In this video, we chat to you about managing a Windows 2019 Server running Core and how you can manage your system using sconfig.cmd.

Sconfig allows you to join the machine to the domain, get windows updates, update or view your IP info. As there is no GUI in server core, all has to be done either through this tool or PowerShell.

Video Steps

1. Launch Sconfig.cmd

When you open your Windows 2019 Server, you will be presented with just a command prompt. Type in sconfig.cmd and press enter

2. Select an Option

You have 1-15 options to choose from withing sconfig, make your selection and then follow the prompts following that selection.
