The Manager of IT and Office Administration leads the delivery of all services related to
information technology (IT), communication, human resources (HR), and general administrative
functions of CPSS. Acts as the primary resource and advisor to the Registrar & CEO, and to CPSS
managers and staff, on IT, communication, HR, and administrative management matters.
Monitors the College's IT, communication, HR and administrative framework to ensure best
practices are identified and applied, and researches and recommends policy direction for
addressing emerging concerns. Maintains a current understanding of relevant developments to
ensure that Council is informed and aware of emerging trends and directions related to IT,
communication, HR and administrative management. Liaises with external contacts as necessary
to promote the College's interests with respect to IT, communication, HR and administrative
matters. Provides advice and support internally and externally as required.

Overview of Responsibilities

• Oversees the IT and HR functions by ensuring compliance with relevant policies, procedures and
legislation
• Reviews IT needs and provides recommendations related to IT services including software
and hardware requirements.
• Coordinates CPSS-wide IT systems developments and improvements.
• Prepares and manages the budget for IT and Human Resources.
• Reviews service contracts and liaises with external firms as required.
• Manages inventory of computer equipment and software including the life cycle
management.
• Develops, recommends and implements communication strategies.
• Directs, and implements human resource programs relating to compensation, benefits, short
term disability, recruitment, training and development, human resources planning, and
performance support framework.

Full Biography

I am a highly motivated individual, that can adapt to any situation. I have never met a challenge that I was unable to complete. My ability to learn quickly and take pride in what I do has propelled me up the Information Technology ladder in my current organization quite rapidly.

I am currently working on putting my in depth knowledge and skills to paper by taking my MCSA in Server 2012, then completing my Exchange 2010/2013 and Sharepoint 2013 MCSE Certifications.

I have been blessed over the last couple of years in my career, the core group of our IT team are amazing and talented individuals. I have also been given the opportunity to take lead on many large implementation and migrations with Exchange and Sharepoint, by understanding the business needs and make recommendations on the correct topology, doing the implementation, completing the migrations and continually evolving the platforms by supporting the end users.
 
Outside of work I am a proud father and husband, that enjoys the small things in life that you get when you have a family. Besides learning new technologies and platforms my interests include, cooking, sports, outdoors, home repairs, movies and so on.
