In this video we walk you through the process of finding a database using PowerShell and then deleting the default database from an Exchange Mailbox Server that is created when you install Exchange Server 2019.

Video Steps

1. Launch Exchange Management Shell

Click on start and then expand Microsoft Exchange Server 2019. Right Click on Exchange Management Shell and runas Administrator.

2. Type in command

At the prompt, type in the following command: Get-MailboxDatabase and press enter.

3. Remove Database

Once you have found the database, you can run the following command: Remove-mailboxdatabase -identity "Database name" -confirm:$all
