Web development can range from developing the simplest static single page of plain text to the most complex web-based internet applications, electronic businesses, and social network services using a wide variety of languages and standards, including the familiar HTML, JavaScript and jQuery, ASP and ASP.NET, PHP, ColdFusion, CSS, PHP, Flex and Flash, but also the implementation of a broad list of standards including XML, WSDL, SSDL, VoiceXML and many more.

Is there someone had implemented this before? That's to generate pdf files online via JavaScript or ASP.Net effectively?

The background is that I got few pages of forms to be filled in by end user and they now requested it to have the feature to generate a pdf version of what have been filled in.

I also need to be browser compatible as far as it can, thank you.

When I go to Google.com and search for "tulsa events", google returns a very pretty scrolling slideshow of events in the area above the "normal" search results. Is there a way that I can somehow capture these via an API, preferably as an RSS feed?

Hello Experts - wondering what the latest best practice approach for implementing a modal overlay on corporate website is for cross-platform/device and backwards compatibility?

jQuery plugin? HTML5 CSS3? something else?

Thanks.

we have an angularjs 2 application and we are planning for the automation on build Process.
We have 4 repository modules which has been been setup on Gitlab server. we need to pull these  Repository modules to Jenkin server, what we need is the  Grunt script to create these  builds  independently.

Hello,

This question has probably been asked many times before, but I just couldn't find the answer.

For our new site (built on Wordpress) we want 5 selected posts to be displayed directly under the main domain.
Or otherwise - their permalinks to be domainxyz.com/particular-post1/ up to domainxyz.com/particular-post5/

We don't want to change the overall permalink global settings. We still have the rest of our posts nicely organized/categorized.

I know that I could create a page instead of a post.
Unfortunately we need the post functionalities that are not present for pages in our Wordpress theme/template.

Please, feel free to ask for more information if needed.

Thank you,
Ian

Some time back we had a tech that would create super fast animated movies with apps called "Flash" (not sure).  The produced file, extension *.swf, would then uploaded and it would be online.  Not only was for animation but also for standard stuff as menus, windows, forms, etc.

We are looking for something similar, easy to run and ofcouse free.

Please advice.

I'm trying to figure out, using Javascript, how to detect the value of an email input by using the last attribute "aria-invalid" (will equal "true" or "false"). The issue is other fields on the page use the same attribute "aria-invalid" in the same fashion. Not sure how I can read the value of the email input attribute only? I can NOT add any code to the element and NO jQuery please.

<input class="masked-zip-code not-empty input-validation-error" data-val="true" data-val-regex="Enter a valid (5-digit) ZIP code." data-val-regex-pattern="^\d{5}(-\d{4})?$" data-val-required="Enter a ZIP code" id="ZipCode" name="ZipCode" type="text" value="" aria-required="true" aria-describedby="ZipCode-error" aria-invalid="true">

Hello,

I want to temporarily redirect all visitors to a new site to a under_construction.php page while I finish the site, but allowing me to see the real site. I've come up with the following:

//Rewrite to www
Options +FollowSymLinks
RewriteEngine on
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^mysite.com[nc]
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://www.mysite.com/$1 [r=301,nc]
RewriteCond %{REMOTE_ADDR} !^127\.0\.0\.1$
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !/under_construction\.php$
RewriteRule .* http://www.mysite.com/under_construction.php [R=302,L]

//Prevent viewing of .htaccess file
<Files .htaccess>
order allow,deny
deny from all
</Files>

Open in new window

Address 127.0.0.1 will be actually my visible IP address.

My problem is that under_construction.php fetches images from the /img/ folder which of course are not properly displayed. How can I include that folder in the rewrite rule?

Thanks in advance!

Is there any issue with leaving this as is? I'm sending out image requests and getting this in the dev. console:

Resource interpreted as Document but transferred with MIME type image/gif

I do see the image requests going out. Just didn't know if this was an issue or if I could ignore this?

I have code that iterates through an array (which is fed by an object) and processes image sources to be invoked in an iframe. The issue is, I'm getting an  "Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'appendChild' of null" ERROR only when reloading page. If I do a "Empty Cache and Hard reload" it seems to works fine 100%. If I navigate away and back it works fine 90% of the time. If I do a regular reload, the error occurs every time on the last line, of the initial image source ("document.body.appendChild(iframeTag);" ) in the following code.  I do however see the initial image source call going out :
function insertStaticTag(imgSrc) {
    var iframeTag = document.createElement("iframe");
    iframeTag.setAttribute("width", "1");
    iframeTag.setAttribute("height", "1");
    iframeTag.style.display = "none";
    iframeTag.style.border = "none";
    var imgTag = document.createElement("img");
    imgTag.src = detokenizeTags(imgSrc);
    iframeTag.appendChild(imgTag);
    document.body.appendChild(iframeTag);
};

Open in new window

Not sure what could be the issue? Any thoughts?

Thanks!

I had this question after viewing JavaScript: Issue with onClick.  I asked this question today as I had issues with making the function work in the first place.

I assume that the regular expression is correct as it should only accept dates in the 2016-12-30 format. I believed that adding a regular expression is sufficient for the date validation to work. Obviously I was wrong.

How do I make a regular expression work in JavaScript? Do I need to add an if loop with a boolean value?
