Twitter post- @NETGEARhelp #wifi ,@NETGEAR Best setup? NightHawk AX-8. Not gamer, streamer, have 1st gen Orbi as well, want fastest, most reliable WiFi. I have 1gbs service connection. My house is 4K sqft.  Do I buy Orbi 6 as an add on and hope for best? Does it matter. 56 IOT’s and counting. I’m tired of “not enough bandwidth”. service throughput is not an issue.  Help.

I have a Samsung Note 8 on Verizon wireless and wish to use wifi calling. It works in some places but not in others. At a place I spend a lot of time at, it will work but sporadically. When it doesn't work, I have to turn off my wifi to make a call.

I have noticed at this location that iPhone users have a message in the upper left 'VZW-Wi-fi' when they are using wifi calling, is there anything like this on my phone? Also the iPhone users have told me that sometimes they cannot connect to wifi calling even though they are connected to the wifi. Does Verizon wireless limit the number of users that can connect on wifi calling from a particular location?

Hello Experts,

I am looking for a WIFI router that will restrict access during certain time windows in the day.

In other words, I would like to allow access only during times like this:

11 AM - 1 PM
5 PM - 7 PM
1 AM - 3 AM
5 AM - 7 AM

Can anyone suggest a good WIFI router that will do this?

Thanks!

So we have a bunch of Aruba 215 access points running with a virtual controller.

I have set up a radius server and from the CLI i can successfully authenticate

aaa test-server ISE-01 username aaron.street@park-now.com password <password> auth-type pap
Radius server ISE-01 test successfully

on the Radius "ISE" server i see

Event	5200 Authentication succeeded
Username	aaron.street@park-now.com
Endpoint Id	A8:BD:27:CF:3B:8E
Endpoint Profile	HP-Device
Authentication Policy	Default >> Default
Authorization Policy	Default >> Basic_Authenticated_Access

However when i assign these radius server to a SSID and try to authenticate a client it gets

Event	5400 Authentication failed
Username	USERNAME
Endpoint Id	A4:50:46:1F:13:33
Endpoint Profile
Authentication Policy	Wireless_POC >> Default
Authorization Policy	Wireless_POC

where did the USername go? This same set up on ISE works fine with the Meraki wireless but Aruba is having issues.

HAs any one else has issues trying to run PEAP and EAP-TLS on Aruba wireless over 802.1x

Is there any way to solve this or make it impossible for them to figure it out??

How to make a mac/iOS device connect to a VPN (ExpressVPN) only when not connected to a specific wifi network (our company network)?

I am having problems with my wifi  network adapter. It is a Broadcom 802.11n  adapter. I am running on Windows 10 which is part of a dual boot system on my Mac. The Wi-Fi is showing as on  in settings but it is showing as not connected in the network connections dialogue.  I have tried to update the driver but says that everything is up-to-date.

Apple Watch Series 3 and several different iPhones: I pair the watch and the iPhone and the iPhone says you need to update the watch to complete pairing. When I hit "update watch" it eventually says "unable to update, not connected to the internet". I am connected to the internet through a 300mbs wifi connection. I've tried a few different networks and iPhones. What am I missing?

2 Fresh install windows 10 with Quickbooks.. the main computer that holds the quickbooks data files works fine with another computer.

The problem computer will sometimes allow the network share folder to open and most of the time not. Sometimes when I ping from it to the other and vice versa I will get a variety of loss then it will all be good and the share will open after pinging at 100% files show up but error when trying to open quickbooks file.

I have checked driver updates and ordered a new wifi adapter but still persists

what could be the problem?

Dear Experts
We have installed Cisco FTD 1010 for routing and firewall and Cisco FMC for managing FTD . We have CISCO 1830 SERIES (WIRELESS ROUTER)  integrated with windows AD, windows radius server for wireless users of Windows AD to access network. Now would like to implement the best practice method for guest users
1. Please suggest should we have to create guest user in windows AD and provide these details to guests. Guest users  would only require the internet hence not sure is this best practice, think if go by this approach then guest users will connect to the same network

2. or should we have to create guest user at wifi device level and separate guest network from LAN private network ( hence this assigns IP to the guest users and they are not connected to our internal network. Please suggest the best practice.

Thanks in advance.

I'd like to pipe my router logs into Splunk which I will use for educational reasons.  I know how to ingest the data into Splunk properly, but would like to know where on my routers interface where I could redirect the logs so that AIO (all-in-one) can ingest them and index them into Splunk where I can read them.  So the questions isn't really about Splunk, it's only about where i can I found my router logs at once I've logged into it's interface?

I'm running a Sagemcom F@st 5260 WIFI router.

Good Day,

I recently got a E1 line through digium gateway G100, then bought 3 digium d60 and 1 d80 ip phones, and then a conference phone for my office.

I have been using Wifi for over 1year now with zero issues. Use ubiquiti AC Pro, 2 on the floor. open space of 289sqm.

How can I deploy the IP phones without without having to run LAN please?

I need a recommendation for adding Wi-Fi to two Dell Precision Workstations. The situation:

Router: Linksys WRT-1900ACS with dual 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz networks. At present the 5 GHz is used only by a smart TV and one iPhone. The 2.4GHz network supports three Internet radios.

The Internet connection will be Comcast Xfinity 300 Mb/s. The Linksys router will connect to the Comcast modem and provide the local Wi-Fi. I do not plan to use the Comcast modem's Wi-Fi capability.

Computers: Dell Precision Workstations T3600 (Windows 7) and T5810 (Windows 10). Both have available USB 3.0 ports. Expansion slots available:

T3600: PCI, PCIe x16, PCIe x1
T5810: PCI, PCIe 2.0 x1, PCIe 3.0 x8

At present both PCs use Ethernet hardwire connections to the router. I'm moving and may not be able to run Ethernet cables. This is why I need Wi-Fi capability.

