Worked for 25 years for a Canadian Hearing Aid manufacturer until 1999. Spent the last 5 years there in the IT department in charge of LAN / WAN security, Corporate Backup Systems (Backup Exec & Legato), internet access / proxy, firewalling / internet filtering, modem pooling, VPN to our Michigan office utilizing Cisco 1720 routers, corporate email systems (MS Exchange 5.5), network upgrades, server specification & installation, help desk support. Acted as backup Network Administrator in Canada and IT supervisor for our Michigan office.
Have done assembly language on Motorola 680x processors.
Extensive programming in Visual Basic 3 and 5.
Some experience with Linux and IBM AIX on Risc 6000 boxes.
Have been involved in hardware design / service for over 20 years.

Then spent 6 months in a simaler role at a local college.

 From there I decided to take my part time business of 10 years to a full time consulting level, specializing in Web Site design, security, antivirus and general pc/network support for local small businesses, and individuals alike.
