Need FREE unzip program. I have Windows 11. I wish to download and install a program named IVMS-4200. It is a utility by Hikvision that enables a person to view cameras hooked up to the same network. When I click on the downloaded program it then brings up WINZIP and it tells me that my trial has expired and give me no options but to spend $80 on the program. I do not want to spend that money for a utility that I would use very infrequently. I actually DID spend the $80 years ago for a lifetime license, however they are saying that they find no record of that transaction. I do not want to see their sales pitch but I do need to unzip the program without dealing with winzip. Experts…Your suggestions please.

Try 7zip, unless the file compression in your download is using additional commercial tools it should handle it.
Windows also includes a basic compression tools based on the WinZip code.
You're getting the pop-up from WinZip simply because it's the currently registered default app on your system for handling.zip files. You can change this in your Windows Default Apps settings or the association will be updated if you install a different tool.
If it doesn't work anymore uninstall WinZip. Then the default action should return to integrated folder view in Explorer.

Uninstall Winzip. If you're not going to use it, why do you still have it installed?
Once uninstalled, the Windows native zip/unzip should work by default.
You can also install 7zip as recommended by others. But if you only unzip things once in a while, there's really no need for 7zip.
Qlemo, Gerwim Jansen and Lee W. MVP. Your recommendations are spot on? I had no idea that right clicking the file name would bring up the unzipper. It did work perfectly. It will probably be the only unzipper I will ever need. I tried it and I got it to do the job just fine. Thanks!! Experts, I will remove Winzip for sure. Thanks for helping me!!
FYI - You can inversely create zip files as well.
Select the files you wish to zip up, right-click and select Send to and then select Compressed (zipped) folder

Note: the one thing the built-in capability lacks is compatibility with password protected zip files. For that, you'd need 7Zip or some other third party product.
