How to Import and Export Wordpress Files

The purpose of this video is to demonstrate how to Import and export files in WordPress.

This will be demonstrated using a Windows 8 PC.

Video Steps

1. Go to your WordPress login page. This will look like the following: mywebsite.com/wp-login.php

2. Click on Tools – Export in Dashboard. Select what you want to export and hit Download Export File on the bottom of the page.

3. On the blog onto which you want to Import files to:

4. Click on Tools- Import in Dashboard

5. Select Wordpress on the provided table

6. A plugin installation window will appear. Install and activate plugin: WordPress Importer.

7. Select the XML file which you Downloaded in Step 2.

8. Click Upload File and Import Bottom
