Lotus DOMINO change "Delivery Failure Report" email address delivery

Hi,
I'd like to change the email address that my DOMINO server used to send NDR (mail router).
That look weird but i can't found where this email is setup.
Sample notification:
Delivery Failure Report
Your message:      Executable File Violation
was not delivered to:      procument01@iss-shipping.com
because:      Error transferring to cluster8.eu.messagelabs.COM; SMTP Protocol Returned a Permanent Error 550 (#5.1.1)

What should you do?
You can resend the undeliverable document to the recipients listed above by choosing the Resend button or the Resend command on the Actions menu.
Once you have resent the document you may delete this Delivery Failure Report.
If resending the document is not successful you will receive a new failure report.
Unless you receive other Delivery Failure Reports, the document was successfully delivered to all other recipients.

Do you mean the email address that the NDR comes from, i.e. your server's name, or the text of the NDR message?  Could you give us a screen shot say of what you mean?

Hi Steve,
I mean the email address in the TO field of the NDR(see attachement), the one the server used to send all NDR.
NDR Domino

Still confused, sorry, what you show is normal?

A NDR  will show as coming from "Mail router" and if you looked at the from address it would be yours.
The To address is the one you were trying to send to.

Are you getting junk NDR's i.e. ones you haven't sent the original mail, in which case need to track down whether it is coming from your network or server or junk mail sent from your domain name by others in which case implement SPF in DNS will help a lot.

Hi Steve,

Thanks for your feedback.
I'm a little bit confused myself.

The NDR is send FROM Postmaster@myhomedomain.com  TO helpdesk@myotherhomedomain.com
Here after the full SMTP message.
The more i see it the more  i'm thinking about spam to the mailbox postmaster.
Since I'm not really familiar with Domino, and wonder if the domino server would not have somewhere a setting that send a copy of the NDR to the mailbox helpdesk@myotherhomedomain.com.

OK, not sure which domains are held by our domino server or whether the "mysmtpgateway is also domino but....

Something internally or from externally trying to use you as a relay sends a message to "mysmtpgateway.myotherhomedomain.com ([10.85.1.16])" which has from address of "helpdesk@myotherhomedomain.com"

You have that set perhaps to relay via your webmail.myotherhomedomain.com Domino server so it is transferred to domino?

Domino tries to send message to "sales@sagadent.com.ua" which is junk / executable and rejected by the sagadent.com.ua domain.  Only thing I can think of re: postmaster is it is then being pushed back to your "mysmtpgateway" server to send the NDR which goes to the From address which was helpdesk@...

So... this original email may or not be being sent from your server, network, pc etc. or just your sent address is being used as a spoofed sender address, e.g. because it has been harvested from other people's emails or from your web page etc.

Do you see any outgoing mail from helpdesk@... and is this a real address, and are either or both of these domains of yours related to the domino server or is it just getting the NDR?

Both myhomedomain.com and myotherhomedomain.com are domains that belong to us.
Both domain have their own home hosted domino server.
mysmtpgateway.myotherhomedomain.com is the host link to the primary incoming MX record for both domains.

helpdesk@myotherhomedomain.com is barely used today, no trace of any documents sent to the "@sagadent.com.ua" which confirmed your theory.
I also discover that the postmaster@myhomedomain.com is an internet address attach to a lotus admin account (not really smart from those who installed domino).

As immediate action i did:
-change postmaster email address on that admin account so that it can't be identify as valid sender.
-add domain sagadent.com.ua to my blacklist on the mysmtpgateway Symantec Messaging Gateway.

I will monitor the traffic for the next day and see if i still received those NDR.

Thank you very much for help.
