  Thanks for any assistance.

I have 100 pictures in jpg and they all have different sizes. and what I want to do is below.

1. Select all pictures
2. Make all the pictures have the same size (e.g. 100 x 100)
3. Save all into file system like c:\\download\pictures\

I do not care how it looks like. I just need them have the same size.

Please let me know if any graphic software can do it. If yes, how.

Thanks,

I need to make a simple 3D object as follows:
-      A cylinder flat as a disk. The diameter is 150mm and thickness 40mm.
-       I need to drill (through) a hole 10mm in the center of the disk.
-      The last action: by sides, on 8 points equal distance between them,  around the perimeter of the circle, at the middle of the thickness, I need to drill holes with diameter 20mm and depth 25mm.
That is all, quite simple. I do not need sophisticated programs.
What program do you recommend me as for a beginner, something that I learn in 30min max. ?
I tried Sketch up which is intuitive,  and easy to play, but making the holes by side seems a terrible job to do with intersections. Something else more simple?
Do not tell me about Autocad, SolidWorks, Catia, ProEngineer or other sophisticated programs.
If it is something that I cannot understand in 30min, forget it.
I have seen a big list of free CAD packages. I even tried some but I could not learn easy.
I need something easy and  fast. It is a simple task.
I looked at some as: OpenScad, Blender, Wings, 3D Crafter, NaroCAD, FreecAD, 123Design, Houdini…, but are too many and I do not know which one can do the job easy and fast.

Any suggestion?

I know I can do that with preview, but the function is a bit limited.

I have about 50 pics to resize. The all need to be 500px on the longest size and 30% jpg quality.

Please recommend an appropriate app. I don't mind is its free Or paid. As long as it does the job.

Thx

From what I understand, anything on WikiPedia is public domain, and therefore available for the taking. True?

Also, does WikiPedia have another site where images can be gotten?

What other sites are there whereby any image I see is in the public domain?

Thanks.

What software would allow someone else to take pictures of the subject from a computer, on the other end of a video call?  I'm not talking about a regular video chat like Skype would do, but something aimed at photographers that would allow the customer to be guided by the photographer and where the customer would not have to work the camera during the shoot.

I'm working on some research for building a new website.

The main purpose of this website is to display multiple charts on the screen at the same time with a 'Time slider' across the bottom of the screen.
All the charts should adjust with the time slider as "selection criteria".
The charts will be simple line charts and bar charts.

The database will be MySQL and I don't have any preference for programming language.

This is very grass roots level so very option to any suggestions.

My initial research on google returned Periscopedata.com
The key is the website will need to be very visually appealing.  Data is normally very boring!

Any good alternatives to Periscope Data?

I have a PNG file that I need to use in a photoshop document. I have attached it to the case.

I need to shrink this png file to 100px height. When I do that, the edges of the image become jagged and look terrible. Is there any way to fix this? I do not have the source file.

Thanks in advance for any help or guidance.

Hi,

For Windows 10:

I am writing a novel set in a fictitious community. I am considering including a map at the front of the book., It would contain at least:
  • Street names (the town is laid out in a grid)
  • Important locations (e.g. Steve's house, the local library, etc, etc.)
For the latter, I would settle for simply having numbers in circles/squares (1, 2, 3) which would tie in to a key at the bottom. or, I suppose the ability to insert a text box would work.

So...can anyone suggest some easy-to-use software that could support the above? Simple is fine: I'm not seeking anything fancy.

Thanks,
Steve

Have no idea how this happened.  I'm sure a wrong combination of F keys or other buttons were pressed.
I'm working on an artboard and colored shapes and then all of a sudden all colors are gone and just the black and white outline remains (see graphic)error.png

I'm building a 3D model in Sketchup, considering buying the Pro which can output more formats. I would like to send a link to about ten people, so that they can look around the model. What are the best ways to do this? I'd like to NOT have to install plugins. If there's no way around, I would like to create 360 images (so that they can look around at predefined points in the 3d model). One 360 image per predefined point, preferrably high resolution, so they are able to zoom in digitally.
Any ideas?

I'm want to be able to both drag and rotate an SVG object.  I have it working correctly - almost.   I'm using the .call(drag); on the object, where I have dragstarted, dragged, and dragended function.  I'm also using .attr("transform", "rotate(angle, x, y)"; to rotate the object.

Now from what I understand, rotate does not just rotate the object, but rotates the coordinate system and thus the object.  So, it I rotate an object say 180 degrees, the coordinate system of the object and that of the underlying canvas no longer align.  So now when I drag the rotated object, it does not go where I want it - the movement is exactly opposite.  If I drag up, it goes down, if I drag right, it goes left.  I'm using d3.event.x and d3.event.y to determine the coordinates of where the drag occurs, but these coordinates are in the underlying canvas coordinate system, and not the coordinate system of the rotated object.

How do I compensate for this behavior?

I went into Illustrator and had this blue thing appear.  What is it for? How do I manipulate it?

I've read that the PNG format compresses lines and boxes very well so I'm assuming that the compression is more mathematical, almost like a vector image. So if you had a PNG image of a black box on a white background, you could expand  it by 4X and still see perfectly sharp corners.  Is this the case?  And how could I see this "perfect" 4X image, since if you bring the PNG into something like Photoshop it gets converted to a BMP, which will certainly not have perfect corners if you expand it by 4X.

Thanks for any thoughts.
