MAP Blade C3000 USB Port to Internal Blade 460c
Hello Experts.
I have a Blade C3000 enclosure. I need to attached a USB Disk Drive to one of the Internal Blades to carry out data transfer ( large PST Files ). On the Bottom Front Left of the enclosure there is a USB port ( beside the Reset Button ).  I have connected a USB disk and it displays the online lights. However I can not see it in the enclosure and I can't connect to it via Blade itself. I am using the Onboard Administrator.
Am I just missing something simple ?
Thanks

Hello,

The USB port on the Onboard Administrator does not connect to the blades. It is used to upgrade the firmware on the OA. To connect a USB device to a blade, you will need a local diagnostics I/O cable. HP part # 416003-001. If you look at the front of the blade, you will see a port where the cable connects.

Windows Server 2003 was based on Windows XP and was released in four editions: Web, Standard, Enterprise and Datacenter. It also had derivative versions for clusters, storage and Microsoft’s Small Business Server. Important upgrades included integrating Internet Information Services (IIS), improvements to Active Directory (AD) and Group Policy (GP), and the migration to Automated System Recovery (ASR).
