I got involved in Experts-Exchange when I first started learning how to use Macromedia Flash. I learned very quickly that there just weren't enough people to answer questions. Most of the questions I posted were either answered by the same 2 people, or they went unanswered and eventually I just found my own solution and deleted them. I decided then that I needed to try to add to the community.
I love the notion of Experts-Exchange (experts helping experts or those aspiring to be an expert). I'm a heavy T-SQL user and I consider myself an expert in that area, so I started helping out with what I knew and always got a good feeling when I was able to help someone. I also realized very quickly that every time I answered a question I would learn something new or at least re-apply something I used to know but may have forgotten. I'm still learning Flash and I use it daily, so when I see a problem I'll try to give it a shot. Mostly though, you'll see my answers centered around database oriented questions. It's a wonderful way to keep sharp in what you "think" you know. I'm definitely not the smartest guy here, but if you need help, I'd love you give your problem a shot!