I want responsive Internet connections although there is very little video downloading.

What is the best approach? USB? Expansion cards? Please suggest specific products if practical.

I have an HP laptop.   All of a sudden the wireless cyonnection is enabled, but it says there are no wireless connections available.   THere are wireless options available but this adapter will not show any.   When you left click on wirelessicon in lower right corner, it gives you a choice to turn on manually, 1 hour, 4 hours, next day.    Any idea how to stop this and show wireless networks?   It is an HP running win 10

MyPhoneExplorer 1.8.12 released      2019-06-17

They say:
Simply explore your Android phone !
Connect your phone via WiFi, cable or bluetooth and you'll be surprised how easy and efficient it will be to manage your phone with our software. Since it's first release MyPhoneExplorer evolved into the most popular freeware tool for smartphones. The software is constantly updated with new features.

Anyone have experience with this app?

My main question: in syncing data, does the transfer between android phone and PC get sent encrypted, or can anyone read it?

Thanks!

When you have a business that has say 5 Access Points in a building is all you really need to do is set the SSID and Security the same on all of them so anyone in the building can Roam at which point they will transparently move from AP to AP?

That is more in the Client's ability isn't it?

Hi ladies and gents.  Has anyone worked with Datto's AP using Cisco Switches?  Currently we have about 10 AP's that are meshed within the organization all communicating with Cisco Switches.   However 1 AP is constantly spamming MAC addresses to the switch which is showing the following.

001247: Oct  9 10:07:12.401: %SW_MATM-4-MACFLAP_NOTIF: Host f439.0917.a34c in vlan 3 is flapping between port Gi1/0/24 and port Gi1/0/14
001248: Oct  9 10:08:33.671: %SW_MATM-4-MACFLAP_NOTIF: Host b00c.d14b.decf in vlan 3 is flapping between port Gi1/0/24 and port Gi1/0/8
001249: Oct  9 10:08:52.445: %SW_MATM-4-MACFLAP_NOTIF: Host 84a9.3e46.1588 in vlan 3 is flapping between port Gi1/0/24 and port Gi1/0/6
001250: Oct  9 10:09:52.236: %SW_MATM-4-MACFLAP_NOTIF: Host 10e7.c6b6.51a3 in vlan 3 is flapping between port Gi1/0/24 and port Gi1/0/12

We have spoken with Datto about this and they had suggested a few things such as disabling mesh and internet listening since they are all on the same domain which we have done.   We have also flashed every AP to 6.5.2 which is the latest firmware on the AP from 6.4.15.   MACFLAPPing continues.

Datto had advised us to change the settings on the switch from flooding to filtering which we did and caused havoc with our phones so we had to re-enable flooding.   All the other AP's are perfectly fine and do not spam any of ther other switches with MAC addresses.   I have factoried the AP reflashed the firmware and it is still happening.    The device is…

Hi Folks,

I am just wondering how to decide the location of wireless access points in a building while it is not yet ready. We just got floor plans and we need AP locations and handover to buildinc contractor for cabling.
We need to enable proper wireless coverage in our 4 floor building
We will be using Cisco Wireless Access Points 9115ax with Cisco 3504 controller.

Any thoughts

Good day, long post ahead, help needed!

We help a shelter that is having major connectivity problems. Here is the situation.

In the spring, we had to perform a hard reset on each AP. Unfortunately, the controller was lost in a computer swap out before we came to assist this building. We recreated the networks, and ever since, they have been having terrible connectivity on their devices. On average, every day 3-4 devices cannot connect. Usually the message is 'Cannot connect to network' or similar. Sometimes they connect, but then have no access to internet. They will 'forget' the network, and maybe 50% of the time it works. Sometimes they just leave the phone, and a few hours go by and it works again. Extremely inconsistent. The experience score is low, usually around 50-60%.

The building is on 3 levels. There are 3 on the main floor, 2 on each upper floor. They are all installed in central locations in hallways on the ceiling. They are all UAP-AC-Lite Access points, powered by a US-8-150W.

When I am onsite, my devices connect with no problem, signal strength is good too. But they constantly are having issues, and I am getting desperate for help. An important thing to note is that there was NO connectivity issues before we reconfigured the access points.

Here is what I have tried:

Removing/re-configuring all the wifi networks.
Manually set the 2.4G channels to either 1, 6, or 11, hoping they wouldn't interfere.
Daily reboots of APs
Configure DTIM to 3/3

I purchased a used NIXPLAY photoframe item. Model W08A. Batch number 03/54. It let me register accomplish the pairing with my WIFI but will not let me join the mandatory website due to the unit being already registered. I bought this as a donated item from Habitat for Humanity so naturally it has already been registered. Does anyone know how to transfer ownership under these circumstances. Their customer support is not available at this time.

Never really messed with them before but got one in today and was a little taken back by the results:

1) It only repeated 1 SSID. Is that normal? I really needed to extend 3.
2) I would have thought it would have kept the SSID the same as the one it was repeating. It didn't. It created a new SSID. That isn't really what I wanted. I wanted to simply extend the original SSID. Now I see two. How is my customer supposed to know which one to connect to? Is this normal?

Anybody else experiences this. At first, I thought it was our home/office internet but I also see the same thing but to a far less degree when I am out of office.

I used the Lenovo system to check the wifi card driver and it tells me it is up to date.y920.jpg
Any help would be appreciated.

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen

we need to find whether D-Link DWM-222 Dongles have any security vulnerability (with latest firmware update).
Do you know any? If not where should I start?

Thanks
